[Basic Magic: Mana Beam!]
[Basic Magic: Shield of Deflection!]
As if the two of them could read each other's minds, they cast their magic at the exact sa ti, and both used basic magic as the first move!
Jareth fired a mana beam, and Zion used his basic magic to deflect that beam. The mana beam hit the shield and flew away in a different direction, as if it were a ray of light that got reflected by a mirror easily.
Jareth wasn't much surprised by that though; he has fought this guy before, and he knows how much pain in the A*s this guy's fighting style is.
Jareth didn't use the 'chant less' skill, as the magic becos weaker if you don't use chants to strengthen it, and in a fight between peak powerhouses like them, even the slightest weakness is fatal.
[Basic Magic: Float!]
[Basic Magic: Mana Shield!]
Jareth cast the float magic and flew into the air, then used a mana shield to protect himself.
Zion, on the other hand, pointed his hand at himself before casting his magic.
[Grade-5 Light Magic: Blessing of the Divine Light!]
Zion's body started to glow with a silver radiance as he jumped into the sky and started to fly at an extrely high speed.
He blessed his body with light, and since light can easily travel through the sky, he beca capable of doing so. In fact, his speed was so fast that he could reach Mach 10 as easily as breathing!
Even Jareth was astonished at that speed, as even with mana singularity, his float magic is still not that fast.
'This is the most troubleso part of light magic; this type of magic is extrely fast!'
Not only the speed of the attacks, but the cast speed of light magic is extrely fast; it's much faster than any other type of magic.
You can cast grade-1 light type spells in five tis less ti as other types of magic spells; this is the horror of a light type mage!
[Grade-3 Light Magic: Heavenly Divine Light Bombardnt!]
*BOOM!* *BOOM!*
Zion extended his hand upwards, causing a colossal magic circle to materialize. Its chant swiftly concluded, initiating a barrage of imnse light beams.
Moreover, these beams were all targeting Jareth, and as their speed is quite fast, it's really difficult to compete with them.
[Grade-4 Fire Magic: Flas of Absorption!]
Jareth's grimoire shone, and he covered himself in flas. The beams of light hit him directly but were not able to do any damage; his true flas easily absorbed them all, and then Jareth redirected them toward Zion!
Zion was taken aback by Jareth's move for a second, but then he gritted his teeth and a focused look appeared on his face.
*BOOM!*
Zion waved his hand and slapped away the beams of light, directly parrying them with his own bare hands!
Only a small scratch appeared on his arm, and the sleeve of his coat was torn apart by that attack, but it didn't have much effect on him.
"You dare use my own spells against , Jareth? That won't work on !"
[Grade-2 Light Magic: Explosion Type: Shockwave of Destructive Light!]
Zion aid his wand towards Jareth, who was flying in the sky, and then cast another magic spell.
A magic circle the size of a skyscraper appeared, and a gigantic ball made of condensed light elents rushed out of the magic circle.
Looking at that massive ball of light, Jareth imdiately cast his own counterasure.
[Grade-3 Fire Magic: Wall of True Flas!]
Jareth quickly covered his eyes and hid behind the wall of condensed true flas.
However, a millisecond's delay caused that massive ball of light to burst, making the entire area incredibly bright.
It was as if a nuke had burst apart nearby.
An extrely powerful shockwave spread in all directions, and everything beca so bright and hot that if Jareth had not covered his eyes, he would have gone blind in an instant.
However, due to a millisecond delay, the small-scale nuke struck Jareth, causing him to lose his vision for a split second.
His body is as strong as a peak grade-2 martial artist, so he recovered fast, and it only took him a single second to make a full recovery.
But in a fight of peak powerhouses, a single second is already a big gap; a re single second of delay is extrely fatal.
Zion moved his wand and carved out a dragon with mana in the air.
[Chant or Chant less, Decay or Decay-less!]
[Grade-1 Light Magic: Dragon of Light and Emptiness!]
Extending your magic spell chant on purpose is a technique that is used to enhance the power and damage of your magic.
This kind of technique is only usable by grade 1 or higher-level people, and it creates a situation of equivalent exchange in the battle.
You purposely increase the length of the chant, giving you the opportunity to escape and react to your opponent in exchange for extra damage and power for your spell.
This is basically an exchange made with mana and your enemy without asking for any permission or consent. Stay updated through My Virtual Library Empire
This kind of technique has a lethal disadvantage; you can't use it when your opponent is in a perfect state of mind and has their full control over the mana.
But Jareth right now had lost his perfect state of mind due to the sudden bombardnt of bright light for a single second, and Zion used that ti to purposely strengthen his spell.
A magic circle so big that it seed to have touched the edge of the realm of consciousness appeared in front of Zion.
It consud a massive amount of mana, and just the presence of that spell made the realm of consciousness tremble like crazy.
The golden nail is already broken, so the realm of consciousness is unstable. Using too much magic here will harm the realm of consciousness and may even cause it to shatter completely.
But Zion didn't have any other choice; in his whole life, he has never t soone who was giving such an insane sensation of 'death' to Zion as Jareth was.
Zion has an insane perception ability, unlike mindless beasts like Konda and less perception-focused entities like the cyclops that Jareth fought before.
Zion can sense that Jareth definitely has sothing on him that can pose a fatal threat to his life, and he doesn't want to give Jareth the chance to use that item so as to win this battle.
What Zion's perception was sensing as a threat was Jareth's 'Attack Enhancent Card'; he could sense its threat with his intuition, and he was trying to end the battle fast so that Jareth wouldn't have the chance to use it.
That's why he used this highest-level magic so early in the fight.
A gigantic dragon made out of light elentals ca out of the magic circle and opened its massive jaw to swallow Jareth and completely destroy him.
As if sensing the threat of that spell, Jareth didn't waste any ti either.
[Are you sure you want to use the 'Attack enhancent card'?]
[Yes or No!]
'Yes'
[Ding! You have used the 'Attack enhancent Card (Advanced)'!]
[Your next attack will be enhanced by 500 tis!]
Jareth knew that even with mana singularity and pure mana, Jareth's mana shield definitely can't defend against that attack from Zion.
As he himself doesn't have a grade-1 magic spell in his arsenal, it was futile to use any other spell to counter it.
Although Zion had only used a grade-1 spell, not only did he use the powerful technique of enlarging the chant, he even used the power of the 'Law' of 'Light' with that spell 'partially'.
Thus, that spell was at the level of 'Semi-grade-0' while still having the power of a 'law' along with it!
Jareth could still have countered that spell if not for the power of the 'law'.
Although his own spells are blessed with the 'Law' of 'True Flas' now, he has only learned this power just recently, and Zion, on the other hand, has been practicing it for centuries!
Thus, Jareth made a quick decision; he calculated everything in a matter of re milliseconds and directly figured out the perfect counter.
[Mana Command: Extre Mana Flow!]
[Grade-2 Fire Magic: Flight of the Eternal Phoenix!]
Mana condensed to the point of becoming rock solid, and a gigantic phoenix ca out of the magic circle created by Jareth to counter Zion's attack.
Now that it was enhanced 500 tis, it was so strong that its re presence was causing cracks in the realm of consciousness.
The realm of consciousness couldn't bear the massive presence of two semi-grade-0 level spells at the sa ti, and it started to crumble instantly.
But Jareth and Zion didn't care; they both increased their mana output and nearly poured all of their mana into their respective attacks.
The spells hit each other, and a massive collision happened.
As if two planets had collided with each other, the explosion was so powerful that the realm of consciousness couldn't withstand it anymore, and the half-broken golden nail broke apart on the spot and turned into complete powder.
Jareth and Zion were both thrown out of the realm of consciousness along with the hidden item located in the hidden chamber.
Zion's right half of the body was completely scorched black, and a look of extre pain was etched on his face.
In the last mont, he used the 'law' of 'Light' to barely protect himself from dying; otherwise, Jareth's attack would have killed him on the spot.
Jareth was not faring well either; his mana shield had broken, and the giant dragon of light had burst apart at the final mont, firing out gigantic rays of light.
Jareth was struck by several blows, resulting in severe injuries throughout his body, including the loss of his left arm, which is currently gushing blood.
