For a mont, everyone stood still, the world seed frozen by Roland's piercing and cold-blooded attack. All could see only his sharp blade through which passed a nacing glare and terror, gradually growing on Turgan's face.
'Commander...' Elin inwardly muttered looking at Roland, 'I must help you!'
Eline quickly drew her bowstring and prepared to fire, but Rea stopped her, putting a hand on her shoulder.
"You shouldn't. You've already accomplished your task. Leave the rest to Mr. Roland, I think it's pretty obvious that he's not going to let this Orc live." Rea said calmly as she stared at Turgan.
"RAFO!!!" Turgan exclaid furiously, dropping the cleaver to the ground in front of him and trying to slice Roland apart.
Roland's pupils narrowed as his body was covered in wind. His silhouette blurred and he found himself two ters away from the point of impact, dodging it.
"Agh..." Turgan gasped with disbelief in his gaze.
'Zayne... Not only have you gotten stronger since last ti... However, I have improved not in strength or skill, I will not let anyone crush my spirit again! No one else is going to die over this!" Roland inwardly exclaid as he lunged forward.
It was like a flash behind Turgan, next to his fiery shoulders, but despite the painful heat, Roland's confidence didn't falter one bit.
Whoooooooooooosh.
Roland swung his sword smoothly, leaving a wide cut on Turgan's back from which dark blood gushed out, staining part of Roland's face.
"RAAAARK!" Turgan cried out in pain as he swung his cleaver in panic, trying to reach for Roland.
"Slowly!" Roland exclaid and jumped up, letting the flaming cleaver beneath him, then bounced off the ground and did a sorsault in the air, ending up on Turgan's chest.
"I don't know how you got that power when you're practically burned to the ground, but I don't care. I will put an end to this here, and now, I will not allow another Chaos Hearth to appear!" Roland said coldly as he clenched his sword tightly.
The long sword was covered in a brutal wind that rushed like a whirlwind toward the wide neck. Turgan tried to resist, to throw Roland off, or sohow counterattack, but Roland was unstoppable since his sword had already sunk deep into Turgan's throat.
"You may be a monster, but you didn't have to connect with Chaos, that was your biggest mistake!" Roland shouted, swinging his sword and tearing Turgan's throat apart.
The Orc Leader could do nothing as blood gushed from his mouth, and his eyes opened wide with the fear that filled his heart. Death was just around the corner, and Turgan knew it.
Crackle.
Turgan raised his cleaver sharply, pointing it nacingly at Roland, but Roland didn't even turn around. He could see it all from the look in his opponent's eyes.
"It's all over now, isn't it?" Roland whispered, looking at Turgan's empty eyes, whose grip was gradually loosening.
The massive cleaver fell to the ground, with a clang that was Turgan's death wheeze.
Roland took a deep breath, drew his sword, and swung it, sweeping away all the blood.
"Mission accomplished." Roland muttered with a complicated look.
Geir nodded as he gulped. Everyone was relieved, and a genuine joy appeared in Elin's eyes.
'Finally! I've been useful!' Elin exclaid inwardly, clenching her fists with a broad smile on her face.
Rea tried not to show emotion, but a slight smile still appeared.
"Father... I don't know what you wanted to teach ... but power isn't really the most important thing..." Rea whispered, pressing her palm to her chest, "That Orc was strong, but all he got was suffering, just like before..."
"Hmm? Rea, did you say sothing?" Elin turned around with a confused expression.
Rea shook her head, "No, nothing serious, I'm just glad we won."
" too!" Elin threw her arms up in the air and turned around, then her eyes went wide as a glint appeared between them, "What is that...?"
As soon as Roland took a few steps away from his defeated opponent, a blue light flashed before his eyes, and a pale light fell on him, just like Zayne after his first duel.
"Wow... Is this really Fate...?" Elin muttered in disbelief.
"Yeah, it looks like it. I haven't seen Fate's Sight fall on soone in a long ti, though that's to be expected." Rea nodded, "Mr. Roland defeated such a strong opponent associated with Chaos, it's no surprise."
Roland was completely baffled. For every inhabitant of this world, Fate was like a god, so he didn't think that a simple Knight Commander like him could ever get through this.
"It's incredible... I feel myself growing stronger... Fate's Power is indescribable..." Roland muttered looking at his hands.
Gradually a coin appeared in front of him, but it was different from the one Zayne received. This coin was completely blue and after a brief mont, it exploded.
"What..." Roland's eyes went wide as the azure energy from the coin, headed towards his sword, completely covering it and gradually changing it.
The sword beca slightly longer, several ancient runes appeared on its blade, and the guard beca the shape of two wings that seed to rush forward as if under a current of wind.
"Could this be a reward from Fate itself...?" Roland looked at his new sword, trembling with awe.
"Commander... This is damn cool!" Geir exclaid cheerfully, hugging Roland like his brother and thus changing the atmosphere in an instant.
"Agh... Geir... If you don't loosen your grip now, I might actually choke!" Roland said with a smile.
"Hehehe, sorry, I just couldn't help myself." Geir grinned as he stepped aside.
Step. Step. Step.
Elin and Rea joined them with relaxed expressions on their faces. They still had to think about how to get out of the Dungeon, but they had already dealt with the main enemy, so the rest was not so difficult.
"Well, now we have to deal with this thing and go, right?" Elin asked as she pointed to the round red orb that was floating on the lava lake.
Roland nodded, "Yeah, looks like it, by the way, where's Zayne?" Roland turned around and saw Zayne walking in his direction who was also happy to see them win.
"I turned out to be the main hero this ti, didn't I?" Roland smirked.
"Yeah, you totally deserved your reward." Zayne shook his head, took a deep breath, and looked up.
Until the very end, anxious thoughts did not recede from his mind, so when it was finally over, Zayne decided to look up at the pleasant light of the blue moon that illuminated their entire battlefield.
pαndα`noνɐ1--сoМ 'I guess I've been thinking about it too much. After all, it was just a normal Dungeon, not even Chaos Hearth, so it's okay that there was no tragedy like last ti.' Zayne pondered, enjoying the calming light of the moon so of which passed through the tree crowns.
Zayne lowered his gaze slightly, and a chill went through him as if he had seen death itself. His whole body went numb, and his eyes went wide at the sight of the dark silhouette that sat on the edge of the cliff.
The silhouette's entire body was covered in thick darkness despite the bright light of the moon and only its red eye was visible, one look of which seed capable of sending any creature to hell.
