Chapter 368: Chapter 342 Ah Xing

Hearing this, Fu Yisi’s eyes suddenly changed. His originally deep and cold eyes were now filled with fervor and brightness.

Secretary Cai suddenly looked towards Fu Yisi.

Could it be that this Ah Xing is the person that this gentleman is looking for?

Secretary Cai suddenly felt sowhat panicked. If the identity of the person in front of him was no ordinary one, then that Ah Xing must not be an ordinary character either.

“Continue,” said Fu Yisi, his voice slightly tense.

What Secretary Cai had just ntioned had already basically confird that his aunt had indeed been here and lived for many years.

Secretary Cai took a big gulp of water, the hand resting on his knee trembling, clutching so tightly that the fabric of his trousers wrinkled.

“A few years ago, a woman nad Ah Xing fell ill. At that ti, the small clinic in town was very shabby, and a man took her to Aunt Li’s house to take care of her for a day.”

“The man was in town to recuperate and stayed at Aunt Li’s house. I don’t know what his exact na was. I heard them say that after Ah Xing recovered, she stayed at ho and wouldn’t co out, and that man would visit her every day.”

“A few days later, Ah Xing left with that man.”

Since Ah Xing was not originally from the town, they would not interfere in these matters. Moreover, people in the town at that ti had sowhat feudal thinking; they always felt that the residence had bad feng shui and that those who lived there were all neurotic, and they were more than happy for her to leave.

Fu Yisi’s expression darkened.

“So, that ans she’s no longer in the town.”

Secretary Cai shook his head.

“She’s not here anymore. That house has been empty for many years, no one has gone there, nor has anyone lived there.”

“Who was that man?”

Secretary Cai shook his head again.

“I’m not too sure, but we can go ask Aunt Li. Her family still runs a short-term rental business.”

Fu Yisi did not speak, causing Secretary Cai to feel sowhat uneasy, unable to withstand Fu Yisi’s cold aura.

“Let’s go to Aunt Li’s house. Please lead the way, Secretary.”

Secretary Cai imdiately nodded his head several tis.

Without dawdling, they quickly left the Town Hall. Secretary Cai even put aside his own injured affairs and personally guided Fu Yisi and the others to Aunt Li’s house.

This aroused the curiosity of those working in the governnt about the identity of these three individuals.

When they arrived at Aunt Li’s house, she was busy; she first saw Secretary Cai and wiped her hands.

“Oh, Secretary, what brings you here? Is there sothing you need?”

While asking, she looked towards the three people behind the secretary, her gaze pausing for several seconds when she landed on Fu Yisi.

“Aunt Li, there indeed is sothing. Could you spare so ti for us?”

Aunt Li shifted her gaze away and nodded.

“Of course.”

She led them to a small tea room nearby and brewed a pot of tea. The place was small but spotless.

Sitting down, Aunt Li, though curious about Fu Yisi’s identity, did not offend him by asking directly.

“Secretary Cai, what brings you here today?”

Secretary Cai first glanced at Fu Yisi, then stated his purpose for the visit.

“Aunt Li, do you rember Ah Xing?”

“Ah Xing…”

Aunt Li softly repeated the na, a puzzled look in her eyes as she gazed at Secretary Cai.

Encouraged by Secretary Cai’s gaze, she nodded.

“I rember.”

“A few years ago, a tenant ca here and brought the unconscious Ah Xing with him, do you rember?”

Though it was a distant mory, it concerned Ah Xing, and given the man’s outstanding deanor at that ti, Aunt Li always rembered.

At the mont Aunt Li nodded, Fu Yisi’s eyes narrowed slightly.
