Su Tiantian: "Then tell after you’ve watched the finale. I’d really like to know if the two of them end up together."
Jiang Ruan suddenly asked her: "Do you hope they end up together?"
Su Tiantian replied without thinking: "Of course, who doesn’t love a love story."
As she spoke, Su Tiantian smiled sweetly, her little face filled with longing for love.
This made Jiang Ruan completely silent.
Su Tiantian’s state didn’t seem fake; she genuinely had no mory.
Jiang Ruan asked her: "Tiantian, have you ever been in love?"
Su Tiantian exclaid: "Ah," she replied, "No."
Jiang Ruan was surprised: "You’re already twenty-four, and you’ve never been in love?"
Su Tiantian shook her head: "I haven’t."
"My parents wanted to focus on studying."
"But honestly, I don’t know why, I always feel like I’m missing sothing."
Jiang Ruan’s attention was caught: "What?"
Su Tiantian looked at Jiang Ruan on the other side of the video, lightly biting her lips. She raised her hand and placed it on her chest: "I feel like it’s empty here."
Jiang Ruan watched her place her hand on her chest, her pupils slightly shrinking; is her heart empty?
"I can’t seem to like anyone, so I don’t fall in love." Su Tiantian said wistfully.
Suppressing her shock, Jiang Ruan comforted her: "Don’t think too much, Tiantian, just go with the flow. You’re so adorable, you might find your love in the future."
Hearing this, a flicker of light appeared in Su Tiantian’s eyes: "Really?"
Jiang Ruan: "Certainly."
They chatted a while longer, then hung up the phone.
Su Tiantian needed to sleep, as she had to get up early for class tomorrow.
anwhile, Jiang Ruan lay in bed, tossing and turning, pondering over this matter.
Bao Ye entered when she was still lost in her thoughts, not even glancing at the man.
Changing clothes and washing up on her own, Bao Ye walked over in slippers, her feet dangling off the bed, white and tender.
Bao Ye glanced at them, his voice magnetic: "What are you thinking about?"
Jiang Ruan suddenly turned her head, finally noticing him: "When did you co back?"
Bao Ye: "Ten minutes ago."
Jiang Ruan was dazed: "Ah?"
"You were so deep in thought, it didn’t disturb you." Bao Ye got into bed, lying beside her, pulling her into his arms: "What happened?"
Resting her head on his chest, Jiang Ruan lifted his large hand, her delicate hand holding his distinctly structured fingers: "Nothing happened."
"I just called Su Tiantian."
Bao Ye was calm: "Hmm."
"I probed her, but she genuinely seems to know nothing. She told her heart is empty."
Jiang Ruan furrowed her eyebrows: "Bao Ye, do you think it’s possible she actually lost her mory?"
Bao Ye was slightly surprised: "Amnesia?"
Jiang Ruan nodded: "Yes, when soone is under extre stress or has a physical trauma, they can lose part of their mory."
"Based on our judgnt, there can’t be two people in the world who look exactly the sa. She is definitely Duan Tiantian, but she has no mory. Guessing she has amnesia seems quite plausible."
Bao Ye remained silent for a mont, then slowly spoke: "Then find a doctor to examine her."
"No." Jiang Ruan refused: "Taking her to see a doctor so suddenly will surely make her defensive."
"I need to think of a way to handle this," Jiang Ruan said, "One that lets her cooperate without raising suspicion."
Jiang Ruan sighed: "It’s so difficult."
Bao Ye saw her worried and felt a bit helpless.
He gently stroked her long hair: "Take it slow, there’s no rush."
Jiang Ruan gazed at him with dark eyes: "I wonder why I’m even bothering, but the more I connect with her, the more I genuinely like her. Pure, kind, she’s so beautiful, like an innocent maiden."
Jiang Ruan sighed: "She could be the Snow White type I used to envy the most."
Bao Ye found it increasingly absurd: "She’s in her twenties, yet still pure and kind?"
"So what?" Jiang Ruan said: "Every ti I’m near her, she just feels so well-behaved, so guileless."
Bao Ye: "Isn’t it possible she’s just pretending?"
Jiang Ruan was about to say sothing further.
Bao Ye interrupted: "Otherwise, it might be genuine amnesia, which can make soone as innocent as a child."
Jiang Ruan: "I think so too."
Jiang Ruan sighed: "I’ll try again."
"If it doesn’t work, just stop fussing. Directly let give her details to that person, and whatever happens, it has nothing to do with you or ." Bao Ye said coldly.
"No." Jiang Ruan refused without thinking and grabbed his wrist, the Buddha Beads appeared before her eyes. She earnestly said: "You don’t believe in Buddha, but I believe, I need to accumulate blessings for you so you’ll live long and prosper."
