Serena snuggled closer to Aiden, right there on the hospital bed, resting her head against his shoulder. "We might just be the most boring people on Earth ever to be born, Aiden!" she complained, her voice light but teasing him, now that she was sure that he was not hurting much.

Aiden, with his eyes still closed, shifted his head slightly and inhaled deeply, savoring her sweet fragrance after having inhaled the fus of that antiseptic all around him.. Happy now, to have her close, even though she’d taken a huge risk, he smirked and responded, "Well, considering the fact that you’re wearing that cute little nurse outfit and snuggling up to , I’d say this is far from boring. I almost feel like I am cheating on my wife."

Serena rolled her eyes, exasperated. "Oh, please! This might not be boring if you could actually do sothing about it. Like, I don’t know, play the naughty patient or the dirty doctor boss. And if you even think about cheating on your wife, I’ll cut off your di*k!"

Aiden grinned. "Hey, the only person I can cheat with is you. So I’m sure my wife doesn’t have to worry about this. As for doing sothing, I can play the naughty patient just fine." He lifted his hand and gave her a playful smack on the backside, just to prove his point. After all, it was his duty as a ’naughty’ patient to harass his nurse.

Serena gasped, her eyes flashing with mock anger. "I’ll give you the wrong injection, Hawk, if you touch my a** one more ti."

Aiden raised an eyebrow, an impish smile forming on his lips in reply to that. "But it’s so soft. I like it. See, my hand just goes there on its own." He let his hand linger for a mont, caressing her bu** and squeezing a bit... reinforcing his point.

Serena moaned softly, loving the way his hand caressed her but then stopped him with a firm hand, almost glaring at him for making her all bothered at a ti like this!. "Do not start, okay! I ca here to talk not to indulge in role play."."

Aiden groaned, pulling back reluctantly. "Well, you just snuggled into bed with , and now you want to talk? And then you claim we are boring! Serena, my honey, you are the boring one." He sighed deeply, his head sinking back onto the pillow as he closed his eyes again. He needed to cound so sheep to distract himself. "I’m pretty sure you were sent to this earth just to torture ."

Serena’s grin widened, and she shook her head. "Nope. I’m here to help you practice self-restraint, you savage."

Aiden rolled his eyes dramatically, but his lips twitched with amusent. "Okay then. Hit with it."

Serena shifted slightly on the bed, her playful expression lting into one of deep contemplation. "I think I know why Nvidia wasn’t buried in the family graveyard," she said, her voice quieter now.

Aiden opened one eye, studying her face with mild curiosity. He raised an eyebrow. "Why do you think?"

"Well," Serena began, adjusting her position so she could et his gaze directly, "so cultures have strict rules about who can be buried in family plots. For example, in certain traditions, people who have taken their own life aren’t allowed to rest among their kin. But that didn’t seem to fit with the Corricks—or their beliefs."

Aiden’s expression shifted from curiosity to interest as he listened. Serena continued, her voice picking up a note of excitent. "So, I did so research into the Corrick’s culture and customs. It took so ti, but I finally found an answer. The only reason they wouldn’t lay soone to rest in the family plot is if that person had done sothing to bring sha upon them—sothing considered taboo. You know like cheating on a marriage or sothing more... like I don’t know! Give so ideas about things that could have been forbidden at that ti!"

Aiden chuckled softly, shaking his head. "Ah, so that’s where this is coming from. That explains your comnt about us being boring," he teased. He could see it now—Serena’s mind, spinning with ideas about what kind of scandal Nvidia might have been caught up in.

Serena gave him a playful glare but didn’t lose her serious tone. "Think about it, Aiden. What could Nvidia have done that was so disgraceful she was excluded from the family’s final resting place?"

Aiden’s smile faded as he mulled over her question. A flicker of thought passed through his eyes, and he sat up slightly, propping himself on his elbow. "Actually," he said slowly, "there’s another possibility."

Serena’s brows shot up, curiosity making her gaze sparkle. "Really? What is it?"

"Another reason Nvidia might not be buried with the Corrick family is that she’s not dead at all," Aiden stated, watching Serena’s expression shift from surprise to intrigue. "Think about it," he went on, "Corrick never said she was dead. He only ever ntioned that Edwina ruined his sister’s life. He didn’t say she took it or caused her death or whatever."

Serena stared at him as if he had suddenly grown a second head. For a mont, there was only silence between them, punctuated by the soft rustle of the sheets. Aiden tilted his head, a small smirk playing at the corner of his lips. "What? You think I’m wrong?"

Serena blinked, the pieces of the puzzle beginning to shift into new formations in her mind. "No," she whispered,"No, I don’t think you’re wrong at all. I think you might have just uncovered sothing we missed."

Aiden’s smirk softened into a warm smile. "Well, I guess that makes us just a little less boring, doesn’t it? Maybe we are not the ’most’ boring people on earth."

Serena couldn’t help the grin that spread across her face. "Oh! That we are! We need so excitent in our lives. Like you know misunderstandings, jealousy, etc. This is soone else’s drama that we’re being forced to finish. We need to create our own drama..." she agreed, the thrill of the mystery rekindling the light in her eyes, anwhile Aiden almost shuddered at what kind of drama Serena might whip up.
