"So this is it… As expected, it's quite hidden…"
After hours of searching, Jareth finally found the location that he was looking for.
The exact thing that he wants to find can't be 'tracked' with mana detection, so he had to resort to detecting the things that exist near 'that' chance.
And due to the interference of the trace of 'Divine Power', it was extrely hard for Jareth to find this place.
Even grade 1 mages won't be able to find this place with their mana detection; Jareth only found it with the help of 'Mana Singularity'.
'Let's go!'
Jareth stopped hesitating and imdiately landed on the sand.
This place is located nearly a hundred kiloters away from Bastille, and thus it's still the deepest area of the desert of chaotic thunder.
But as it's dayti right now, Jareth didn't need to worry too much; moreover, he could resist the thunder with his mana shield, so there were no threats to his life.
He brought out his grimoire from his space ring and placed his hand on the ground.
Then he embedded a bit of mana in the ground, and sure enough, a massive magic circle appeared at that mont.
'It's just a re grade-5 illusion barrier; even a novice can break through it…'
With just a small amount of mana, Jareth directly seized control of the mana circle and deactivated it easily.
The illusion disappeared, and the ground suddenly rumbled a bit as if so kind of chanism had been activated.
The desert sand was pushed aside, and a square box made up of tal rose from the ground.
It would have been impossible to track down the trace of 'Divine Power' even with the help of 'Mana Singularity', so Jareth chose a different thod.
He decided to detect the mana fluctuations coming from that low grade illusion placed here, and sure enough, when he deactivated the illusion, this crudely made tal lift ca up to take him.
Jareth entered the lift without hesitation after its doors opened for him.
'It's smaller compared to the ga…'
In the ga, you would be able to find this lift during a hidden mission found in Bastille.
But Jareth has no idea where to find that particular NPC who gave the mission in the ga.
This is a real world now; an NPC won't just keep standing in one place and waiting for the player character to co and help them with their quest.
Moreover, Jareth currently has no extra ti to waste on helping so random NPC.
With his notorious reputation, it will take extrely long to win the other party's trust and then ask them to bring him to this place.
This world is real, and the people that live here have their own feelings and thoughts, so obviously the NPC responsible for handing out this quest will also have their own thoughts.
Jareth didn't want to waste his ti, so he directly ignored the first step of taking the quest from the NPC and went directly to find this location himself.
Anyway, he's a villain, and he doesn't need to please anyone at all; he's not interested in brushing the favorability of others to do things.
So, he directly located this lift and entered without an invitation.
Although it's quite rude to barge into soone's house without permission, Jareth doesn't care as this is the only way to properly locate that trace of 'Divine Power'.
The lift slowly went down, and the illusion activated on its own. The place was covered with sand, and everything returned to normal after a while.
Jareth, who knew about it all, didn't care much, as he knew that this illusion barrier was just a low-grade protective asure and wasn't worth caring about.
Moreover, it's in his control now, so there's no need to think too much about it.
The lift was crudely made, and it trembled over and over while slowly descending.
It didn't even have the option to choose floors, which ans that this lift can only go up and down and has a limited number of destinations.
After a few minutes of descending, the lift finally stopped in place with a loud 'clank' sound.
'This lift itself is so poorly made; it's making such loud sounds even though it has to carry only one person… This clearly shows that it won't last long…'
Although Jareth noticed this problem, he didn't think about it for too long. The lift has nothing to do with him, and it's not his responsibility to repair it, so there was no need to think about it much.
The doors of the lift opened with loud 'creaking' sounds, and Jareth walked out with the usual cold look on his face.
What appeared was a small underground town. He could see children playing on the streets and adults going on with their work.
The place that the lift opened was located on much higher ground, and the underground village is located on much lower ground than this place.
A small staircase leads down from this cliff to the entrance of the village, where a frail old man is sitting on a chair as a guard.
Jareth glanced up and figured out that this place is a naturally ford cave.
'In the ga, it's told that this place used to be a mine a hundred years ago, but it was abandoned for so reason…'
That nearly broken lift was also installed a hundred years ago, and due to the lack of maintenance, it's in bad shape now.

Jareth walked downstairs and slowly made his way to the entrance of the underground village.
The old man sitting at the entrance as a guard suddenly noticed Jareth and said,
"Ensha? You're back so early? Didn't you say you have sothing important to do outside and won't return for a while?"
Hearing that question, Jareth suddenly rembered that the na of the key NPC that gives you the quest for this area was 'Ensha'; that woman is the strongest and most talented mage in this hidden village.
Even without the help of any teachers, she was able to reach grade 5 just by reading so books and past records.
This shows that she's quite talented.
The original Jareth had the resources of the 'Great Ivan's higher Arcane University', but he wasn't even a proper grade-5 mage after all those years of training.
When Jareth didn't reply for a while and was lost in thought, the old man frowned a bit and asked again.
"Ensha? What happened?"
Jareth used his mana detection and noticed that the old man is blind and can't see; moreover, his one leg is missing too, which ans he's disabled.
'Sigh, a war veteran who sacrificed so much for the sake of his city… got reduced to this state… Life sure is strange…'
Jareth shook his head and said,
"I am not Ensha; I am Jareth Ayad, a humble mage…"
The old man hadn't been to the outside world for years, so he didn't know about Jareth's reputation.
But he was surprised to hear the voice of an unfamiliar person.
"Eh? This place is quite hidden; how did you find this place? Uh… we are just poor village folk; I don't think there's anything interesting here to attract a mage like you here…"
Jareth just nodded his head at those words and replied in a calm voice.
"It's not that I ca here to find you people in your village… I accidentally noticed the existence of an illusion barrier and ca over due to curiosity…"
"Don't mind , I will just wander around for a while and leave…"
Although the old man has regressed in strength and has beco immobile, he once used to be a grade-4 warrior, and thus he still has the ability to detect the aura of others.
He frowned a bit after he wasn't able to see through Jareth's aura, and a solemn look appeared on his face.
'I can't even feel a single mana fluctuation from him… This guy is… ridiculously strong… oh god! Where did such a monster co from in our small village!?…'
The old man dared not be rude to Jareth, and he imdiately waved his hand and said,
"Haha, no need to be humble; although we don't have much to offer, I sincerely welco you to our village…"
Although the old man was saying that with a smile, his heart was already filled with fear and anxiousness.
'I need to send a ssage to Ensha fast; only she has been to the outside world in recent tis, she might know more about this person…'
Jareth didn't stop the old man from secretly using that low-grade artifact to send a distress signal to Ensha.
If he wanted, he could just block that signal with his mana, but he didn't do that as there was no need for that.
He didn't co here to ss with this village; he will just do his work and leave on his own. There's no need to create an unnecessary conflict.
With that thought in his mind,.
Jareth entered the village with his arms behind his back and the usual cold expression on his face.
