One of them was the original Jareth's own theory book that he had written and given to the principal to get into the university without any problems.

The original Jareth gave this theory to Nathan, as he didn't have powerful enough mana control to complete his own theory, but now things are different.

If Jareth didn't know the reality of this world, he wouldn't have cared about this theory at all, as he would have no reason or motivation to create a catastrophic weapon of war.
