A few minutes before Jareth’s appearance on the skyscraper.
In the capital city, a small market area.
*Step* *Step*
"It’s been a long while since I last ca to human nation... the last ti was dozens of centuries ago... back then the nation was less prosperous compared to now..."
A man wearing a white coat with golden linings and designs on it walked through the market.
No one seed to have noticed his presence, and whoever ca close to him unconsciously changed their direction as if they were getting ntal hints to open a path for him alone.
Even in this chaotic marketplace filled with people to the brim, he was standing out among everyone as unique, yet no one seed to notice him.
"Why are you wasting ti here? We need to get the item you want fast! Or there won’t be anything left to appreciate here, you know~"
A charming woman was standing beside him trying to grab his arm, but she kept failing every ti as the handso-looking man dodged her moves every ti.
"Well... things are indeed getting more chaotic than I thought..."
Zion looked at the people around him and noticed that everyone was in a panicked state and fear was etched on their faces.
The increasing miasma in the air was driving people’s emotions crazy everywhere, and the decreasing presence of mana in the air was driving everyone towards madness.
Zion looked at the sky and sighed deeply.
"We don’t have enough ti... the disaster ca even more earlier than I expected... Those abominable mbers of the false do cult are really hateful beings!"
As a hero, Zion never hated anyone and liked to care about all lives, but for the first ti in his life, he has co to hate an organization this much.
The False Do Cult has put the safety of the entire world on the line; they have beco an enemy of the entire world and have committed a cri that is so unforgivable that even death cannot offset their punishnt.
Zion gritted his teeth, walked with Luche, and watched the entirety of humanity descend into madness.
"I knew this will happen soday, but to think that this day will co so soon... sigh..."
Zion has tried everything; he’s searched the entire solar system over and over but never managed to find a way out.
He’s the one who’s been silently trying to find a way of salvation for the entire world but hasn’t found anything as of yet.
Unlike Jareth, his goal is saving the entire planet, and he can’t escape alone.
There were thousands of doubts and questions in his mind, and he didn’t even know whether his plan would succeed or not.
He clenched his fists and gritted his teeth in frustration as he looked at the people who were losing themselves to madness and attacking each other.
*SHMMMMMM!!!*
Just when Zion was feeling frustrated, Jareth powerful aura spread in all directions.
Every being in the capital city and in the entire nation looked in the sa direction at the sa ti, including Zion and Luche too.
The increasing mana density was suppressed forcefully for the ti being, and all beings stopped descending into miasmic embrace.
"There he is... he’s inviting to co to him..."
Zion knew exactly why Jareth was revealing himself to the world at this mont; Jareth knew that Zion would co looking for him, and that’s why he had already set a battlefield for them both.
"Are you going? Do you need my help?"
Zion shook his head at Luche’s question.
"No, I will settle this matter with him myself. You go look for those d*mned cultists; stop them from doing anything if they dare co here!"
Just like Zion and Luche, the cultists will surely also co to the capital city, Delta.
The only person who stands a chance to stop their plans is here; to completely defeat all resistance against them, the cult mbers will surely co to deal with Jareth and everyone else once they are ready.
*BOOOM!*
Zion didn’t care whether Luche was going to obey his orders or not; he flew in the air and launched towards Jareth.
His speed was so fast that it was as if he was teleporting, and he reached Jareth in a matter of milliseconds.
He didn’t close the distance and just stood facing Jareth a few dozen ters away.
"So, what have you decided, my friend? Will you still follow your own ideals, or will you help ?"
Zion did not want to fight Jareth, who seed to have beco even stronger than before.
And he knew that even if the two of them fought, the one who would erge victorious would be too exhausted and weak to deal with the False Do Cult later on.
To Zion’s question, Jareth replied with unwavering determination and confidence.
"Back then, I was not sure if my plan would succeed; that’s why I could not fight you with all my heart... today, I can say for sure, that my plan would succeed..."
"I will not help you Zion Reid. I know that your ideals are futile and your plan will not succeed... you want to confine humanity inside the planet..."
Jareth looked straight into Zion’s eyes, used mana to enchant his voice and spoke with absolute confidence.
"I was not sure about whether your plan was bad before, but today, I can say exactly that your plan is futile, and it will not succeed!"
"Zion U’lbyatre! I ask you! Instead of clinging to that pathetic excuse of a plan, work with . I have prepared a better option; I have prepared a better ’future’ for the entire planet!"
"I have prepared a ’Secret Weapon’ to save the entire planet’s hope! As a hero, you should understand that it’s your duty to not be an obstacle in the survival of the world..."
Jareth’s words were enchanted with mana, and he had used a forbidden skill that made it so that Jareth could only speak the ’truth.’
This shook Zion to the core; he also knew this ’Forbidden Magic.’ It was a magic that forced the user to speak only the ’Truth,’ and if the user said anything that was ’False,’ the user would die imdiately.
Zion was shocked that Jareth openly claid that Zion’s plan was going to fail and he did not receive any backlash from the spell.
That ant that Jareth was telling the absolute truth.
"You... what do you know..."
Jareth took a deep breath and replied in a solemn tone,
"I have seen what I need to... I know now that the ’Sea of Endless Miasma’ has the power to instantly shatter planets and even stars alike..."
"Your plan to confine people in a small seal will not succeed, as the entire planet will soon be shattered by the ’Sea of Endless Miasma’..."
Zion’s beliefs were shaken to the core, and he felt despair take hold of his heart once again.
"T-then... how are you going to-"
Jareth shook his head at Zion’s questioning tone and spoke calmly.
"I can not tell you yet what the ’secret weapon’ I have prepared is, but if you can trust , I can help you see the world walk towards a better ’future.’ I also want to save as many people as I can..."
Just when Zion was hesitating whether to believe Jareth or not, a powerful spatial fluctuation spread in all directions.
A massive magic circle appeared in the sky above the capital, and a man wearing a weird dark robe with reddish linings appeared a few dozen ters away from Jareth and Zion via teleportation.
"Hoh, now that’s an interesting conversation... I would like to hear more about it~..."
A wide grin appeared on the man’s face as hundreds of similarly clothed individuals appeared behind him from the teleportation circle.
"Don’t think you can start the party without ; I, Rahnan, am the great king of the coming era!!"
