Following Ethan Blackwood were several people dressed similarly in black. When he appeared, everything around seed to fade away, leaving only his figure in view.

For the first ti, Claire Shaw understood the embodint of standing out from the crowd.

Apart from his face, there was a unique aura about him that isolated him from the crowd, making everyone else seem like his backdrop.

His sharp gaze searched the crowd until it landed on Claire Shaw, like spilled glue, unable to move away.

The unsmiling man’s lips subtly curled up as he walked toward her.

As he approached her side, Claire Shaw greeted respectfully yet distantly, "Mr. Blackwood, I..."

The man wrapped his long arm around her, pulling her over forcefully and dominantly, leaving her no room to refuse.

Claire Shaw, wearing high heels, stumbled into the man’s embrace, her arm unconsciously clutching his tie and her other hand grabbing his shirt to steady herself.

Ethan Blackwood was indifferent to the envious gazes falling on the two of them as he took Claire Shaw away.

Claire Shaw was a bit bewildered; given what she said, was he not the least bit angry? Or even curious?

Yet she was abruptly and confusedly taken into his car.

The mont the car door closed, Claire Shaw’s body was pressed against the seat as the man gripped her chin and kissed her unceremoniously.

Amidst the closeness, his voice was tenderly hoarse: "Ms. Shaw, I’m in a hurry too."

His kisses were urgent and passionate, like a roaring fire threatening to consu Claire Shaw.

Claire Shaw suddenly recalled that phone call at noon—did he misunderstand sothing? This could be awkward.

"President Blackwood, I am in a hurry, but not..." she tried to explain.

The man’s rough thumb caressed her cheek’s soft skin, breathing heavily as he murmured on her lips: "Not in a hurry to sleep with ? Hmm?"

Claire Shaw hesitated on how to communicate this matter with him, sensing the change in the man’s body, even his breath falling on her neck carried a burning heat.

His mood was stable, but Claire Shaw was unsure if, after dousing the passion, Ethan Blackwood would still agree to her request.

They had been so intimate, yet only now did Claire Shaw realize she had never truly seen through him.

He was so powerful yet mysterious.

As she hesitated, Ethan Blackwood slowly and leisurely brushed against her tender skin, not hurried about the next step.

He was a hunter with exceptional patience.

Claire Shaw raised her gaze to et his, willingly wrapping her arms around his neck, her voice soft and comforting, "I want it."

She was a straightforward person; once she made any decision, she wouldn’t be coy about it.

She nestled against Ethan Blackwood’s body, rubbing like a cat in his embrace, her way of showing affection.

Then in a soft voice by his ear, she whispered, "Mr. Blackwood, I regret it."

"Oh?"

The man lowered his gaze slowly, silently observing the woman beneath him—just last night, she had coldly claid there was nothing between them.

His thumb caressed her soft lips—how could such a tender place utter such cold words?

As they entered the car, the man was so eager for her; yet after her pause, he tempered his passion, leaving only placidity and calm in his dark eyes.

This strong self-control made Claire Shaw even more apprehensive; could she succeed?

Claire Shaw took a deep breath, her voice quivering: "I want to sleep with you."
