"Boss, we’ve brought her here." Ronnie inford and Noah quirked his brows in surprise.
"That was quick." He nodded in approval and Ronnie smiled widely in triumph. Their prey was easy to catch and he didn’t have to waste a lot of manpower to capture her and bring her to the base. In less than a day, his n had captured Amber and she now lay as a prisoner in the base.
"Boss, just as you stated, Jared discarded her as a used shoe after her work was done. It was easy to track her and bring her here."
"What else do you expect from a man like Jared?" Noah sneered as he stood up and rolled his sleeves. "Why will he entertain soone once their purpose has been served? Let’s go. It’s ti to get so answers from the vile creature."
Noah stepped out of his room while Ronnie guided him to the torture room Amber was being held captive in.
Noah was not surprised to see the state Amber was in. She was bleeding from her head and he didn’t have to guess who had rendered her unconscious. He glanced at Ronnie and gave him a questioning look.
"She was being nasty and arrogant, Boss, and I was protective of my ears. I thought I’d beco deaf if she continued to scream. So, I knocked her out." Ronnie explained imdiately.
"Good job. She deserves it." Noah was not against what Ronnie did.
Amber didn’t need any special treatnt just because she was a girl. She was equally responsible for Ivy’s incident and he’d make sure she suffered worse than what she’d in hell.
"Wake her up." He ordered the two lady guards and they imdiately poured a bucket of piping hot water on her.
Amber woke up with a scream and it was loud enough to wake everyone in the base. She continued screaming as the boiling water burnt her skin. But no one ca to her rescue. Her horror didn’t end at that.
Ronnie glanced at the two ladies and imdiately after, one of them pulled her hair hard and Amber cried out in pain instantly.
"Why are you doing this to ?" She wailed as she closed her eyes shut. She felt miserable and the pain on her face was making it difficult for her to speak.
"If you open your eyes, you’ll find out the reason why you’re being tornted." Noah’s dark voice fell on her ears and Amber’s eyes snapped open imdiately.
"You..." Her eyes widened in fear and Noah tilted his head in amusent.
"I see that you recognize . Good. We can skip the unnecessary parts. Now, spit out the truth."
Amber shuddered when she t his sinister gaze and she averted her eyes imdiately. Her eyes shook when she realized why she had been caught.
"I don’t know what you’re referring to." She tried to feign ignorance and Noah was impressed by her stubbornness. If it was any other ti, he’d have appreciated her actions. But now, when he was filled with nothing but hatred and killing intent, anything she said would only trigger him to kill her earlier.
"If you do not wish to speak..." Noah waved his hand and the two ladies poured another bucket of boiling water and Amber’s screams erupted again.
Boils erged on her face and she turned hideous at once. But none of them were fazed by her state and they continued to stare at her as they waited for her to speak.
"Are you going to speak or do you need more motivation?" Ronnie questioned and Amber shook her head imdiately. She couldn’t move, her restraints kept her in place as she shrieked in pain.
"I’ll speak. I’ll speak." Amber surrendered. The pain was not sothing she could tolerate and she didn’t wish to go through it anymore. It was as if her body was being boiled in hot oil slowly.
"Speak," Ronnie ordered harshly and Amber trembled in fright.
"It was Jared." She started and Noah leaned back on his chair as he stared at the woman before him in rage. "He planned all of it. I had no hand in it."
"Who are you fooling, Amber?" Noah let out a chuckle that resembled nothing less than a call of death to Amber. "Do you think I’ll believe that you had no hand in whatever happened?"
"I really...."
"What was your plan?" Noah threw his question to Amber and the woman went silent instantly. "Do you mind shedding a light on what you told Joshua that compelled him to break up with Ivy?"
Silence. That was all he got the mont the question rolled out of his lips.
So what if Amber was not willing to disclose everything to them? He had all the ti in the world and a variety of torture thods. Sothing or the other would get her speaking. He glanced at Ronnie and just when they were about to incorporate another torture thod on her, Amber started laughing all of a sudden.
Noah was not surprised that the woman went crazy all of a sudden. He had expected it. Her reaction was a given considering the situation she was in.
"I never expected Joshua to be such a weakling." She laughed as if she was rejoicing in their anguish and Noah narrowed his eyes as she glared at her.
"Isn’t he pathetic? If he really loved Ivy as much as he claid to, he wouldn’t have broken up with her due to my instigations. What a la man he is!" Amber gloated and for once, Noah agreed with her.
Joshua was pathetic and the way he behaved was not sothing he’d ever appreciate and accept.
"Who knew that my words hurt his ego so much that he’d end his relationship with Ivy? Jared was right. Joshua acted exactly how we wanted him to." Amber continued, not noticing the danger she was in and how terrible her situation would be once the truth was out.
"Who knew that Joshua’s pride would be hurt when I said that his inability to please made leave him?" Amber laughed all of a sudden and Noah’s brows shot up in realization. He now understood why Joshua had broken up Ivy and had decided to protect his heart instead.
