Shentu Jing turned to look at Qin Zhuzhu, who had been silently staring at him the entire ti.

When their gazes t, her heart jumped in her chest, and she quickly turned away, nearly bumping her head against the window.

"Ah!"

A strong hand shielded her head from the impact. The hand gently turned her face, making her look into his eyes.

"If you want to stare, you can stare freely. I’ll let you look," Shentu Jing said, his tone dangerously soft.

Qin Zhuzhu chuckled awkwardly and waved her hands.

"There’s no need. I’d rather look at you when you’re asleep than awake," she joked, but he took it seriously.

"Why?" He stroked her hair and leaned closer to her face.

"At least you won’t look like you want to eat up every single ti," Qin Zhuzhu tilted her head with a mischievous smile. Shentu Jing was taken aback by her response.

"Boss, we’ve arrived," Han Juexian announced.

Qin Zhuzhu pushed his hand away and looked out the window.

"This is..." She shifted her gaze from the handso man beside her to the spectacular scenery in front of her.

Leaves fell and danced as the wind gently carried them through the air. Birds sang and perched on the green trees. In the background, towering mountains radiated majesty and awe, resembling a celestial and immortal dwelling.

Qin Zhuzhu got out of the car and walked forward, spreading her arms and inhaling the fresh air. mories flooded her as she recalled how her grandpa used to carry her on his strong shoulders.

Shentu Jing stood by her side, watching her happily take in the beautiful view. His gaze softened, and emotions flickered in his eyes.

"Do you like it?"

"I do. How did you find this place?" Qin Zhuzhu turned to look at Shentu Jing, their eyes eting. The way he looked at her at that mont... Qin Zhuzhu couldn’t quite place it, but she felt as though she had known him before. His eyes seed oddly familiar the longer she looked.

"My mom used to bring here," Shentu Jing reached out and took her small, slender hands in his.

He looked at her with utter seriousness. Qin Zhuzhu suddenly felt nervous. What is he trying to do? Is he going crazy again?

The sun was beginning to set, casting an orange glow over the hill they stood on. It felt as though they had stepped into a painting, a fairytale, a scene from the heavens—a phoenix and a dragon overlooking the vast world.

Shentu Jing gazed over the hill, the orange glow illuminating one side of his face, making his profile resemble an angel fallen from heaven.

"Your mom?"

Shentu Jing nodded.

"Accompany to watch the sunset," he said, his tone carrying a deep lancholy.

"Okay," Qin Zhuzhu replied softly.

He must have lost his mother at a young age. It must have been very painful. Qin Zhuzhu couldn’t imagine the pain he had endured. When she looked at his family, they seed warm and welcoming. Although they bickered and played pranks on each other, they always laughed it off by the end of the day.

It was hard to imagine a rich and powerful family where the mbers didn’t fight or kill each other for wealth and power.

Or were they just pretending in front of ?

She had thought about it many tis. Shentu Ling might not like her, but that seed normal.

A man and woman sat on the hill, watching the sun go down as it cast its last splendid rays on Earth. Shentu Jing held her hands tightly, as if she would disappear the mont he let go.

Qin Zhuzhu didn’t think much of it. She simply thought he needed emotional support.

Han Juexian watched his boss and his new lady boss with a smile. The sunset was truly stunning. If only I weren’t alone and had a girlfriend to share this with.

Qin Zhuzhu leaned her head against Shentu Jing’s strong shoulder. He hesitated for a mont but then gathered his courage and slowly wrapped his arm around her shoulders, pulling her closer.

A smile spread across his face, warming his once cold and lifeless heart.

Should I propose to her? He wanted her as his real wife, but he was nervous, fearing she might reject him.

Her marriage with Xu ng must have left a scar on her.

Secretly, he longed for their relationship to be real, not based on a contract or agreent.
