When Sanya woke up, she found herself in a strange place. She rubbed her blurry eyes and looked around suspiciously.

"Where is this? Have I gone to heaven from seeing a ghost? Fuck! I need to kill that ghost!"

She quickly sprang out of the bed and grabbed a vase, tiptoeing to the door. She heard footsteps from below.

The footsteps eyes approaching her room, closer and closer. When the door was pushed open, Sanya yelled and raised the vase above her head.

But before Sanya could knock the person, she imdiately recognized that familiar face.

Qin Zhuzhu looked at the vase that was inches away from her head to Sanya.

"What are you doing?" Qin Zhuzhu was holding a tray of breakfast.

"What ARE you doing? Why am I here? Did I reincarnation into another world?" Sanya blinked.

"Seriously. Sanya, I think you have read too much s that your brain isn’t working," Qin Zhuzhu pushed passed her.

Seeing Sanya reacting like this reminded Shentu Jing of Jiang Zhaoling. He followed Qin Zhuzhu and entered the room.

Sanya’s eyes almost popped out of their sockets, getting a clear view of his face.

"XiaoZhu, t..this... this.... he... isn’t he d..dead?" She stuttered, pointing at Shentu Jing.

"Well, I need to talk to you about sothing, Sanya," Qin Zhuzhu sat on the bed and motioned for Sanya to co over.

Then she told Sanya that Shentu Jing faked his death and how she discovered it.

"Shentu Jing, you dare to lie and cheat XiaoZhu, I’ll beat you up!" Sanya showed her fist to Shentu Jing.

"You can relax. In this lifeti or another, I will never let Little Pearl down," Shentu Jing said solemnly.

Sohow, Qin Zhuzhu felt her heart race in her chest when he said those words. What was happening to her? Did she need to splash cold water on her face?

"Um, I need to go and report for work," she excused herself and left the room.

Sanya squinted her eyes at Qin Zhuzhu’s back, watching her friend hastily retreat.

Sothing was going on, she thought.

Shentu Chu was fixing his cuffs when the glass of his window moved to one side. Shentu Jing jumped through the opening and landed before him.

"Hello," Shentu Jing greeted him with a dark smile.

"Aah! Why are you also breaking into my house?! Is my security that bad?" Shentu Chu yelled and waved his arms to steady himself.

He would have balanced himself if it had not been for Shentu Jing who kicked his chest.

"Ouch! Second brother, you’re too much!" Shentu Chu cried as he fell on the couch.

"Shentu Chu, you are too much. What are you doing? Playing around all day?" Shentu Jing’s voice was frighteningly cold.

"Are you saying I’m ruining the company’s image?" Shentu Chu scoffed, straightening his suit as he put on a laid back expression and smiled.

"You are. If the Shentu group lose our position in Shengjing, I won’t let you off," Shentu Jing warned him.

"Don’t go anywhere for now. Don’t appear in public," Shentu Jing looked away from his elder brother.

"What do you an? House arrest?" Shentu Chu stood up.

"I an you can’t show up at the press conference at 3pm," Shentu Jing

"Then how to avoid the press conference? It’ll arouse suspicion if I don’t go," Shentu Chu shrugged. He walked to the counter and poured so tea which he handed to Shentu Jing.

"Aren’t you smart to avoid things you don’t like?"

"I am smart. But I’m not as smart as my second brother," Shentu Chu flattered him with a smile.

"Don’t praise ," Shentu Jing said coldly.

"Fine, whatever. How are you and her getting along?"

"How are you and your fiancée getting along?" Shentu Jing countered him with a question.

"You were spying on ," Shentu Chu said pointedly instead of acting surprised.

"No, I’m just looking out for my elder brother," Shentu Jing tilted his head to one side and smiled back.

Shentu Chu shook his head. "That girl I t was Qiao Nian, did you know? Didn’t expect it was her,"

Shentu Chu sighed and went to sit beside Shentu Jing. Shentu Jing moved away from him. This scheming elder brother was hard to predict at tis.

"I want to ask you sothing. Reply to honestly," Shentu Jing turned to him.

"Okay. Ask,"

"Who do you like better, Qiao Nian or Qiao Minde?" Shentu Jing asked him with a manner of seriousness.

Shentu Chu blinked his eyes. After a few seconds of registering Shentu Jing’s words, Shentu Chu shot up from his seat.

"Second brother! What are you saying? Do you also think I’m...." Shentu Chu didn’t finish his sentence, realizing sothing at that mont.

Wait, it was all his fault for ssing up everything. He was having to much fun playing with Qiao Minde that even his own brother thought that he was gay.

"Last ti you used to think I was gay," Shentu Jing said. He seed to be implying that he was just getting back at him.

"Shentu Jing, ah, Shentu Jing, why didn’t I realize that you were this cunning?"

"You should have. Find a way to avoid the press conference,"

"By the way, when will you making an appearance?" Shentu Chu asked with a sweet brotherly smile.

"Who knows? Solve your problems first. Don’t try anything funny," within a second, Shentu Jing was gone.

An excuse to avoid the press conference? He looked around the room, trying to get an idea.

A broken leg? No, those old cunning directors will co and check in him. They might even bring a doctor.

Fake fever? No, no, no. They will ask a doctor again.

Overslept excuse? Won’t they drag him to the conference by just waking him up? That won’t work, Shentu Chu slapped his forehead.

Then his eyes landed on the tea cups, those slightly upturned eyes brightening as a crazy idea ca to his head.

SMASH!

Without hesitation, Shentu Chu smash the cup against the table with his palm.

A sharp seering pain cut through his flesh, the blood tickled down his palms and fingers

Shentu Chu hissed, taking in a deep breath. Compared to his illness, this pain was nothing.
