What are you pretending to be dumb for?

What’s Fu doing...what does he an by this!

Just as Zhou Huaiyi was biting into a tomato and pondering, a familiar female voice suddenly ca to her ear: "Qi Chen, what are you thinking about?"

Jiang Wei stood beside him, wearing a black and white evening gown, radiant and beautiful.

Zhou Huaiyi was delighted: "Hi, Teacher Jiang."

Jiang Wei chuckled and sat down next to him: "Still calling that even today?"

Zhou Huaiyi grinned: "It feels a bit more familiar this way."

Jiang Wei looked at her with a smile: "You seem a bit different lately..."

"Do I..." Zhou Huaiyi guiltily rolled her eyes and rubbed her nose, "I don’t think so..."

Jiang Wei burst into laughter: "Maybe it’s just an illusion."

Zhou Huaiyi shrugged, smiling without saying anything.

The venue was a mix of noise—music, chatter, clinking glasses. To Zhou Huaiyi, it felt a bit chaotic. She sat at the dining table, eating by herself, watching so celebrity interactions on stage, and occasionally chatted a bit with Jiang Wei beside her, trying not to stand out too much.

However, due to Xiang Qichen’s soaring popularity in the past two years and the growing number of fans, even though Zhou Huaiyi kept a low profile, she ultimately couldn’t escape the host calling her out.

Zhou Huaiyi: "..."

So, under the watchful eyes of everyone, Zhou Huaiyi strided up to the stage.

Official greeting: "Hello everyone, I am Xiang Qichen."

The audience erupted in cheers.

Host: "Qi Chen, you’ve been busy filming lately, right?"

Zhou Huaiyi: "Yes."

Host: "So did you take a special leave from the crew to co today?"

Zhou Huaiyi: "No, the crew just happened to have a break."

Host: "That’s quite a coincidence. Anything you want to say to the fans?"

Zhou Huaiyi: "...I wish you all happiness every day."

The room burst into laughter.

Hiding in the corner, Xiang Qichen: "..."

Host: felt a bit stuck...

Taking the opportunity, Zhou Huaiyi bowed, handed back the microphone, and quickly ran off the stage.

Just as she sat back down, soone tapped her on the shoulder, Zhou Huaiyi turned around.

Xiang Qichen: "Co out for a bit."

Zhou Huaiyi was eager, stood up and followed him backstage: "Where’s Sister Yan? Why didn’t she co?"

Xiang Qichen walked ahead: "She had sothing to do and left first."

Zhou Huaiyi was shocked: "Left? Can I leave too? I’m so hungry...there’s only fruit inside, nothing else to eat..."

Xiang Qichen: "Not yet, we have to wait until the charity fundraising segnt is over."

Zhou Huaiyi responded with an "Oh" and then suddenly thought of sothing, asking: "Qi Chen, do you know Fu Weiheng?"

With Xiang Qichen’s back to her the whole ti, he finally turned around: "I know him; he was the violin consultant for ’Strings Make Your Heart Beat’ that year."

"What the heck?" Zhou Huaiyi was so surprised that she couldn’t help but curse, "Are you serious?"

Xiang Qichen squinted slightly, seeming to catch onto sothing: "What’s wrong?"

Feeling a bit guilty, Zhou Huaiyi shrunk her neck: "I couldn’t hold back just now and excitedly told him I’m a fan and asked for his autograph..."

Xiang Qichen: "..."

Zhou Huaiyi continued: "He didn’t give it and even said, Xiang Qichen, what are you pretending to be dumb about?"

Xiang Qichen: "......"

Zhou Huaiyi is definitely a drama queen...

Once the fundraising segnt ended, Zhou Huaiyi couldn’t stay for even a second longer and left.

In this fundraising event, nurous celebrities donated, and Xiang Qichen also donated eight hundred thousand in his own na. Hearing this, Zhou Huaiyi was surprised: "Hey, I didn’t know a thing!"

Xiang Qichen was packing his bag: "I had already discussed the donation amount with Sister Yan."

Soon after the fundraising segnt started, Xiang Qichen let Yang Li and the team leave first, promising everyone would get ho safely.

At first, Yang Li was a bit uneasy, but then thought if there really was sothing between Qi Chen and Zhou Huaiyi, he’d be the one spoiling it, and considering Qi Chen could drive, nothing much should happen, so he encouraged everyone to go ho together.

The two quietly left the venue, and just as they stepped out of the elevator, they happened to run into Fu Weiheng and Su Wan.

Out of politeness, Zhou Huaiyi was the first to nod, smile, and greet them.

Su Wan responded with a smile, whereas Fu Weiheng, on the other hand, looked indifferent and chose to ignore them.

The handso couple’s figures gradually faded, and the only sound in the empty parking lot was Fu Weiheng’s magnetic voice asking: "Does that kid look better than ?"

Followed imdiately by a lodious female voice, confidently and delicately answering: "Of course, he doesn’t look better than you."

Hearing this, Zhou Huaiyi suddenly turned her head, patted her chest, and gave Xiang Qichen a thumbs up: "Qi Chen, in my eyes, you’re the best-looking one!"

Xiang Qichen: "..."
