Chapter 71: Chapter 24 Capturing the Ghost Flying Lizard! Cabin Breakfast!

Once!

Twice!

Thrice!

In the midst of the violent impacts, the Ghost Flying Lizard’s cries of pain abruptly ceased.

The Clover Mantis didn’t even give it a mont to breathe, repeatedly grabbing the Ghost Flying Lizard’s head and fiercely smashing it into the ground, ruthlessly, without rcy, as if intending to kill it on the spot.

Only after the Ghost Flying Lizard was completely unconscious did the Clover Mantis stop, releasing its feet and landing to the side.

By then, the Ghost Flying Lizard’s head was deeply embedded in the ground.

Such brutal and swift movents not only scared Auson nearly completely into the soil, leaving just a little red sharp tip visible above the ground.

Even Lantern Firefly beca sowhat more cautious, for fear of offending the Clover Mantis in any way.

Char withdrew his astonished gaze.

“Clover Mantis, bring the Ghost Flying Lizard, let’s return to the Garden Secret Realm!”

Char glanced at the sky, noticing the break of dawn, and thus spoke to the Clover Mantis.

Actually, he had planned to go back earlier, but since undead are more active at night, returning at midnight might have disturbed them again, so he waited a bit longer and continued to roam the forest.

Now, with the dawn approaching and having successively captured the Night Helted Owl and the Ghost Flying Lizard, it was ti to head ho.

The strength of the Ghost Flying Lizard was much greater than that of the Night Helted Owl, and simply knocking it unconscious through physical force wouldn’t last long, so Char intended to go back and ask Freyja to see if she had a way to keep the Ghost Flying Lizard under control for an extended period.

The Green Vine Wall slowly opened, and as Char and his companions swiftly slipped inside, the vines quickly closed behind them.

By this ti, the sky was completely bright, the morning sun in the mountains seed to be diffused with countless particles of gold dust, resplendent and yet cool.

Char hadn’t even walked into the wooden house when he slled the scent of food, his eyebrows raised slightly, his expression a bit surprised, but he quickly masked the flicker of emotion on his face.

Stepping into the wooden house, he saw that breakfast was already laid out on the table.

The breakfast looked light, but the presentation showed a carefully crafted elegance, clean and beautiful, very much in line with Char’s impression of elves.

What surprised Char was that it included several types of at.

Seeing Char enter, Freyja, still busy in the kitchen, beca sowhat flustered.

She instinctively wanted to greet him, to say sothing like “You’re back?” but felt that the words were too intimate and swallowed them back, resulting in an awkward silence.

Char’s gaze lingered for a second on Freyja’s face, which had turned a bit more pale, and on the wound that had begun to seep blood again, feeling as if sothing was flowing through his heart.

“Clover Mantis, treat Freyja’s wounds once more,” he said, turning his head toward the Clover Mantis.

The Clover Mantis imdiately dropped the Ghost Flying Lizard, flew in front of Freyja, gestured to her not to worry, and then activated “Clover’s Sumr.”

Freyja originally wanted to say that she had passed the most dangerous stage, and that she could rely on her own recovery for the remaining injuries, without bothering the Clover Mantis to waste magic power, yet her attention was drawn away by the Ghost Flying Lizard.

“Is that… a Ghost Flying Lizard?”

“Do you recognize it?”

Freyja nodded, and at that mont, patches of clovers began to coalesce around her abdon.

“Ghost Flying Lizards are very terrifying creatures. They can enslave ghosts as their servants, though only the lowest-level ghosts. They cannot enslave higher-level ghosts.”

“Aside from that, they possess strong concealnt abilities, are fast, and can launch illusion attacks. They appear and disappear like ghosts in the night, which is very dangerous,”

“In our Elf Tribe, the Ghost Flying Lizard is one of the most dangerous Demon Beasts to watch out for. So Ghost Flying Lizards even sneak into the village at night to hunt Elves. Nearly every Elf Village has had incidents of Ghost Flying Lizards killing soone in its history.”

Seeing Char’s complexion change slightly, Freyja realized her words and added an explanation.

“However, this is because Elves have longer lifespans and our villages have a long history. If it were a human settlent, it’s likely they wouldn’t encounter a Ghost Flying Lizard from their establishnt to their demise.”

“After all, Ghost Flying Lizards are extrely rare, even rarer than the Floral Blue Leopard.”

As Freyja spoke, she petted the head of the Floral Blue Leopard, which acted like a docile big cat by her side.

While talking, Freyja also took a careful look at the Ghost Flying Lizard, which looked sowhat pitiable and remained unconscious.

“This Ghost Flying Lizard doesn’t seem fully grown. If it were fully mature, its strength would be greater than it is now.”

After listening to Freyja’s detailed introduction, Char couldn’t help nodding, then asked, “Freyja, can you make a potion that will keep the Ghost Flying Lizard asleep for a day or two?”

At his words, Freyja seed surprised, but she didn’t ask further and simply nodded, responding confidently, “Yes, I can create a Sleeping Potion that will keep the Ghost Flying Lizard asleep for an extended period of ti. As for the ingredients, I’ve previously strolled through the garden, and we can find them there.”

‘Excellent!’ Char thought to himself.

He had said they needed more partners.

With more partners, many things that were previously troubleso or even unsolvable beco easy.

“Then could you please make so for both the Ghost Flying Lizard and the Night Helted Owl. Is this the breakfast you made? It looks delicious.”

Freyja seed a bit embarrassed.

“I hope it suits your taste.”

At that mont, a small voice interrupted their conversation.

“Mr. Char, Auson, Lady Tangling, and that annoying Lantern Firefly, have you all co back?”

It was Betty.

Betty, who always enjoyed sleeping in, was almost fully rested and was woken up by the noise of Char and the others returning. So, she simply got out of bed and flew into the wooden house—although she had moved into the Garden Secret Realm, she still preferred to sleep in the comfort of her small bed inside the carriage.

“Yes.”

“Betty, co and eat.”

Char, calling for Betty to sit down, got up to take so Life Energy and distributed a portion to each Magic Pet and the two fairies.

“This is Energy Essence, beneficial for Magic Pets and fairies, but it’s not much use to us. However, if you’d like to try so, you can. Would you like to have a taste?”

Seeing Freyja’s gaze on the Energy Essence, Char explained.

This wasn’t him being stingy or using excuses to deceive Freyja, he had genuinely tested the Energy Essence himself.

After all, if Energy Essence could accelerate the growth of Magic Pets, could it possibly speed up the increase in his own strength?

Unfortunately, after consuming so Energy Essence, he found it had no effect on him, so he had to abandon the idea of taking any shortcuts.

“No, no need,”

Freyja hurriedly waved her hand.

The Star Worm, Lantern Firefly, Betty, and others gathered at the table, happily indulging in breakfast.
