The surprise turned into a fright.
Claire Shaw was about to go crazy. Ethan Blackwood only ntioned he’d have matters to deal with later, he didn’t say anyone would be visiting!
Claire Shaw was deeply regretting now.
She shouldn’t have bought that sexy swimsuit in the first place. If she hadn’t, she wouldn’t have secretly climbed through the window. If she hadn’t sneaked in, today wouldn’t have turned into such a blunder.
Mortified!
What to do, dear heavens, let her dig a hole with her toes and crawl into it.
She absolutely couldn’t face anyone; she was buried in Ethan Blackwood’s embrace and refused to co out.
No matter that she knew it was terribly rude, courtesy ant nothing in the face of embarrassnt!
Ethan Blackwood was sowhat helpless, watching the woman clinging tightly to his waist buried in his arms, "Aren’t you afraid of suffocating?"
Claire Shaw’s muffled voice ca through: "Better suffocate than die of laughter."
Others wanted to offer comfort but feared speaking would make Claire Shaw even more embarrassed.
Ethan Blackwood had originally intended to introduce her to his friends, but now Claire Shaw might never want to et his friends for the rest of her life.
"Why don’t you go back to my room and rest for a while?"
"No, no need!"
Claire Shaw replied in a muffled voice: "Just take to the door, I won’t disturb you anymore."
"Shall I co see you later?"
"Better not!"
As soon as Claire Shaw heard the door open, she quickly retreated and shut the door behind her.
At the mont the door closed, she seed to hear the sound of n’s laughter from inside.
"Hahaha..."
Ah, she was mortified beyond belief.
Claire Shaw was dying from embarrassnt, maybe she should find out where they sell Elixir of Oblivion and pour them out to every person present.
Panicking, Claire Shaw rushed out without realizing she was running in the wrong direction.
She collided with a person at the corner, "Sorry!"
This embarrassnt compounded her already challenging life situation, Claire Shaw quickly backed away from the man’s embrace.
Locking eyes, Owen Crawford was full of surprise, "Claire, what are you doing here?"
Talk about out of the frying pan, into the fire! Escaping one den only to fall into another!
"What does it have to do with you?" Claire Shaw was ready to leave.
Owen Crawford grabbed her hand, "Claire, let’s talk, you..."
Claire Shaw was disheveled when she rushed out, and when Owen Crawford pulled her hand, her cover slipped revealing much of what’s beneath.
Though not entirely visible, Owen Crawford wasn’t oblivious; he knew she was wearing one of those sexy swimsuits.
With Claire Shaw’s conservative personality, how could she wear such a thing?
Only one reason—she was wearing it for another man.
The thought that he had never even kissed her during their years together, and now post-breakup she was dressing provocatively for another, made him furious. After all, she’d claid to be indifferent to romance!
"Who are you dressed like this for?"
Claire Shaw withdrew her hand from his grip, "My man, none of your business."
"Claire Shaw, you’re just being cheap, you..."
"Slap!" Claire Shaw tied her belt, blocking all views, and slapped Owen Crawford.
"Owen Crawford, you know very well what you did to make agree to our relationship back then. I’m warning you, whether you want to be happy with Stella Sutton or not is your business. Leave out of it!"
Claire Shaw had always been calm toward Owen Crawford, but today there was a playful blush on her face making her seem even more alluring.
The thought of her dressed like this under another man made Owen Crawford furious.
"So, you’re still cozying up to another man, with your salary, could you afford a two-grand-per-night sea view suite?"
Seeing this man’s ugly face made Claire Shaw regret wasting so many years on him.
"What, are you jealous? I’d never cozy up to trash like you even if you begged. My man is different; you’re not worthy to even be compared to him."
Claire Shaw turned to leave. As she passed the corner, she seed to hear a familiar female voice calling from behind: "Mr. Crawford, co quickly, I’ve been waiting forever."
Claire Shaw hesitated; the voice sounded sowhat like Yasmin Yorke.
No way, right? Even if Owen Crawford was ssing around, could he possibly stoop to Yasmin Yorke’s level?
Claire Shaw wasn’t that curious; she quickly returned to her room.
The first thing she did was ssage Ethan Blackwood, saying she was going to sleep and not to co see her.
Secretly, Claire Shaw wished she could buy a ticket to Mars, hide for ten years and then co back.
Mia Hughes returned at midnight; Claire Shaw was a light sleeper and felt her quietly closing the door, turning over and falling back asleep.
The next morning.
The refreshing sea breeze blew away Claire Shaw’s sleepiness, and not just hers; even Mia Hughes had an awkward deanor as if from last night’s activities.
Claire Shaw saw the clearly visible hickey on Mia Hughes’ neck and guessed as much.
In the still of the night, when passion sparks, what happens between n and won is normal. How far have the two progressed?
Claire Shaw didn’t see Ethan Blackwood at breakfast or lunch; had he gone on another business trip?
Noticing her concerns, Sean Jacobs said: "Ms. Shaw, let’s go snorkeling; Ethan is already there."
His words seed to hint at sothing, could it be he arranged a marriage proposal?
If Ethan Blackwood did this, Claire Shaw was truly looking forward to it.
Would it be a seaside full of roses or a drone confession in the sky?
In the dayti, wouldn’t the effect of drones be less impressive?
Or perhaps the classic scene of a CEO scattering petals from a helicopter.
When it involved Ethan Blackwood, Claire Shaw always let her imagination run wild.
She took a tourist car to the private beach, expecting a big surprise, but upon arrival, there was nothing.
The sand was clean, and the sea was crystal clear.
If she hadn’t been expecting a declaration of love, she might have thought this place was beautifully unreal.
But after all that anticipation, there was nothing—just Ethan Blackwood in a diving suit, leaving Claire’s heart a bit disappointed.
Upon eting, she even forgot last night’s embarrassnt.
Ethan Blackwood thoughtfully avoided ntioning last night’s incident, "Co here, I’ll teach you so snorkeling precautions."
Although Claire Shaw had learned before, it was only to cope with Miranda Shaw’s certificate demands. So much ti had passed; she was quite rusty.
She suppressed her disappointnt and patiently listened to Ethan Blackwood explain everything.
His voice was deep and magnetic.
Seeing her a bit distracted, he asked again, "Do you rember all the ergency signals?"
"Yes."
Claire Shaw knew he was not frivolous; maybe not today, but soday. Why was she worried?
He belonged to her; it’s just a matter of ceremony.
Before diving, he patted Claire Shaw’s hand, "Don’t worry, I’m here."
"Mm."
Diving into the sea, initially Claire Shaw felt a bit uncomfortable, with her lungs hurting.
Ethan Blackwood patiently guided her to practice at a few ters down.
Once she was used to it, they gradually dove deeper.
Sean Jacobs was right; the sea here was clear and clean, with excellent light transmission.
She could distinctly see beams of light falling into the sea, schools of fish freely darting.
Gradually, Claire Shaw forgot all troubles, and her heart was healed by the sea.
Following a sea turtle, she swam slowly, occasionally touching the Cyralia.
Upon seeing Ethan Blackwood’s signal, Claire Shaw dove even deeper.
This sea area was close to the coastline; the water wasn’t too deep, allowing her to reach the bottom.
At the seabed, there were sea urchins and starfish; Claire Shaw playfully swam ahead.
The next mont, seeing the stunning underwater scene, she was completely stunned.
How, how could...
Ethan Blackwood had planted a sea of roses under the sea for her!!!
