Chapter 44: Chapter 44: Bloodthirsty Pupil and Fierce Feather Bow

Chapter 44: Chapter 44: Bloodthirsty Pupil and Fierce Feather Bow

After finishing all that, Char turned his attention to the necklace at the very center of the altar.

It was the item that appeared on the altar along with the Praying Power after the task settlent, which was the equipnt rewarded by the task.

This was a necklace resembling a carved Wild Boar Tooth, made of an unknown type of tal, in a black iron color with faint traces of blood within.

The pendant was also black, though it was unclear how it was dyed, with a carved, hollow eye in the middle of the long tooth, appearing blood-red.

From a distance, it looked like a black long tooth with a blood-red eye in its center.

It had a wild, sowhat sinister flavor.

[Bloodthirsty Pupil]

[Attributes]: Strength 2, Constitution 2

[Skills]: Bloodthirst (Level 1)

[Introduction]: A necklace made from a tooth dropped by a Bear Goblin chieftain and a small amount of precious tal, it enhances the wearer’s strength and constitution, and grants the power of bloodthirst. The downside is that long-term wear can make the wearer impulsive and bloodthirsty, but the effect is rather mild.

Char initially thought the rewarded equipnt would be as slly as a nail head hamr, especially considering the na “Bloodthirsty Pupil” was obviously related to “bloodthirst” and Bear Goblins.

Unexpectedly, the necklace was not only odorless but also good-looking, which gave Char a pleasant surprise.

Char reached out and picked up the necklace, and as soon as he touched it, he felt a strange power entering his body, which delighted him.

He had been a bit worried that he might not et the requirents for the Bloodthirsty Pupil equipnt, but now there was no need to worry.

Instantly adding four points to his attributes and acquiring the “Bloodthirst” Level 1 skill greatly enhanced his own strength.

While not yet ready to combat Level 4 adventurers alone, he could now barely manage against most Level 3 adventurers, even though he only possessed the “Universal Arrow Skill” and his attributes had not yet reached the level a Level 3 archer should possess.

After putting on the Bloodthirsty Pupil, Char didn’t rush to leave the Prayer Room.

Next, he planned to use a piece of the Prayer System he had never used before — equipnt.

Equipnt was also a major consur of Praying Power in the ga, though in the ga, it wasn’t the players who wore the equipnt, but the Magic Pets, and of course, the equipnt would only be displayed in the equipnt slots, not on the Magic Pets’ images.

In reality, Char figured that Magic Pets probably couldn’t wear the equipnt, but he and his future subordinates certainly needed it, and as the number of his subordinates increased, so would the demand for equipnt.

The reason he had waited until today to start praying for equipnt

was firstly because Praying Power had been too precious before; he had wished he could split a strand in two for use, not having enough Praying Power to squander.

Secondly, at the ti, it was clear that praying for Magic Pets was more helpful.

Now, having been extrely lucky to recruit such a powerful Magic Pet as the Clover Mantis, he didn’t need to recruit more Magic Pets in the short term and naturally had spare Praying Power to pray for equipnt.

As an archer, even his dagger and necklace were magical items, yet his main equipnt, the bow and arrow, was still just ordinary, which was sowhat unreasonable.

Soon, Char summoned the Prayer System and selected equipnt.

Equipnt prayers weren’t as random as Magic Pet prayers and Plant prayers; though it was another matter whether he could pray for good items, he could still choose which part of the equipnt and type he wanted.

In this regard, the system was still quite user-friendly.

Now, Char chose a bow and arrow.

‘Hope it yields sothing good!’

Looking at the altar shining with the Prayer Light, he silently prayed in his heart.

Equipnt obtained by wishing with Prayer Fragnts could be divided into three levels.

The least impressive gear would probably be the Wild Boar Dagger and Bloodthirsty Pupil. Their increased attributes are limited, generally including only a Level 0 Skill or Level 1 Skill.

Most of the ti, the gear obtained from prayers is of this level.

Higher-level equipnt is a low probability event.

As for the highest-level equipnt? That’s an extrely low probability event; in reality it’s unknown, but in the ga, the studio set the probability at 0.1%.

It takes incredible luck to wish for such items; the only way to increase the likelihood is to use higher-level Prayer Crystals for praying.

For Char, even the guaranteed minimum draw would be acceptable, but since there was a chance for better equipnt, how could he not fantasize about it?

In the dazzling Prayer Light, a beautifully crafted bow and arrow appeared on the altar, along with a fine quiver.

The longbow was predominantly erald green, but its ends were red and carved into feather shapes, making them look like two red feathers.

[Fierce Feather Bow]

[Attributes]: Strength 4, Agility 6, Constitution 3, Perception 4

[Skills]: Fierce Feathered Arrow (Level 2), Fire Bird Power (Level 2)

[Introduction]: This Fire Attribute longbow can fire arrows that deal small-scale lethal damage and can also add fire attribute damage to regular arrows.

What a surprise!

He truly hadn’t expected to actually wish for higher-level equipnt!

At that mont, the text in front of him suddenly flickered and then changed.

[Fierce Feather Bow (Bronze)]

The system seed to have updated in that instant, assigning ratings to different equipnt and establishing a level system.

He imdiately glanced at the Wild Boar Dagger and Bloodthirsty Pupil; both were of Black Iron Level.

After thoroughly testing the new equipnt he had acquired, Char started to get busy with other things.

First, he chose the right wood to make flower pots, which he would later use to grow flowers.

To decorate the cart and give it more of a holy feeling, his first thought was to plant various flowers and grasses.

With Betty around, he wasn’t worried about not being able to keep them alive.

To grow flowers, he needed pots and, in the forest, his only available material was wood.

Other materials, like clay, could be used to make pottery, but he didn’t know how to do that.

Besides flowers and grass, there were also previously hunted animals like deer heads, which could be made into trophies to decorate the interior.

Of course, the best thod was to find a settlent of an intelligent species and trade with them.

It didn’t matter whether this intelligent species was human, elf, dwarf, or half-orc.

Previously, he had been sowhat resistant to this, only daring to interact with other intelligent species when protected by Lantern Firefly, as he always felt uneasy without a strong sense of security.

Though he knew engaging with native forces bore a very low risk of life-threatening danger.

If he, a Level 2 archer with a magic pet of Challenge Level 2, could face a life-threatening danger just from buying so items, then ordinary people in this world might as well not exist!

After all, most people in this world didn’t possess his capabilities, and if his risk resistance was this weak, it was even worse for others.
