By the ti Aria woke up, three hours had passed and she let out a sigh when she saw Noah deep asleep. His face had regained color and he seed to be recovering slowly.

'Thank God, there was no ergency tonight. Otherwise, I wouldn't have been able to take care of him.' She massaged her neck, which had gone sore due to her awkward posture while sleeping and she stood up slowly, allowing the blood to circulate through her legs.

Once she felt comfortable, she checked Noah's condition. His temperature had dropped to 98 and her shoulders dropped imdiately in relief. At least he did not have a fever anymore. She thought and smiled in relief.

Pulling out her phone, she was just about to send a group ssage to everyone about Noah's condition but halted when she saw the number of missed calls and ssages. Even before she inford them, they had found out about it and everyone was asking her about his health status.

Aria smiled faintly and shook her head. 'It must have been Ronnie. He must have inford them.' She mused and replied to all the ssages one by one but did not call back anyone.

However, barely had she finished replying to them when her phone rang and Aria's brows shot up when she saw who it was. "Hello, Ian?"

"How is he, Aria?" Her friend imdiately questioned her, and Aria glanced at Noah, who was still deep asleep. "He is recovering. His fever is gone and he is sleeping right now." Aria updated the status and started massaging her stiff shoulder muscles.

"I am going to kill that idiot once he wakes." Ian seethed and Aria let out a laugh in amusent. "You are not the only one. Join the gang." She chirped and glanced at Noah again, not forgetting to direct a small glare towards him.

"How dare he ignore his body and work until he falls sick? He needs to be taught a lesson." Ian grumbled and Aria could not stop herself from laughing out loud. "And don't you dare support him this ti. I'm warning you."

"Hey, hey, hey. Stop. I am going to join you in teaching him a lesson. Why do you think I will support him when he is wrong in the first place?" Aria argued and pouted in dismay.

"Good. Rember your words. Don't go back on them once Noah wakes up and cajoles you with flowery and lovely words."

"Hey, I am not like that..." Arai's voice dropped at the end and she lowered her head imdiately. She was not sure that she could promise him that. There had been tis when she had given in to Noah the mont he cajoled her or gave her his puppy look. So, she did not fight back, allowing Ian to have the upper hand this ti.

"Wait a minute. I'm getting a call from Joshua." "Add him," Ian suggested and Aria did just that.

"How is he, Aria?" Joshua's voice was tinged with fatigue, and Aria raised her brows, wondering what had left him so exhausted.

'Was it Ivy?' She shook her head imdiately. 'It cannot be. Ivy is at ho and Joshua, well...I don't know where he is.'

"He is recovering well. Don't worry." Aria assured him and Joshua let out a sigh.

"If not for Ronnie assuring , I would have rushed to the hospital the mont I received his call. How dare he ignore his body? I am going to kill him." Joshua too repeated the exact words Ian had spoken and the two listeners laughed imdiately at the coincidence.

"Join the queue. There are already two people awaiting to kill Noah." Ian remarked and Aria scratched her neck as she listened to the two friends argue like kids.

"Ohh, the doctor is here too." Joshua's tone jumped an octave in excitent. "Why? Can't sleep, old man?"

"Oh, I was sleeping alright. It was Aria's ssage that woke up. But what were you doing and why do you sound so exhausted?" Ian did not let go of the opportunity to tease his friend and Aria let out a helpless laugh in amusent.

"Were you doing sothing underage children should not know?" Ian continued and Aria bit her tongue to stop herself from laughing out loud.

"Either you are crazy or you have gone stupid. How can I do anything when my Ivy is not here? Aria, close your ears. This conversation is not for your innocent ears." "Well, you are speaking about my sister. I need to hear what is happening." Aria did not give in and played along.

"Yes, that's correct. Ask him what he was doing. Co on. Tell us. And so what if Ivy is not with you? You still have your hands."

Aria had never heard Ian speak so shalessly before her and for a mont, she was rendered tongue-tied. Every ti, he had stayed reserved and in control. Even when Joshua teased the hell out of him, he had not rebuked him much. But this ti, it seed as if his tongue had no filter at all.

"You dirty old man..." Joshua scread and Aria had to pull her phone away from her ear to prevent herself from going deaf in one ear. "You use hands. Your whole life, you have used hands." Aria could not believe what she was hearing and started laughing until her stomach hurt. It was the funniest conversation she had ever heard.

"As expected, you have gone crazy," Ian replied monotonously.

"You are crazy. You, old man, don't co in front of for the next few days. Otherwise, I'll strangle you to death." Joshua was too exasperated and Aria took this mont to intervene.

"Ti out, please. Stop bickering like kids. Now, tell us, why do you sound so tired? What happened?" "I was looking into Theo's matters and also about the man who murdered Charles. It is more complicated than I thought."

"Do you an to say you haven't slept an ounce since the ti you reached ho?" Aria was shocked beyond words and she could not help but exclaim in wonder.

"You could say that. Listen, guys, I still have so work to do. I'll have to leave now. I will talk to you later."

"I'll go to sleep too. I will et you in the morning, Aria." Ian too followed suit and Aria heard him yawn as he struggled to speak.

"Yep, see you later."

The call ended and Aria sighed before she shook her head, only to stop when she saw Noah was awake and staring at her silently.
