The three of them had a lot of fun ti taking silly pictures. Then Shentu Jing insisted on taking photos with Qin Zhuzhu alone. Peixuan Ruxi instructed them on how to pose, even asking them to pretend to kiss like in a drama photoshoot.
"Wow! These are all perfect! One day I got to take Sanya and Ah Nian here!" Qin Zhuzhu swiped through the photos happily.
"You can take a walk outside and take pictures over the bridge too. But before night ti, you have to return the costus," the staff said.
"Okay! Thanks!" Qin Zhuzhu said. Her costu was much simpler than the two n. She had a sword by her waist, so prop darts and a wine gourd hanging on the other side of her waist.
"I’ve got sothing to do! I’ll go over there and play by myself," Peixuan Ruxi gave Shentu Jing a wink and sprinted off.
"I wonder what he’s up to," she bit into the cotton candy. The soft candy reminded her of the ti when Shentu Jing first bought cotton candy for her and kissed her. That kiss was soft and sweet. Until now, it beca part of an unforgettable mory.
Walking side by side with Shentu Jing felt as if she was on a date with him. Qin Zhuzhu sneaked a few glances at him.
When Shentu Jing noticed her gaze on him and looked back at her, she quickly turned away and pretended to be busy with her food.
His lips curved into a smile. Then he picked her up in a princess carry.
"Hey! Shentu Jing! What are you doing?!" She instinctively wrapped her arms around his strong neck.
"Nothing. I just caught a naughty assassin trying to kill with her eyes. Tell , what should I do?" He teased, leaning in towards her face.
"I... Uh..." Qin Zhuzhu couldn’t help but blushed. "Kill her?"
"Kill her? Too easy. I won’t let that assassin off," Shentu Jing rubbed his nose against hers. Electricity coursed through her from that sudden touch and her ears turned red.
"S.. Shentu Jing..." Qin Zhuzhu’s tongue felt stiff. She gazed up into those peach blossom eyes, fiery and dark.
Shentu Jing leaned closer, his lips just 2 cm from hers. Qin Zhuzhu quickly put the cotton candy between them, hiding her lips and half of her face behind it.
She peeked at him with shy eyes like that of a high school girl. Shentu Jing chuckled. With a wave of a hand, he tossed that obstacle away and captured her lips.
The girl’s lips were taken by his soft gentle kiss. Her hands unknowingly fisted his clothes as he slid his tongue inside, sweeping over her teeth and gums. Then the kiss beca harder and rougher, Shentu Jing nibbled on her bottom lips and his tongue brushed against her swollen lips.
Finally he pulled up for air, chest heaving and staring down at her lovingly.
Qin Zhuzhu’s ears were the colour of tomatoes and her foxy eyes were in a daze. She could only stared up into his eyes, still clinging onto him as if her life depended on it.
Shentu Jing put her down. Her heart was thumping wildly in her chest.
Ahhhh! Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! I’m going to go insane! Her mind was screaming internally.
Shentu Jing bent down a little. He brushed a fingertip over her lips.
"Little Pearl, in the future, don’t bla if I taste your lips again. I have been starving for a long ti," he gazed at her so intensely, his tone possessive and domineering.
Qin Zhuzhu: "..."
Then she turned and ran away from him. Shentu Jing watched his little Pearl ran off, then after a few minutes he ran after her.
Old Master Shentu sat on the bench, holding a tanghulu in his hand. He was reminded of the good old days when he used to secretly sneak tanghulus to his old lover.
He heard a familiar laughter and turned in that direction. The back view of a man and a woman in costus were chatting and laughing, holding tanghulus and cotton candies.
Sohow, that back looked familiar. Old Master Shentu shook his head. Was he starting to hallucinate? Then who was that at the hospital? He clearly saw Shentu Jing, even Shentu Dong and Mingye saw him clearly.
Old Master Shentu had thought of asking or monitoring Shentu Chu because that lookalike Shentu Jing appeared when Shentu Chu was injured. But then Shentu Chu disappeared and the wedding was running ruined. Why was Shentu Chu injured?
Back then, he promised her to look after Shentu Chu and make sure he ca to no harm. Yet, old master Shentu felt like he let her down instead. There was a hidden reason why he didn’t let Shentu Chu inherit any of the Shentu family’s properties and shares.
Before he could approach that man and woman, Shentu Ling ca over to him with so herbal tea.
"Grandpa, what are you looking at?"
"Nothing. I was thinking of Ah Jing," the old man sighed.
"Grandpa, don’t think too much. Let’s take a walk," she hooked her hands around his arm and lead him to a shady area. The purpose of this trip was to make him happier and healthier.
Recently, many things have happened in Shengjing that affected the old man’s health. Her people reported to her that Shentu Chu was in the hospital before he went to the wedding.
Why was he in the hospital? And at that ti, grandpa, Mingye and her father were there too. Yet they didn’t tell her anything.
Old Master Shentu sat down to rest under the tree.
"Why are you stopping? The doctors said you must move your legs more," Shentu Ling was worried.
"Don’t worry about . I’m still healthy. Go get sothing to eat," the old man waved his granddaughter away.
"Okay," Shentu Ling nodded and left to find sothing nutritious for the old man.
He was all alone now. The old man looked up at the skies. So many years, so much conflicts.
"Grandpa?" A voice snapped him out of his thoughts.
