Ivy’s improvent in health was a matter of great joy, and the group couldn’t stop smiling, especially Ivy, who was slowly starting to feel herself again. Her voice was back. Now, all that remained was to gain movent in her legs, and she would be herself.

"Is there anything we should look out for, Doctor?" Ian questioned, taking note of the important details to be considered.

"Nothing significant. Have you booked for the physiotherapy sessions?"

"Yes, Doctor. The sessions will start from the day after tomorrow," Aria replied.

"Great. Just make sure not to over-exert yourself, Ivy. You want to get back on your feet, not collapse and hurt yourself in the process. Take it easy and slow," the doctor advised and Ivy nodded.

"I will, Doctor. Thank you so much." It felt incredible to have her voice back. So, she didn’t stop speaking, making up for all the days she had beco mute.

"Focus on your diet and don’t compromise on your sleep."

"I will, Doctor. With two doctors in the house, I doubt I can have my way when it cos to my health." Ivy let out a helpless sigh and the doctor chuckled softly before leaving the ward.

"Do you want to go ho or stay here for the night, Ivy?" Aria gave her the choice.

"I want to go ho, please." Ivy wasn’t a fan of hospitals. It suffocated her, making her feel as if she was terribly sick while her freedom was restrained.

"Not a problem. You may leave right away," Ian didn’t have any problem with it and neither did Aria. Ivy wasn’t sick. So, there wasn’t a need for her to remain at the hospital for the night.

"Before I forget, I got you a new phone." Aria handed the new phone she had bought on her way ho and Ivy’s eyes lit up as she took it.

She couldn’t live without a cell phone. Ivy realized after she was forced to stay without one for a few days. Her life was a ss without it. Now that she had one, she couldn’t stop herself from syncing her information imdiately.

"Well, I understood where I stand in Ivy’s life," Aria comnted as if she was heartbroken at being ignored by her sister.

Ivy gave a deaf ear to her words and focused on her new phone, examining all the features while she waited for the information to sync.

"It looks like Ivy is going to be occupied for so ti. Why don’t we leave? It’s ti for dinner already," Oliver suggested and the group got walking.

This ti, Ivy didn’t object when Joshua lifted her and how the man wished to hold her in his arms all the way ho. But he knew the consequences of doing so.

Ivy might be busy with her phone. But that didn’t an she wasn’t aware of what was happening to her. If he did what his heart was saying, Joshua was damn sure he would be in for a hearing. Ivy wouldn’t let him go.

So, reluctantly, he placed her in the wheelchair and pushed it gently as he followed the others. While Ivy’s focus was all on the phone, Joshua’s gaze was fixed on Ivy until they reached the car.

Joshua once again didn’t dare join her in the car. Instead, he followed them back ho in his own vehicle, silently plotting his next course of action.

When they reached ho, it was past dinner ti. Everyone was in high spirits as they sat at the dining table, happily wolfing down the food Oliver had prepared.

"Noah..." Oliver paused and looked up, gaining everyone’s attention to him. "I have done what you wanted. The news must be out by now."

"What news, Dad?" Ivy was the first the butt in. Since she had been away from work for quite so ti, she wanted to stay updated as soon as possible. Her journalist mind was dying to do sothing and she had just gained that opportunity.

"Let’s just say we’re trying to track an absconded criminal," Oliver replied mysteriously and winked at her and Ivy gave him an incredulous look as she pulled out her phone to check the news.

"Are you talking about this Stevenson guy?" Ivy queried once she found the news update. The world was going bonkers with the revelation. Who knew that he too was involved with Jared in all cris?

Although Stevenson wasn’t as rich as the Carters or the Martins, he had a fair standing in society. So, his involvent in brutal cris was a strong punch to the nation. Even Ivy was perturbed for a mont.

"Yeah. Fortunately, we have Deputy and Major yers tracking down the explosives. Otherwise, we would have been in a fix." Oliver sighed, returning to his food and Ivy tilted her head, her brows contorting in confusion.

"What explosives?" she enquired, not having any idea as to what they were talking about.

"Well..." Oliver hesitated before disclosing the information about the bombs as well as how Ethan was helping them to detonate them.

"Such a thing happened?" Ivy’s eyes widened in shock and she looked at everyone speechlessly. "I should get back to work as soon as possible. I’m missing out on a lot of things." Her words were directed at Aria. But her pleading was ignored and disregarded as Aria didn’t even look at her, making her stance clear.

"Aria..." she started, hoping to lt her sister’s heart and gain so leeway.

"If soone doesn’t want to stay away from work for a week, I don’t mind extending their vacation for another few days," she mumbled loud enough for her sister to hear. Ivy went silent imdiately while her eyes started protesting.

"They can either choose the upcoming Monday or the one two weeks later," Aria suggested as if she was giving them a choice when it was anything but that and Ivy stopped protesting and returned to her food.

Ivy couldn’t win against her sister. If she persisted and continued to object, she would be at a disadvantage. Aria would force her to stay at ho for a few more days. Swallowing all her complaints, she focused on the food instead. Arguing with her sister wasn’t worth it considering her job was at stake.
