Chapter 301: Chapter 275: Is He Really That Old?

Fu Yisi had not originally planned to attend this press conference. The police could simply clarify the progress of the case; as a forr Forensic Doctor, at most he would only explain so suspicious findings on the body.

These could be fully explained by Captain Lei.

However, today he had just arrived at the hospital when he received a call, insisting he must attend this press conference.

So he ca to go through the motions.

He didn’t expect to see Ji Sang here.

“Weren’t you just going to stop by the TV station? Why did you take on more work?”

Ji Sang briefly explained.

“What about you?”

She hadn’t heard Fu Yisi ntion coming to the police station to attend the press conference last night.

Fu Yisi smiled a little.

“? Forced over by soone.”

“Forced?”

Ji Sang looked at the man sowhat incredulously.

“Who dares to force you.”

Yet Fu Yisi simply rubbed her head and agreed with a sound.

“Besides, did the station only send you?”

When he had first walked in, he had looked around and hadn’t seen anyone helping Ji Sang. With so much equipnt here, did the TV station really just let her handle it alone?

“Not exactly, so photographers will co later…”

Ji Sang paused, still not ntioning Zhao Qing.

But it was enough for the perceptive Fu Yisi to notice. He gently pinched Ji Sang’s hand.

“Not telling the truth.”

Ji Sang: ….

She was beginning to seriously doubt whether Fu Yisi had ever taken a course on micro-expressions; how could he detect even this?

Sowhat bemused.

“Alright, indeed they assigned an assistant, but I don’t like him,

so I sent him away.”

Ji Sang usually only expresses her feelings to people she likes and would never speak ill of soone she doesn’t like behind their back. It seems then that the so-called assistant must have done sothing to upset her.

The press conference was scheduled tightly, starting at one-thirty, and there was still so ti left from the TV station.

Fu Yisi furrowed his brows.

“Have you eaten?”

Before Ji Sang could reply, the man already had an answer in his mind.

“Co on, I’ll take you to eat nearby.”

Ji Sang hesitated for a mont.

“These things…”

The man smiled briefly.

“This is the police station.”

Besides, there are surveillance caras set up inside the hall; who would dare to be presumptuous in a police station?

Ji Sang then followed Fu Yisi out with confidence.

With only half an hour left, they had to finish lunch in twenty minutes.

There was no ti to look for a distant restaurant.

The two found a small shop near the police station.

Although the shop was small, it was rather clean, but for Fu Yisi, this was already at the limit of his tolerance.

Ji Sang observed the man’s expression carefully, sowhat concerned.

“Is it okay?”

She knew that Fu Yisi was sowhat of a clean freak.

Ji Sang and Su Ge had visited various alleyway delicacies in S city during their college days, so her tolerance for environnts was much higher than Fu Yisi’s.

The man, maintaining a poker face, took a napkin from the table and thoroughly wiped the chair several tis before allowing Ji Sang to sit down.

Even though he didn’t show distaste, Ji Sang knew him well; once his face beca tense and his lips slightly pursed, it was a sign of dissatisfaction.

Ji Sang sat down then stood up again.

“Let’s go sowhere else.”

Fu Yisi was still earnestly wiping his seat when he heard Ji Sang’s words and looked up at her with a coaxing tone.

“Be good, we don’t have enough ti, just endure it a little longer.”

Ji Sang found it sowhat amusing.

Who exactly is the one enduring here?

Of course, she also understood that Fu Yisi said this just to keep her from worrying.

“Or… let’s not eat? It’s just half an hour until the press release is over, we can go eat afterward?”

As she said it, Ji Sang also felt it was feasible. She wasn’t very hungry now and could endure a little longer.

She knew that soone with a cleanliness obsession would feel uncomfortable seeing what they deem unclean, let alone having to eat in such a place.

Having finished wiping the chair, Fu Yisi stood up, wiped his hands again, and then gently placed them on Ji Sang’s shoulders to press her into sitting down.

“The usual ti for a al has passed already, if you don’t eat now, your stomach will start to protest.”

It had taken him several months to get her stomach in slightly better condition.

After saying this, Fu Yisi sat down next to Ji Sang without a change in his expression.

Their dilemma and persuasion had taken so much ti that the food they ordered was already prepared. The landlady carried the bowl of soup noodles over with a smile on her face as she looked at the two of them.

“This is the pickled radish beef brisket noodle soup.”

It was what Ji Sang had ordered.

The landlady placed it in front of Ji Sang.

This restaurant serves generous portions, and such a large bowl almost filled to the brim with soup.

Fu Yisi placed a hand protectively in front of Ji Sang’s chest.

The landlady saw this and chuckled,

“Young man, don’t worry, I won’t hurt your girlfriend.”

They had been in the catering service for so many years; if they couldn’t even serve food properly, they should just pack up and leave.

However, Fu Yisi only moved his hand away after the landlady put down the bowl.

“She’s my wife.”

The man corrected leisurely.

The landlady was startled for a mont, then quickly reacted, her gaze shifting back and forth between their faces.

“So you’re already married. My goodness, this lady looked so young, I thought she was only eighteen.”

Ji Sang was initially a bit shy, but she couldn’t help laughing at the landlady’s words.

If she wasn’t wrong… Fu Yisi wouldn’t be pleased hearing this.

Indeed, the man’s brow furrowed slightly.

What does she an by saying this lady looks too young, like she’s only eighteen? Does that make him look very old?

Fu Yisi was already four years older than Ji Sang, and Ji Sang’s youthful appearance was of a type that tended to look even younger; to a certain extent, he did care about it sowhat.

Right now, after the landlady’s comnt, the man naturally started thinking about age.

Both of them already had an extraordinary deanor, and walking into this small shop only made them stand out more. The landlady, sharp-eyed and aware that the two probably had so status, was especially careful.

But it seed that her complints made the young lady happy, but why did the young man frown?

Generally speaking, n are happy to hear praises about their wives.

It’s puzzling, really puzzling.

The landlady sighed to herself and turned to go to the kitchen to retrieve Fu Yisi’s bowl of noodles.

Fu Yisi didn’t speak; instead, he wiped a pair of chopsticks three tis from top to bottom with a napkin before handing them to Ji Sang.

Ji Sang took them and placed them on the rim of the bowl but did not move. She gently nudged Fu Yisi’s arm with her elbow.

“Hey, are you unhappy?”

The man paused in wiping another pair of chopsticks and didn’t look at Ji Sang.

“Why would I be unhappy?”

Ji Sang suppressed a smile and coughed lightly.

“The landlady said I was only eighteen.”

Fu Yisi turned to look at Ji Sang and raised an eyebrow.

“And?”

Ji Sang’s eyes flickered as she felt the urge to tease Fu Yisi.

“I’m eighteen, you’re twenty-eight, ten years older than . If we go by seniority, soone ten years older could be considered my uncle.”
