In this rare state of relaxation and satisfaction, he soon felt a vague drowsiness envelop him.
The next morning, he was woken by the piercing sunlight.
The morning sun was so dazzling that even with his eyes closed, he could see a faint red through his eyelids, accompanied by a slight burning sensation.
When Char opened his eyes, the first thing he saw was the Clover Mantis and Lantern Firefly exchanging combat techniques mid-air without making a sound to avoid waking him. Their interaction was completely silent.
The Star Worm, Betty, and the Lotus Leaf Frog, like him, were all still asleep.
Sleeping was indeed a contagious affair.
The sunlight shone on him, and at that mont Char felt utterly lazy. He didn’t sit up; instead, he lay there and contentedly started checking his tasks on his personal panel.

Upgrading the castle to the third stage was not going to be easy.
In fact, it was much harder than the first stage—any ga becos progressively harder to level up as you advance.
Char opened the first task, and with a swipe, five minor tasks appeared before him.

There are five tasks in total.
The first task is sowhat easier, as it doesn’t require any blueprints. It’s rely about crafting so small items and planting more flowers and grass to add a living and poetic touch to the carriage.

This isn’t difficult, having Betty around even saves him the trouble of praying for fresh flower seeds with Praying Power.
It ans that these fifty segnts of Praying Power are basically free, but when the task is considered complete, that is for the system to determine.
However, with Betty around, this task shouldn’t take too long.
But the following four tasks are not that easy to complete. Char must successively set up a bedroom, a living room, a kitchen, and a washroom.
Physically separating different rooms isn’t tough, but the issue is it needs to align with blueprints too.
Just like the previous beds, tables and chairs, cabinets, and stoves. And for the second stage, each blueprint requires a Prayer Crystal, which equates to one hundred segnts of Praying Power.
That’s too much, considering he had completed a difficult task and was only rewarded twenty-five segnts of Praying Power.
One hundred segnts of Praying Power—he didn’t know how long it would take or how many tasks he’d need to perform.
Thankfully, the system had so semblance of conscience, returning fifty segnts of Praying Power for each task; otherwise, he would really be tasking himself to death.
Char decided to start with the first task.
The first task not only spared the need to spend Praying Power but also contributed fifty segnts of Praying Power to him. There was no better task than this.
However, before that, he had to spend the current Praying Power he had.
The Praying Power from this task he planned for other purposes, there was no rush to continue upgrading the castle.
Thinking of this, Char suddenly sat up, then rolled off the carriage roof and headed to the Prayer Altar.
In the sowhat cramped square chamber, over twenty segnts of Praying Power floated above the wish altar, emitting a sacred and dreamy brilliance, turning the stone slab that served as the altar golden.
An ancient stone slab engraved with images of Wish Bottles and wishing stars, brilliant light danced across it.
Looking at the Praying Power before him, Char’s face was filled with the joy of a bountiful harvest.
Even though the goblins had brought him considerable danger, the yield was enormous, contributing over twenty segnts of Praying Power in one go.
This was the first ti he had received so much Praying Power at once.
If used for recruiting Magic Pets, he could get two new Magic Pets in one go!
But now, Char certainly wouldn’t use it for recruiting Magic Pets.
With limited Magic Pet slots, each slot was extrely precious.
Now that he already had the protection of the Clover Mantis, there was no issue with safety, there was no need to waste a slot.
Even though the Star Worm and Lantern Firefly could achieve a significant leap in combat power through evolution, and the growth limits of Lantern Firefly and Clover Mantis may not necessarily be lower than those Magic Pets evolved from Demon Beasts.
But recruiting a Magic Pet evolved from a normal animal and recruiting one from a Demon Beast still had significant differences.
After being recruited, Lantern Firefly and the others at their strongest—asuring in combat power—gauged just 5 Challenge Levels, and in most cases even just 1 or 2 Challenge Levels.
Whereas, directly recruiting a Demon Beast as a Magic Pet starts at 6 Challenge Levels, and in high cases, the Challenge Level might even reach 9 or 10.
This is a completely different concept!
So, for Char, instead of hurriedly filling slots with two Magic Pets whose combat power could very likely be similar to that of Lantern Firefly and Lotus Leaf Frog, it’s better to save the slots for later summons.
By then, the new Magic Pets would start at 6 or 7 Challenge Levels.
