"Noah, put down," Aria commanded but the man gave a deaf ear to her words and continued carrying her upstairs. "Noah, put down. Everyone’s here." She looked behind and averted her gaze away when she t the Carter family’s teasing gazes. They were smiling at her widely without caring about her embarrassnt.
Rachel especially raised her brows playfully, agitating her all the more. A faint blush crept up on Aria’s cheeks and she hid her face in his chest. She was now unable to et anyone’s eyes and she did not know if she could in the future either.
"How shaless!" She mumbled loud enough for the man to hear.
Noah was stunned for a mont hearing her scold him. But he burst out laughing the next instant, irking her all the more.
"Why are you laughing?" She seethed and glared at the man who disregarded all her attempts to get down. "Did you inhale Nitrous Oxide? I don’t think our situation should make you laugh." She rebuked without holding back and her effort to save herself from embarrassnt only tickled Noah all the more.
"Aria," He looked at her with a mischievous smile. "If you are not going to stop talking, I’m going to kiss you senseless once we are inside the room."
"Don’t you dare!!" Aria warned him but his wicked expression said otherwise.
"I’ll take that as a challenge," Noah responded evilly and opened the door to their room. He placed Aria on the bed gently before he locked the door.
anwhile, Aria scooted further away from him while she looked at him in apprehension. Noah looked as if he was about to eat her alive and if she did not escape from him now, she’d not be leaving the room anymore today.
"Noah, don’t." She warned again. But the man gave no heed to her orders. Instead, he just quirked a brow and pushed back his sleeves while maintaining his gaze on her.
"Aria, sweetie, there is no use running away. You can’t escape from ." Noah stated calmly and Aria hurled a pillow at him imdiately.
Noah’s reaction was quick and he caught the pillow before it smacked his face.
"Looks like you want to provoke ." Noah lunged forward, his eyes twinkling with mischief.
But Aria was agile and quick and she jumped off the bed right before he could get to her.
"No. I never did. You are the one misreading the situation here." Aria objected and moved towards the door, ready to flee from the place.
But Noah was not having it and he dashed towards her before she could leave.
Aria gasped when she felt the man’s body pressing in on her from behind. She was now trapped between the sturdy door and the strong man behind her.
"Where are you going to go now, love?" Noah teased and leaned forward, forcing Aria to push herself closer towards the door.
In the constrained space, she felt small and helpless while Noah was delighted to see her plight. With her flushed cheeks and beautiful features, she looked absolutely gorgeous, making him want to take a bite.
Noah couldn’t control himself anymore and kissed her cheek startling the lady in his arms with his actions. Aria turned around in shock and the mont she did so, the man dived in to kiss her lips.
With passion, fervor and love, he kissed her. Although Aria did not react at first, she too started to reciprocate the kiss when her walls crumbled. Standing on her toes, she wrapped her arms around his neck and Noah took the opportunity to lift her.
With his arms under her butt, he lifted her and walked back towards the bed, not once breaking the kiss in the anwhile. Aria wrapped her legs around his waist and attached herself completely to him while she surrendered to his intense fervor.
The man’s kiss had the power to make her forget everything. She even forgot that she was annoyed at him a few monts ago.
It was after a long ti that Noah let her go and watched her heave loudly while she took in deep breaths. With her swollen lips, misty eyes, and pink, flushed cheeks, she looked mind-blowingly stunning. Although he had other naughty intentions in mind, he suppressed his desires and moved away from her. The ti and the situation was not right. They still had a lot of work to do.
Moreover, his family was around and if were to do sothing while they were still present, Aria would never forgive him.
Aria breathed heavily while Noah caressed her cheeks as he watched her gain her sanity slowly.
Aria glared at him imdiately the mont she felt better. "You idiot." She punched him. "You bully. You always bully ." She complained.
"Love, I haven’t started bullying you yet. Wait until tonight. I’ll show you what exactly bullying is and how far I can go. You may complain as much as you want then. I’ll not object." Noah winked at her cheekily.
Aria was tongue-tied. She had no coback for his shalessness. The man could surpass Joshua for his shalessness if he wanted.
"Now, Aria, would you mind telling why I was kept in the dark all this while?" Noah questioned, his expression softening on noticing the lady fixing her ssed up hair.
"What are you talking about?" Aria looked at him disconcertedly while her fingers kept running between her hair.
"I am referring to the three pieces of advice you gave to Grandpa. Why wasn’t I aware of them?" Noah quirked his brow at her questioningly.
"That’s because I never told you about them," Aria replied sarcastically, rendering Noah speechless for a mont.
"Aria?" Noah probed.
"I was doing quite so thinking the last few days and I ca up with these solutions. I never got the chance to disclose my ideas to you before." She replied honestly. "Leave all these aside." Aria crossed her legs and looked at Noah with a solemn expression.
"What was going on between you and Preston?"
"What about it?" Noah ran his fingers through his hair as he feigned ignorance.
"Don’t try to avoid the question, Noah. I saw you two involved in a staring contest. Would you mind revealing what was all that about?" Aria did not give up. Noah was hiding sothing for sure and her curiosity was now ignited.
"You must be mistaken, Aria. There’s nothing like that." Noah tried to evade and Aria narrowed her eyes as she stared at him silently for a few monts.
"You are right. I must be mistaken. There was nothing serious going on."
Noah nodded at her with a smile lingering on his lips.
"You two were just conveying your love to each other." With that, Aria huffed and walked out of the room, leaving Noah to stare at her in amusent.
Once she was out of his sight, his smile slipped and his expression turned serious. "How do I tell you, Aria? Preston does not seem to be as simple as I thought him to be. It is better for a few people to know the truth to reduce the danger.
