It’s an ordinary early morning when all the workers start getting ready to start the day.

The rchants in the traditional market have set up their wares and the fishern have returned ho from a night of fishing.

One of the fishern was a young man who was still in high school.

Although he is still a student, his current economic situation does not give him much choice between work-school situation.

After preparing the fish to be delivered to the market, the young man went straight to his boss that also the owner of the boat.

Nabil, a young man with a stature like Indonesian youth in general, brown skin and black hair.

His body was not too skinny, but at the sa ti, not too muscular either.

After staying up all night catching fish, of course he expected to be rewarded appropriately.

"Wait a minute, only 10,000 rupiah?" Nabil asked while looking at a piece of shabby, purplish-red colored money.

It was not worth staying up all night to catch fish.

With that amount, he could only buy a bowl of atballs if he was lucky, or at least two packs of indomie and an egg.

"Huh?! What are you talking about, that’s already a lot," said the big man sitting on the boat while drinking a mug of hot coffee.

"But it’s not enough, it should be more than this," argued Nabil, raising his tone of voice because of the injustice he was experiencing.

The big man stood up and lifted Nabil’s shirt collar. "Listen to , boy, your father owes a lot, you should be grateful I’m still willing to accept you. People who don’t have skills like you don’t deserve to complain."

Nabil wanted to argue, but what his boss said was the truth. He could only surrender and accept the 10,000 rupiah as his paynt for his hard work.

He could only sigh and hurried ho using a simple old bicycle.

Arriving ho, he was greeted by his mother’s sincere smile.

"Nabil, the ti is right, let’s eat together," said his mother who suddenly pulled Nabil into the dining room.

When he arrived at the dining room, Nabil saw a neat table with several plates and bowls that had been arranged on the table like a luxurious banquet...

Unfortunately, the plates and bowls were empty. There was nothing but air.

Nabil’s mother imdiately rushed to one of the chairs and held the back of the chair.

"Look, your sister will be leaving for college soon. Your father is not ho yet, but the three of us can eat now," Nabil’s mother said with a big smile on her face.

But Nabil’s gaze only showed sadness because he knew that only he and his mother were in that room.

The person Nabil’s mother was referring to was his older sister who was the pride of that humble family.

An outstanding student who majored in dical major.

His sister received a scholarship for her academic achievent and all of her education costs had been covered by that.

If there were no obstacles, his older sister should have beco a doctor in one of the big hospitals in the city....

That what was supposed to be of course....

It’s been two months since the accident....

His sister was hit by a car driver who was driving recklessly.

Under normal circumstances, the driver should have been severely punished, but the driver was a family of governnt people.

They have enough connections and money to handle such matters.

In the end....

The case only resulted in a few weeks’ imprisonnt for the driver and without the need for covering the dical bill at all.

After two weeks, Nabil’s sister died in the hospital.

Nabil’s parents went into a lot of debt to pay for the surgery and treatnt of their beloved daughter, which ended in vain.

Nabil’s mother is deeply traumatized because she can’t accept reality and Nabil’s father can no longer work due to severe depression and only spends his days gambling and getting drunk.

And now, Nabil is the only one keeping his family together.

Nabil wanted to lant his fate but he had no ti to be sad as he had to rush to school.

After staying up all night catching fish, dayti sleepiness was a common occurrence.

And that’s what he did during class ti....

Falling asleep during class....

It wasn’t the first ti Nabil had spent the day sleeping in class, and the teachers were tired of reprimanding him.

After all, a student with below-average academic ability like Nabil would never be able to go to college anyway, and whether or not he graduated would not have a big impact on his future.

After 12 noon, the teachers suddenly called a eting. Not wanting to waste his ti, Nabil imdiately skipped class and went ho.

When he got ho, he was greeted by his father who looked drunk and upset.

"Where’s the money you earned from your work last night?" asked Nabil’s father, holding an empty bottle of liquor.

"I saved it, if you had it, it would have been used for -."

*Prak!

Nabil’s father imdiately hit Nabil’s head with the empty bottle and made the poor young man lie on the floor.

Nabil held his dizzy head and realized that it was bleeding.

Nabil’s father approached. "You don’t understand anything! If I can win this ti, our debt will be paid off. I need that money now!"

Nabil wanted to argue but seeing his father’s drunken state, fighting back might be a bad idea.

Although reluctantly, Nabil gave the money he had earned from working all night.

When he saw it’s only ten thousand rupiah, Nabil’s father imdiately raised his voice. "Where’s the rest of it?! Why only this much?"

"That’s all that was given," Nabil replied frantically.

Nabil’s father beca even angrier and hit Nabil on the head with the empty bottle he was holding. "Don’t lie! You disobedient brat! Instead of helping the family, you use it for your own pleasure!"

Nabil could only curl up and try to protect his head which was hit by his father many tis....

In such a precarious position, many questions suddenly filled Nabil’s head.

Why?

Why did this happen?

What makes my fate different from other people’s?

Is being poor wrong?

Is not having abilities wrong?

Is it wrong to be stupid?

Why is my life like this?

I don’t want to live like this....

I don’t accept living like this....

I want my fate to change....

I want the power to change my destiny....

I want power...

I want power!
