Matthew’s expression shifted to one of disbelief, his voice rising in vehent protest. "That’s impossible! Just because we’ve approached you with a proposition doesn’t an we have to capitulate to such blatant daylight robbery. We could handle this in a variety of other ways that don’t involve serving our shares on a platter to you!"

Aiden rely shrugged, unfazed by Matthew’s indignation and emotional outburst. "You’re free to leave whenever you wish. The door is right there." He gestured casually, as if the stakes of the conversation were of little consequence to him.

And honestly, they were. The only reason he had even taken an interest in Nvidia was due to Serena. While Nvidia was indeed a prestigious conglorate, it held little appeal for him otherwise. He would much prefer to establish his own companies from the ground up rather than take over sothing that was already functioning in such an antiquated way.

It was only for Serena...

Governor Corrick, sensing the brewing storm in the room, quickly intervened, raising a hand to calm Matthew. "Now, now, let’s not be hasty," he said, his tone asured and authoritative. "We need to consider our options carefully before we make any rash decisions."

Matthew, unable to contain his frustration, attempted to protest further. "But, Uncle—"

However, a sharp glance from Corrick silenced him instantly. Aiden narrowed his eyes, observing the dynamic between the two n with interest. It was clear who held the reins in this conversation, and it wasn’t Matthew Dawn. This realization was both intriguing and enlightening.

How did Corrick beco entwined in this situation? Taking into account this connection and considering how Serena’s accident reports had mysteriously vanished from Vancity, Aiden couldn’t help but feel even more intrigued by the old man and his involvent with the Dawn’s.

After a mont of tense silence, Corrick cleared his throat, shifting his deanor as he spoke. "Mr. Hawk, it appears you are well-inford about our affairs. However, Matthew cannot sell his shares for the next three years due to the stipulations laid out in the old lady’s will, as you might already know. Those are the rules, and we must abide by them. Therefore, what you are asking for is non-negotiable."

Aiden seized the opportunity, leaning back in his chair and steepling his fingers under his chin and cocking his head slightly. "But you have the option of selling your shares, Governor. You hold a significant portion, after all, under various aliases. I’m more than willing to pay a fair price for it—one that reflects its true value."

The tension in the room thickened palpably, and Aiden’s calm deanor stood in stark contrast to the rising anxiety evident on Matthew’s face. Corrick’s eyes flicked between Aiden and Matthew, calculating the implications of Aiden’s offer as he realized that this man knew much more than they had anticipated. This revelation did not please him in the least.

"So, what will it be?" Aiden pressed, his voice steady and unwavering, the corners of his mouth curling into a knowing smile. "We could craft a mutually beneficial arrangent, or you could choose to walk away empty-handed. The choice is entirely yours."

Corrick clenched his hands, feeling the weight of the decision before him. He had slowly and steadily accumulated these shares over the years, carefully concealing his connections to the shareholders from Edwina. It was precisely why, apart from the majority shares held in Serena’s na through proxy and Sidney’s hands, many of the other shareholders were already in his pocket, and those who were not were being ticulously wooed by his minions. But now, Aiden Hawk stood before him, offering them power in exchange for a strategy that could potentially weaken them.

"Mr. Hawk," Corrick finally replied, his voice deliberate and asured, "I hope you would allow us so ti to think this over."

Aiden shrugged, a nonchalant gesture that belied the tension in the room. "You can take all the ti you need, Governor. Honestly, if I were in your position, I would not waste that ti. I can already see that the tide is turning in favor of Miss Serena, especially with Sidney’s support backing her. After speaking with her yesterday, it beca clear to that she is not only intelligent but also quite resourceful. If your people are already wooing the other shareholders, you can be assured that hers are working just as diligently. And with her starting to restructure the company, the question of how long the managent will remain in your hands becos increasingly doubtful."

"That is enough, Mr Hawk! I will not sit here and listen to you undermine us! We are all businessn here and ca to you in good faith! But if you are out to rob us... we are not interested!" With that Matthew Dawn stood up and walked out of the office.

Aiden raised an eyebrow at Corrick who did not move but was staring at him. And so, he stared back," You are not leaving, Governor?"

The old man smiled and instead looked at Aiden carefully," Matthew is young and only recently has he been able to spread his wings. So of course he is not happy that he has to fight for what should have been rightfully his. I will apologize on his behalf. And I hope we can co to a suitable soulution."

Aiden gave a barely perceptible nod to indicate that he was listening and Corrick continued," I believe you do have a grudge against Sidney, sothing other than business."

Aiden gave a smile then and responded," And I believe you do have ulterior motives for this. Sothing more than helping Mr Dawn."

Corrick narrowed his eyes. This man really was perceptive. "Then maybe it is ti we bring our personal feelings to the table so that we can move further. I can give you a small portion of what you want. But then you would have to give sothing more..."

It was a long while later that the two n stood up and shook hands, as Governor Corrick left with a " Look forward to doing business with you, Mr Hawk."
