Chapter 712: [eting at Night]

The body of the Great Dog Demon; Cerberus, made crackling noises and then let out smoke, and after a while; the golden light was divided into a pair of ten-twenty inches wide golden orbs floating in front of him.

Allen stared at the pair of golden orbs with a lancholic smile.

With a wave of his hand, the pair of golden orbs slowly descended on his stretched hands.

Plop!

The golden orbs slowly faded and when it disappeared, a pair of massive pistols with a length of 39cm and with weight of 16kg each, and a black guntal construction on both their bodies appeared on his hands. There was a cross-shaped design on each side of the two pistols, leaning vertically on its slide. The pistol's design looked as if it doesn't have a pistol slide. However, the entire upper assembly is the slide, and moves only a minimal distance compared to other guns' he knows and has, making it appear as if there is no pistol slide.

[13 mm Auto Anti-Monster: [Cerberus]—an extrely powerful Anti-Monster handgun made from the remains of the Cerberus. In each bullet, it possesses the speed and destructive ability of the true Cerberus and it can shot up to three rounds at the sa ti. This gun can also shoot poisonous bullets that poison enemies it hit, with a toxicity similar to the Cerberus poison and kill even a God if not treated imdiately.]

The {Demon Smiting} was a success, giving him another powerful weapon.

A pair of Anti-Demon Pistol similar to his Ebony and Ivory.

This will be then absorbed by Rebellion, just like any other powerful weapon he has, to strengthen Rebellion, and give her another powerful form.

“…rest in peace, old friend…”

Allen muttered as he looks at the pair of pistols in his hand.

“…and please, watch from now on. I will surely show you, that even fate can be broken.”

“…Master,”

As Allen was savoring the last mont of an old friend, suddenly a voice rang out from behind him.

It was then followed by three people’s presence appearing behind him. Allen turned around and saw Asmodeus, Amy, and Andrealphus, kneeling respectfully. Although their clothes are quite disheveled, along with their appearance, they only suffered minor injuries that were already slowly healing up.

“…is everything settled?” he asked with a gentle expression.

“Yes, Master. We have already confird the Imperial’s Army retreating…”

Andrealphus replied with a faint smile.

This was completely their victory.

For the first battle against their enemy, this victory has a more important aning to them.

Allen turned his gaze towards the destroyed city and suddenly asked; “Mammon didn't appear?”

“No. But I believe he cannot leave the Imperial City due to the war on the surface,”

Asmodeus answered Allen’s question, walking towards him.

“Then, this City…”

“Master, please be relieved. Now that the Guardian Cerberus has passed on, the Imperial’s hold on this place would be weakened and thus, we would be able to gain back control in this County! In the first place, because Prince Beelzebub’s power in the Gula had been weakened after his death, along with his son…now his Clan is not the sa as before. We would be able to steal the control of the County easily without the Guardian’s intervention!”

Amy clenched her fist and replied with a determined expression.

“… …”

“…and we will help you with that,”

Allen’s brows furrowed as he turned towards the sudden voice source, only to see a familiar face.

“Lucy Zagan,” he muttered as he saw the feathery woman, the fallen angel he had fun with a night ago.

His right brow rose upwards and his gaze turned extrely sharp.

“Greetings your Highness, I apologize for the late greetings, as I was still doubtful if you are indeed, His Highness Dante or not…”

Lucy, along with three people, two won and the familiar bartender he had seen in Charon’s ship, kneeling on the ground with their head bows in a respectful manner.

“Doubtful? So you had realized my true identity… then, what are you scheming?”

Allen’s eyes narrowed and an overbearing pressure bore down the four people, including Lucy, to the point that they started trembling all over.

This is the true Demon Prince of Change: Dante!

“We are not trying to do anything, your highness! Sir Andrealphus could vouch for us…as we were waiting for your appearance a long ti ago!”

“Mine…?”

Allen turned towards Andrealphus, seeking answers.

The latter replied with indifference; “I’m not keen on the specific details, but they are a secret organization known as the Order of Dante and have been rebelling against the new Imperial, since a long ti ago. They are quite famous as a Rebel and a Terrorist. We had so dealings with them in the past, but only superficial dealings.”

Andrealphus replied.

“Your Highness, we ant no harm…”

Lucy muttered with a faint smile, “…we only want you to restore order in the Demon World!”

“Restore Order… aren’t you the woman of the Zagan? Or what is that also a lie…?”

Allen grinned.

“That is not a lie… however, I am never a part of their family, who had cast away His Highness and cling on a shaless power. I entered the family in order to find a hiding place for myself. As well as learn every information we needed…till the day of your awakening!”

“So you are using !”

Allen said with a playful grin.

“NO!! We won’t dare!”

Lucy responded in alarm.

“We stand before you to submit to your will, your Highness Dante! If you want us dead, we will obey without hesitation!”

Lucy prostrated in the ground, with her head lowered enough to cause her forehead to touch. Behind her, the Demon Warriors and Fallen Angels that seed to be their people also kneeled in the ground.

“Please accept our reverence… Your Highness Dante!”

“The Order of Dante will be on your will!”

Lucy cried out in hysteria as she stared at him.

The seductive and flirtatious gaze she had that Allen rembered was gone, there, replaced was determination and reverence.

What is the real face of this woman…?

Allen couldn’t help but wonder.

Well, never thought an order like that would exist in this world…

However, he just shrugged his shoulders and turned around, “Amy, Andrealphus, since you’re going to fix this City, make use of them…”

Well, having another force isn't really unwelco.

Allen mused.

Since they are offering might as well take them, they might beco useful later on.

"“As you wish, master,”"

Amy and Andrealphus hurriedly nodded their heads and stood up to command their respective clans, including cleaning up the aftermath of the battle.

This will be the first step of the ascension of their master, so whether it was Amy or Andrealphus, both have serious expressions. They vowed to themselves that they will surely rebuild this county to beco their Master's foundation upon taking back his throne in the heavens.

They must build a firm and steel-like foundation, and established an army to support their Master!

They have been waiting for this all this ti—

Now that their master had returned, everything would not be the sa anymore!

They will take back all that has been deprived of them!

... ...

Allen started walking away, not having the mood to take care for the aftermath.

The death of Ceerberus was like the passing of an old friend. And although they were enemies, the beast's passing still made him sowhat lancholic. His heart and soul weary and sowhat tired. He let out a sigh. This war had been running for too long, still with no clear end.

Many people have been dragged into this, and even lives have been lost.

Thinking about this, his determination to fight sowhat refueled.

That loss, he must not be the one to have it!

No matter what happens, he cannot let his family be destroyed again!

No matter what happens, he cannot be the one burdening the loss of life!

He will protect them...even if it ant his death!

Asmodeus silently followed on her master, her expression solemn.

She seems to have so understanding of her master’s current mood and her fierce expression from the battle she had a while ago, softened. Unlike the other extremist on their family; The 72 Pillars, she shares the sa feelings with Phenex—she as well didn’t desire for her master to fight, nor aim for supremacy.

Like with Phenex, Asmodeus felt like all these battles and fights didn't suit her master at all.

The normal Allen had a more innocent expression. His usual atmosphere unlike the one he wore in battles was far different.

She and Phenex always felt that their master is too gentle.

Against Vergil, or other familiar people, he might fight, but he didn’t desire to fight to the death against them. But because of his circumstances, he was forced to take up arms.

If all of this ends…

Her lips arched into a gentle smile.

I will make sure he won’t have to fight again. No matter what—!

As Asmodeus was resolving her determination, soone also followed Allen and her—Lucy Zagan walked quietly just behind Asmodeus, causing the latter to furrow her brows, but she didn’t say anything. Not like it would an anything…

The seductress' lips curled upwards, but she didn’t dare do any rash moves and just followed them quietly.

She knows that what had happened between her and Allen that night was nothing but a mont of pleasure and whim—for him, there’s no significance. And so, she didn’t ntion it or anything as he might misunderstand her, approaching him with ill intentions—when, in fact, she just did it that night due to the sudden passion, even if he was not really the Demon Prince Dante!

She was just that drawn to him--chard by him.

However, even she confessed that Allen would never see her with a favorable impression, even if that had occurred—Lucy understands that. That is why she didn’t ntion anything about it.

Even still, as long as she could stay beside him, who says he would not look in her way?

As long as she could receive favor from him, all would be good!

Lucy Zagan smiled enchantingly as she raised her expectations of things that will co her way in the near future.

… …

“…why, I’m so honored for you to visit at night… this is quite unexpected,”

Allen who was sitting a dark dimd room, just in front of a burning fireplace, within the Andrealphus estate that had managed to avoid being affected by the battle, muttered without averting his eyes on the blazing flas.

It’s as if he was talking to himself, after all, within this room, apart from him, there was not a single soul present as even Asmodeus was outside, managing the aftermath of the battle.

Hence, Allen was resting alone in the room, or that should have been the case—with an unremarkable but adequate lighting; expressionless decor and dinnerware. He enjoyed the innocuous background music at low volu, his expression solemn and sowhat indifferent…

However, as his strange words reverberated in the entire room, a chuckle appeared just behind him.

Low, deep and masculine-

The voice answered; “Oh, and since this was our moving reunion after a very long ti, I thought you would be more than as thrilled as this, even giving a hug and cry would be acceptable…”

A silhouette materializes from the dark corner of the room as if it was darkness itself materializing.

“If you want a more moving reunion…”

Allen turned his head and his lips curled upwards, “…next ti, visit properly, in your own real person…Vergil,”

“Hahaha, I knew you would notice it imdiately,”

Tap!Tap!Tap!

With the sounds of footsteps ringing within the room, the dark silhouette walks out from the dark and towards where Allen was sitting.

It was a lanky young man.

Short black leather coat, wrinkled olive-green chinos, brown long boots. Hair fairly long and tangled in places- perhaps he has had no chance to wash it in so days, perhaps he has just crawled out of the underbrush sowhere, or perhaps he just finds it more natural and comfortable to have ssy hair. Still, it gives him a sowhat wild look, boosting his charm higher.

He looks extrely handso with a dark-skinned tone.

Facial features were perfect, devilish, and sowhat pleasant horrifying to look at. This should be the literal aning of a ‘Looks that could stop children from crying and make won, old and young bewitched,’ kind of face.

A typical bewitching devil straight out from fantasy legends co to life.

Looking closely, although there’s a large difference, you can still see sowhat a resemblance from Allen, a dimd shadow so to speak.

The eye colors might be different as Vergil has purple demonic eyes in contrast with Allen’s ruby-colored draconic eyes. However, it was not purpled all over his eyeballs just like that of the Knights of Hell, but only his pupils were purple as if he was still a human despite being a Demon.

So of his human traits seed to have remained the sa.

However, when he would trigger demonic change, his eyes would be dyed in golden. They should have shared the sa eye colors but due to mutation of Allen’s eye powers, his had beco different compared to that of Vergil’s.

Stopping just before where Allen was sitting, Vergil cocks his head and studies his brother’s face, after a long ti of separation.

He is trying to rember sothing, and much ti goes by until he gets it.

He seems like the type for whom everything takes ti.

Allen who was ignoring his presence due to it being harmless, as Vergil was nothing but a Spiritual Projection, and would not be able to do anything—and probably ca just to see him and talk, or sothing like that. And his interest disappeared.

But Vergil turned silent, frowning he raises his face from the fireplace.

Allen narrows his eyes and looks at the man standing in front of him.

He is so tall, he seems to be looking far overhead, no, looking down at him like an adult to a teenager.

Their eyes et.

The Great Demon Prince smiles.

His smile is ant to show he ans no harm.

But Allen felt displeased.

“What do you want?”

He muttered, displeased from being observed head to toe by such eyes.

The eyes of his only true relative, and now the worst enemy.

“If you want to say sothing, say it… but if you are expecting a warm welco from , then you won’t get it. I’m not fond of welcoming a ghost…”

“Oh so cold, so cold… it’s been a very long ti since we had t and yet you are always so cold to , your only true brother in this whole wide world…I’m hurt,”

Vergil said with a pretended look of pain but his gaze remained indifferent. Then, with an amused smile, a chair appeared behind him and he slowly sat down. Then, he grabbed the other wine glass from the table. nonchalantly poured wine on it and drank without care.

“Well, seeing you set up a pair of wine glass already, I guess you’re expecting my arrival… as expected of my brother, great minds think alike,”

Vergil muttered as he slled the wine and then took another sip.

“You really have a good taste for wine, I wished you have shared that ability with ,”

Allen snorted with an indifferent expression; “…a man like you has no desire for any pleasure other than power and murder, what is there to desire such materialistic pleasures,”

“…That's biased, my dear brother. You see, after regaining a bit of my human mories, humanistic desires started to swell up within as well—that includes, good wine and food,”

“…liar…”

Allen picked up his glass and took a sip.

“You, who dislike humanity, will never choose to beco human again, even if we say you are heavily influenced by the mories of Solomon. A tiger will never change its stripes, no matter what color dyed it.”

He chortled, with clear sarcasm on his voice.

“…so what brings you here, Vergil? Did you co here to convince , talk to , or… warn about sothing? And for the record, although I felt so premonitions of your visit, that wine glass is not prepared for you—for a woman, of course. I’m not fond of sharing a drink alone in a dark room with a man, even if it’s my own brother.”

“…hoes before bros, what a cruel man you have beco. Well, I’m just here to take a breather… and of course, to see the brother I have long been waiting for…” he said.

“I had missed you dearly.”

He looked about Allen with pleasure.

“… …”

Allen did not answer.

He looks at Vergil with eyes that could be looking at an overgrown bush in the corner of a garden.

“I don’t want to hear that from you…”

Finally, he said.
