"Grandpa will be fine, Noah. Don't worry." Aria leaned against Noah's shoulder and hugged his arm gently. Although her eyes were focused on the ground, more towards Noah's shoes, her mind was filled with the man who finally seed relieved and at ease.
"I hope so, Aria. I have never been this frightened before, and I do not know how I will be able to face him after all that I did to him and told him." Noah ran a hand through his hair in frustration. "He must detest for how I behaved the past few days."
"Grandpa will understand, Noah. The situation was critical, and none of us had control over it. I'm sure, by now, Dad must have found the truth, and in no ti, he will understand that it was all a misunderstanding. Grandpa's involvent was coincidental, and he had no hand in any matters related to Jared."
Noah just sighed and looked down as he clasped his hands. All he could think of was his grandfather's face in his most vulnerable mont, and it was too daunting for him to ignore.
Silence ensued between the two, and other than the nurses checking on the other patients occasionally, there were not many people around.
"Boss," Ronnie carefully approached the couple and held the bento boxes. "Please have sothing."
"I'm not hungry. But, Aria, you must be famished. Have sothing." Noah took the boxes and smiled at Ronnie gratefully. "What about you? Did you have sothing? You have been with all this ti. Eat sothing and rest for a while."
"I am fine, Boss. I..." Ronnie swallowed the words about to escape his lips when he noticed the man before him looking at him questioningly.
"Ronnie..." Noah dragged, his tone filled with warning.
"Yes, Boss."
"You should take care of yourself too."
"Yes, Boss." Ronnie nodded and lowered his eyes.
"Now, go and have sothing and rest for so ti. I'll call you if I need anything."
"But Boss..."
"Ronnie....Go." Noah did not allow the man to object, and Ronnie had no choice but to follow the orders.
Aria waited until Ronnie was out of sight before she pecked Noah's cheek. The kiss was so swift that Noah did not even register it imdiately. Instead, he stared blankly at her for a few seconds before he snapped out of surprise.
"What was that?" Noah blinked, his lips arching up in a slight smile. "Are you finding lovely all of a sudden? Is your love for overflowing and you are unable to control it? Wait a minute..."
Aria raised her brows when she saw the man's eyes curving slightly, his devilish thoughts written clearly on his face. She knew nothing good would co out of his mouth and Noah's following words proved just that.
"Aria, we are at the hospital. Control yourself. I would have satisfied you if we were at ho." Noah shook his head as though he was accusing Aria. "When did you beco so horny? Why did I not know?" He mused and tapped his lips lightly. Aria narrowed her eyes, and her lips thinned into a straight line.
"Excellent, Noah. Very good." She huffed and furrowed her brows, her eyes not hiding her annoyance. "I'll rember your words the next ti you co to . For sure, I will." She scooted away from him to show him her stance, and that was all it took for Noah to realize how badly he had ssed up.
His smile slipped and he scuttled closer to her to salvage the situation, only for Aria to turn her head away.
'Fuck, did I go overboard? Is my sex life in danger now? What do I do? What do I do?' A myriad of questions ran through his mind and he thought of ways to appease his lady love. "I was just joking, Aria."
"But I am serious. Wait and watch." She retorted, not giving the man a chance to salvage the situation.
"Aria," He held her hand, and she did not evade his touch. "I was joking, sweetheart. Don't take it to heart."
Aria glared at him before she turned her head away from him again. Then, finally, she scoffed and opened the bento box, allowing Noah to sit and think of ways to appease her.
"Aria, I am hungry." Noah changed his tactics when he realized that his previous approach was not working anymore.
"I rember soone telling Ronnie that he was not hungry. I wonder who it was." She raised her brows enquiringly at him. "And now, all of a sudden, he is hungry. How amazing!!"
Although Aria was mocking him for eating his words barely a few monts after, she held a spoonful of the chicken rice in front of his lips. "Eat."
"Thanks, baby. I'll..."
"But that does not an I forgot everything you told . On the contrary, I'll rember them forever."
Noah choked on his food, and Aria handed him a water bottle. "Careful, sweetie. Eat slowly." She even winked afterward to add more to his misery, and Noah had no choice but to swallow his complaints silently. But, of course, it was his fault in the first place, and he could do nothing but bla himself for it.
'Goodbye, my amazing sex life. I will miss you.' He cried in his mind and picked up the other bento box. "You have not eaten anything too. Eat first, Aria."
Aria did not reject him and started eating, thanking Ronnie for bringing the food. Only she knew how grumpy her stomach had beco after not feeding it for a long ti.
And just like that, the couple forgot their banter and started feeding each other, ignoring the looks the nurse gave them when she was passing by them to check on one of the patients in the VIP ward.
Nobody noticed the observant eyes on the couple that had not missed a single action for even a mont before slipping away from the place without alerting anyone, in the anwhile.
