"Stop!" A female voice sounded throughout the house.
Third Madam Qiao turned to see Qiao Nian making her way down the stairs. Qiao Nian’s eyes flashed with hints of annoyance.
But when her eyes t with Qin Zhuzhu’s, imdiately recognizing her as the girl whom Shentu Chu called sister in law on the bridge that day, she soften and smiled.
Third Madam Qiao waved Qiao Nian over impatiently, seeing an opportunity to cause displeasure.
"Ah Nian, this is the ridiculous woman who wants to break up the marriage between you and Shentu Chu," Qiao Nian’s mother complained, it seems like she wanted Qiao Nian to take her side.
"Chase her out. She is the one who wants to ruin your happiness," Third Madam Qiao had a haughty look across her face.
Qiao Nian nodded to Qin Zhuzhu in greeting. Then she turned to her mother.
"Mom, I don’t want to get married,"

"Ah Nian! Ah Nian!" Third Madam Qiao called before she sighed angrily.
Realizing that Qin Zhuzhu had been watching their family drama, she snapped, "What are you waiting for? Leave! This marriage is settled!"
Qin Zhuzhu couldn’t get anything out of her so she could only play so tricks.
"Fine. But don’t bla for what happens next,"
"Bitch!" Third Madam Qiao cursed as she walked off.
When she left, Third Madam Qiao texted soone on her phone.
The wedding was tomorrow. She started to beco more and more anxious. She had to marry one of her daughters to Shentu Chu to take it.
Qiao Pulan couldn’t be the bride because she was already married. She couldn’t bear to marry Qiao Tong so in the end, she had to sacrifice her dumbest daughter, Qiao Nian.

Shentu Chu was walking around the ward, playing with his phone. Luo Yue suddenly called at that mont.
"Sir, Third Madam Qiao wants to see you," Luo Yue said.

"Nice to et you, Shentu Chu," Third Madam Qiao smiled at him.
That smile seed to be hiding sothing sinister. Shentu Chu smiled back.
"Hello, how can I help you?"
"Tomorrow is your big day. Congratulations. As your future mother in law, I’m here to visit you,"
Shentu Chu could already guessed her original intentions. Wasn’t it because she was afraid that he would run away?
Shentu Chu decided to see what was she playing at. What tricks did she have to stop him from running from the wedding?

Third Madam Qiao chuckled, a soft belittling one.

Shentu Chu almost froze on spot but he quickly regained his composure and acted like nothing happened.

"He’s in my hands. If you want to see him, you’ll have to do as I say," Third Madam Qiao’s expression suddenly turned vicious.
"Killing and kidnapping soone, then threatening and blackmailing. That’s three counts of charges. I can sue you," The smile disappeared from Shentu Chu’s face.
"Shentu Chu, you’re a smart person. You can choose which one is more important. The reputation of your family and company, your freedom or Shentu Mingye’s life,"
"What makes you think I cared about them? They have always treated like shit," Shentu Chu scoffed, finding it ridiculous.
Madam Qiao smiled calmly. "Then do you care? If not, why did you agree to et ?"
"I agreed because I thought you wanted to beco my mother law. I also wanted to see who’s the one trying to turn into their puppet. So it turned out to be you. It seems like you are very itchy for this marriage. Why don’t you marry instead? Won’t that be better than forcing your biological daughter? Shentu Chu smiled back.
"I’m an old woman. Are you sure you want these piece of old flesh and bones in your bed, Shentu Chu?" Madam Qiao laughed mockingly.
"Is it really about that or are you afraid of sothing else, for example, is Qiao Nian really your daughter?" Shentu Chu leaned closer.
He could sll the fear off Madam Qiao. Madam Qiao seed to stopped smiling, face stiffened. It was only for a few seconds before she burst out laughing.
"Shentu Chu, you are really funny! It’s great to have a son in law like you! This decision cannot be changed at will. You must marry Qiao Nian, no matter what,"
"What if I don’t?" Shentu Chu crossed his leg over the other.
