It was later that Shentu Jing realized his card wasn’t with him. The last he rembered it was left in the Shentu mansion, and it was Shentu Chu who ’threw’ his things out in front of everyone.

So that ans...

Shentu Chu!!!

You used my card??!!

Imdiately, Shentu Jing called Shentu Chu. Shentu Chu picked it up after the third ring.

"You used my card," Shentu Jing said coldly.

"I did! You forgot it and I wanted to give back to you but I forgot. Then I used it oo," Shentu Chu replied shalessly as if that sum of money was peanuts.

"Shentu Chu! You are exploiting !"

"Aren’t you richer than ? Don’t be so stingy. No wonder your subordinates can never do their jobs properly," Shentu Chu could imagine Han Juexian and Ding Yu who would be wearing sulking expressions on their faces.

"How can a ghost be richer?" Shentu Jing suddenly laughed.

"I have to burn paper money for that ghost!" Shentu Chu laughed back.

What was supposed to be a serious conversation turned out to be two brothers joking to each other.

"Jokes aside. How’s everything?" Shentu Jing had taken off his mask, his peach blossom eyes radiating under the moonlight. Far away, he could see the lights of a certain villa.

"Grandpa ca to visit," The joking tone in Shentu Chu’s voice was gone, and he sounded grim this ti.

"He knows?"

"He was inford late. Jing, you were right. There is soone pulling the strings in the Shentu family,"

"Have you found out who is it?"

"You Lan. The other spy I haven’t found yet. It’s not easy. Wait, aren’t you exploiting as well?"

He didn’t tell him that it was actually You Lan and Butler Zhang who were the spies. He needed to remove this two people but how? They were highly trusted, especially Butler Zhang who had been serving his grandfather for many years.

"Serves you right. Who told you to be resourceful?" Shentu Jing watched from the corner of his eyes as Han Juexian and Ding Yu fought over a ga controller.

"Do you know, we never talked to each other much back then. You never called once either. Now you are doing all of these. If it weren’t for her, then it’s for who? Jing, you have changed," Shentu Chu’s pupils glinted with a strange light.

"You are right. I’ve changed. You as well,"

"Ning Ning was spotted with your little Pearl. Did you know?"

"Ning Ning?" Shentu Jing sat up straight, eyes darkening.

"Our stepmother. I didn’t hear what she said to her. Too far. Perhaps you need to force the answer out of your little Pearl’s mouth," Shentu Chu chuckled, finding delight in seeing him in a dilemma.

Qin Zhuzhu t with Ning Ning? For what?

"Can Ning Ning really be trusted? You wanted to use her," Han Juexian asked his boss, butting into the conversation.

"Get out," Shentu Jing kicked Han Juexian.

"Ouch!"

"Shentu Chu, keep an eye on Ning Ning. She’s not as simple as we thought," Shentu Jing’s fingers tightened around the ball point pen on the desk.

"Fine. You don’t want to tell Luo Yue that you are alive? He was your trusted assistant, wasn’t he?" Shentu Chu heard a loud sound of water splashing from the other room.

"The less people know of my existence, the better it is," Shentu Jing replied.

"Shentu Chu?" The girl called softly, a head peeking around the doorfra.

Shentu Chu turned in her direction, noticing that her hair was wet.

"I have to go. See you in hell," he quickly hung up.

"Yes?" He replied.

"Do you have an extra towel or a hairdryer?" Qiao Nian looked sowhat petite and fragile wrapped in a huge white bath towel.

"In the cupboard near the dining room," he pointed.

Later, Shentu Chu walked into the living room, hanging his coat and bringing over so tea. He poured so tea for her and then took the teapot with him, sitting in a chair opposite her.

"They said that you are a pervert online?" She asked, biting her lips.

"I am a pervert," he admitted, not looking her in the eyes. Shentu Chu seed to be looking at an empty spot in the wall.

"So...." Qiao Nian looked at him

"So?" Shentu Chu looked back at her, seemingly distracted by sothing else. Then he figured out the hidden aning behind her words.

He quickly added. "I’m a pervert with principles,"

Qiao Nian: "..."

Perverts have principles? If they had principles, then why are they called perverts in the first place? Qiao Nian didn’t understand.

"Is... There such a thing?"

"Why not?" Shentu Chu put the teapot down.

Qiao Nian was speechless from his logical reasoning.

"Are you hungry?" He suddenly asked, heading over to the kitchen.

"A little," the soft voice of the girl answered.

Shentu Chu disappeared into the kitchen. Qiao Nian took the chance to take a look around his house. It was a private residence, surrounded by lush green trees and plants.

It seed like it was well taken care of by soone. The three story house had no signs of servants or even a butler. The floorboard creaked underneath her feet.

While walking around, she found a door which was locked. Curious, Qiao Nian’s slender fingers wrapped around the door knob, pushing it open a little.

"Don’t go there!" Shentu Chu suddenly called behind her.

"W...what?" From the tone in his voice, it sounded like sothing scary was hidden behind the door.

"That room is not for little girls to see,"

"Why?" She gulped, her face turning pale.

"No, no, no. That’s not what I ant," Shentu Chu waved his hands. "I ant, that room is ssy with... stuffs,"

"You might trip and fall," he chuckled, trying to clear the tense situation.

"Oh," her mouth made an ’O’ shape.

Why did he panick so easily in front of her?

"Let’s eat," Shentu Chu pulled her away from the door, glancing back at that door.
