Mark was happy to learn new things, but he was confused as to why Jareth would go out of his way to just invite the two of them to follow him around.
Jareth looked into Mark's eyes and said in a calm tone,
"Simply because you are talented, as your teacher, I want to see how far you can grow…"

Jareth was planning to hit two birds at the sa ti. He will go to the desert for so important business and will take Mark and Risa too so that they can train to be stronger.
In the ga, Aiza used to despise and talk badly of Jareth a lot, so Jareth doesn't like her much, so he doesn't want to add her to the team.
Just looking at her face makes him annoyed as he rembers the past of the original Jareth.
If not for all that, Jareth would have added her to the team, as she's a good fire mage.

Instead of relying on a person that Jareth can't trust, it's better for him to beco strong himself.

Hearing the answer from Jareth, Mark left the office with Risa with a happy smile on his face.
Jareth is known for his cold and strict nature, and for him to praise Mark ans he is genuinely impressed by Mark's talent and hard work.
Mark didn't know that Jareth wanted him to beco strong for his own sake, so he misunderstood Jareth's intentions and thought that Jareth had a lot of expectations for Mark.
And Mark doesn't want to betray those expectations; he wants to prove that he's worthy of praise.
Just when Mark was busy thinking about all this in his mind, Risa suddenly said,
"See, didn't I tell you that I didn't do anything wrong, You just don't believe at all!"
Hearing those words, Mark scratched the back of his neck in embarrassnt and said,
"Ah, that… uh.. I am sorry for doubting you… You know, when you pull up a lot of pranks, it becos hard to believe you… So you should stop pranking , okay?"
Risa imdiately shook her head and said,
"No way! That's impossible! Pulling pranks on you is my fundantal right!! If my demands go unanswered, I will protest!
Seeing the stubborn look on Risa's face, Mark sighed and said,
"Sigh, do whatever you like… not like you are going to listen to ..."
Mark suddenly rembered sothing and asked,
"By the way, I heard that your cousins who are in the third year beat up one of our classmates?"
Hearing those words, Risa contemplated for a mont and said,
"Er… I seem to have heard that rumor too, but I can't rember who they beat up…"
"oh wait! I rember it was that shady-looking guy! What was his na… er… It was Al… Alem or sothing, I guess?"
Mark frowned a bit and asked,
"Al? That's the first ti I've heard that na? There isn't anyone in our class with that na, you know… Ah! Are you referring to that guy, Allen!"
"Oh, he seems like a decent guy; why would they beat him up?"
Mark doesn't know much about Allen, as he has never even spoken to him once before, but he seems like a decent person from a distance, so Mark was surprised when he heard that the third-year students beat him up.
"Well, you know that my cousins are just straight-up hooligans who have crushes on random girls, and they can't tolerate soone talking to the girls they like, so he likely talked to one of their crushes and then got beat up…"
"Seriously, those guys are so overprotective…"
Risa glanced at Mark and narrowed her eyes.
'You should be a bit more concerned about too, you know… just like them...'
Risa really wanted to say that she also wanted Mark to be as concerned about her as her cousins are about their crush, but she didn't say that as it seed too weird to say out loud.
"Sigh, if they keep doing things like that, they will get expelled from the university… Breaking up your juniors isn't a good thing…"
Mark doesn't really care about these things.
Once, they actually tried to ss with Mark too, but Mark beat the living daylights out of them, so they beca more respectful in front of him.
Unlike Mark and Risa, they are not that talented and thus aren't very strong.
Two of them are at the peak of grade 4, and one is in early grade 3, but even then, Mark can still beat the sh*t out of them with just one hand, so he isn't really afraid of them.
"Forget it; not like we have anything to do with it…"
Seeing that Mark went silent, Risa suddenly said,
"Uh, you know, you need to apologize to for doubting … so.. er.. how about going on a date?"
Hearing those words, Mark suddenly rembered that the last date they went on was quite fun, so he nodded his head and agreed.
"Okay, when we go to the cities in the desert with Vice-Principal Jareth, we can take so ti off from training and enjoy so free…"
"It's not every day that you get to go to such faraway locations…"
Risa was so happy after hearing those words that she made her favorite poisonous tea that day and drank it with a happy smile on her face.
(She's immune to low-grade poisons and actually likes to drink them as mango juice or sothing…. The reason she can co up with new poisons on the spot is because she can taste them to check how lethal they are…)

"Hmm, indeed, there really can be so clues hidden about the false do cult…"
Thomas, who just arrived a few minutes ago, found out that Jareth wanted to take a leave to go to the desert of chaotic thunder to find so clues on the 'False Do Cult'.
"Yes, when I defeated that woman nad Zero in Artavia, she was saying sothing about the desert, so it's a good idea to go there and investigate things…"
"If we can find so leads on the 'False Do Cult', it would be beneficial for the university…"
The False Do Cult has been trying to destroy the university again and again. They are very relentless in their attacks, and if an attack like Abella's happens again, the university will suffer more damage.
Last ti, they asked Reynald to pay up the cost of repairing the university, but now they don't have the ans to repair it if sothing happens again.
So, it's better to stay a step ahead of the enemy and find out their whereabouts before they attack again.
Thomas imdiately agreed with Jareth's words and stated,
"Good, you should take a look to confirm the clues; there is no need to worry about the paperwork, and I can handle everything easily…"
Jareth himself never does any paper work anyway; Thomas is the one who is running the university alone on his own, so Jareth can just easily go anywhere without worrying about losing his job for being absent.
'Man, I love this vice principal job. I can get paid for going on trips and doing no work at all. That's such an amazing thing…'
While Jareth was contemplating in his mind, Thomas took the papers that were placed on the desk and said,
"I will take them ho to finish things up; I have not ti to waste; a cousin's wedding is coming soon, so I gotta go…"
With that said, Thomas left the principle room in a hurry.

So random person took the effort to write a complaint letter to the principal just to help out Allen; this is pure plot armor.

Jareth used the main computer of the university and typed a letter with an evil smirk on his face.
On the letter he wrote,
[For harassing a female student and getting into a fight with three upperclassn, Student Allen is suspended for 15 days!]
'Hehe, as a villain it would be such a sha if I don't take benefit of your montary weakness…'
Jareth sent the letter via email to Allen directly and then sent it to the chat group too and used the main computer to do it all; in other words, Thomas would be responsible for this all!
'Allen, my friend, I hope you like this gift I made for you with great care…'
