Chen Nan’s thoughts were simple: Bao Ye is a workaholic, spending almost all his ti working aside from als and social events.

Maybe it’s because he sat for too long, which made his back uncomfortable and caused it to strain.

No wonder Mr. Bao didn’t get out of the car earlier; he sensed sothing was off then.

Chen Nan sighed inwardly; Mr. Bao really cares about saving face.

When these words reached Bao Ye’s ears, his face instantly turned dark, and his black eyes glared at Chen Nan like a blade. His tone was icy: "What are you questioning?"

Chen Nan didn’t understand: "Huh?"

"Chen Nan, you’re getting bold," Bao Ye said, "How dare you question ..."

Despite the severe back pain, Bao Ye’s anger was even greater; he spoke through gritted teeth.

Before he finished speaking, Chen Nan suddenly understood what Bao Ye ant.

With a face caught between crying and laughing, Chen Nan quickly interrupted, "Misunderstanding, Mr. Bao, misunderstanding."

"I didn’t an it that way. When I said ’sitting,’ I ant sitting at a desk, not what you thought."

"Besides, Mr. Bao, you work out regularly. You can lift 200 pounds in a barbell. How could your back be bad? Mr. Bao, I swear I didn’t an it that way."

Chen Nan was full of a desire to survive.

He wouldn’t dare question his boss’s prowess unless he didn’t want to keep his job.

How could Chen Nan dare to?

Bao Ye let out a cold snort; only then did his anger subside a bit.

"You better not be."

Arriving at the hospital, Chen Nan helped Bao Ye out of the car.

Chen Nan had called the hospital in advance, fearing Bao Ye might not be able to walk, so the hospital had a nurse waiting with a wheelchair at the entrance to receive them.

Seeing them arrive, the nurse wheeled the chair over.

"Are you Mr. Bao Ye?"

Bao Ye replied expressionlessly, "Yes."

Seeing the wheelchair in front of him, his mood soured to the extre.

Chen Nan was attentive: "Mr. Bao, let help you sit down."

In all his years, it was Bao Ye’s first ti sitting in a wheelchair.

Sitting down, Chen Nan pushed him inside.

After completing a series of procedures, they finally arrived at the attending physician’s office. As soon as they entered, the doctor instructed Chen Nan to help him lie down.

The doctor applied a dicinal ointnt; his back was already hurting, and the doctor had a particularly strong hand, causing Bao Ye’s forehead to break into beads of cold sweat.

He gritted his teeth, managing not to make any sound.

Afterward, Bao Ye asked, "When will I recover?"

The doctor replied, "It’s said that it takes a hundred days for bones and muscles to heal. You’ve strained your back, and looking at this X-ray, you already have a herniated disc. It’ll take at least two months to heal."

"I’ll prescribe you so dications for topical and internal use. Co back for a check-up in half a month. Rember, during this ti, avoid any intense physical activities."

The doctor’s words were rather reserved.

But, as adults, everyone understood what it ant.

Chen Nan was equally surprised at the severity, glancing at Mr. Bao and thinking that Mr. Bao won’t have a ’happy life’ for the next two months.

Bao Ye’s face darkened like charcoal, and his tone instantly soured: "Two months? There’s no other way?"

The doctor shook his head: "No."

"However, if you’re willing to combine acupuncture with the treatnt, you might recover faster, but acupuncture can be a bit painful..."

Bao Ye interrupted: "Alright."

He said coldly, "I don’t care what thod you use, but my back must heal in the shortest ti possible."

Two months.

Such a long ti.

Bao Ye couldn’t bear it.

The doctor wanted to ntion again that it takes a hundred days for bones and muscles to heal, especially since his back was strained, and considering he already had issues with his back, several bones were dislocated in the X-ray.
