Noah and Ian were stunned to find Aria standing behind them, and they were rendered tongue-tied for a mont. They glanced at each other warily before returning their gaze to Aria.
"Aria, we wanted to ask you sothing," Ian started, taking this chance to clarify his doubts.
Aria folded her hands as she waited for him to continue.
"Aren’t you angry with Joshua? After all, you know..." Ian couldn’t bring himself to speak more. It was a sore spot for her, and he had only ripped open the bandage to the wound that was yet to heal.
"Will it do any good if I’m angry with Joshua?" Aria smiled wryly while her eyes held nothing but pain. "Will it change the fact that Ivy was hurt, and it was the person she loved and wanted to marry that hurt her?"
"But..."
"My sister was hurt physically and emotionally. Physical wounds will heal. But the scars to her heart won’t, and Joshua’s actions hurt her heart. Let’s not bring up what Jared did to Ivy. He’d have co up with another plan to strike at us if this was unsuccessful. Joshua’s actions just quickened the process."
"Ian, I’ve left it for Ivy to decide. But for , Joshua is just a man I stopped caring about. He’s just a stranger now."
"Don’t you hate him?" Noah asked all of a sudden, and Aria smiled softly at him.
"Hate is a very strong emotion, Noah, and I do not want to waste my ti hating unnecessary people. I have other matters to handle, and the one in the forefront is to bring Jared to Ivy so that she can kill him." Aria’s expression turned dark as she glared hard into space.
"I’m going to make sure that he’ll not have an intact body after Ivy is done avenging herself."
"Aria..."
The sheer amount of hatred in her tone surprised and worried the two n, and they looked at her in concern.
"Jared is in Morocco. Spread the news that Ivy is awake. Since his plan to kill her failed, he’ll co back to complete it." Aria didn’t just tell them, she ordered them, and the tone she used surprised them.
"Aria, Jared is in Vietnam," Noah gave her an incredulous look.
"No, he isn’t. Your update is outdated. He’s in Morocco, and he’ll be seeking asylum in Malta two days later."
Aria’s words flummoxed the two n, and they stared at her in disbelief.
"How did you know?" Noah mumbled. He was unable to bring himself to accept the changed Aria. Although he was not disheartened by her change, it was the circumstances that led her to it that distressed him. Moreover, she was filled with nothing but abhorrence and killing intent, and those two emotions were deadly when a person was not thinking right.
"I have my sources." Aria smirked, and Noah and Ian understood imdiately who she was referring to.
Maggie. It had to be her. Who else other than her had such amazing abilities? Joshua did. But currently, he was occupied, and there was no way in hell Aria would have sought him out for help.
"Aria, what are you planning?" Noah was scared, for Aria and for what she intended to do. He had no idea that behind his back she was plotting against Jared. For the second ti in his life, he was terrified.
"Just revenge."
"Aria, you’re scaring ."
"Put up with it, Noah. I’m going to be like this until Jared is dead." Aria’s eyes were cold and emotionless, and it was then the two n realized how sinister she could be. Her sister’s incident had provoked the bloodthirsty beast in her, and they knew there was no stopping her now.
"Aria, let us help you. Okay? Don’t put yourself in danger," Ian stated, but Aria shook her head in denial.
"No, Ian. I’m not going to listen to you on this. I’m done hiding behind your backs. Jared will now see what’ll happen for provoking . Yes, I’ll be happy if you help . But do not ask to abstain from carrying out my plan. Nothing you say or do will stop ."
Aria declared, and the two n had nothing to say. What could they even say? Her words were filled with resolve. If they were to prohibit her from doing anything, it’d only piss her off, and that was the last thing they wanted.
"Fine. But you’ll tell before you do anything." When he did not get any response from her, he continued, "Please, Aria. I’m worried about you. I just want you to be safe."
Aria finally relented when he put it that way, and Noah sighed in relief.
"Have you planned sothing, or are you yet to think of sothing?"
Aria smiled mysteriously, and Noah quirked his brows in wonder. Even Ian was stunned, and he felt as if it was the first ti he was knowing his friend.
"Jared is now a wanted criminal. He won’t be able to take any flights. That leaves with only one option."
"The waters," Noah replied in realization, and Aria nodded in agreent.
"Are you thinking of capturing him then?" Ian frowned, and Aria gave him a look that said ’Do I look like a fool to you?’
"Why will I do that? I’m not stupid to waste resources and ti for a puny man like Jared."
"Then?"
"Since his aim is Ivy, his priority would be to get to her."
"Do you want to use this place
to lure him?"
"Not at all," Aria denied it right away. "There are a lot of people, and I don’t intend to put them in danger. "What could be a better place to deal with Jared than our turf?"
"Our turf?"
"We’ll be moving Ivy to our mansion." Aria directed her gaze at Noah.
"What? Aria, that’s dangerous for Ivy. She has only woken up," Ian objected the next instant.
"Ian, we have you to take care of her. Don’t we?"
Ian was speechless, and it took him a lot of ti to react.
"But..."
"When you’re spreading the news about Ivy gaining consciousness, make it seem as if you want to hide this from everyone. Jared is a shrewd man. He’ll perceive our plan if things were to go smoothly."
With that, Aria turned around and returned to her father.
