[Chengjun]Group.
In the eting room.
Zhang Jun was in a eting with the core mbers of the group, strategizing to smoothly secure cooperation with other suppliers for Thunder Group.
The assistant paced back and forth at the door, panic written all over his face.
The legal departnt manager standing nearby couldn’t stand it anymore. At this late hour, was the assistant still worried about interrupting Zhang Jun’s eting?
He bypassed the assistant and pushed open the door of the eting room.
"Mr. Zhang, it’s bad news."
Zhang Jun had been eloquently presenting his grand plans when suddenly interrupted by his subordinate; he said with displeasure, "Haven’t I said not to disturb during etings?"
The legal departnt manager was startled by his roar, but since he was already there, he spoke plainly, "An hour ago, our overseas clients sent us a notification terminating their cooperation."
Zhang Jun thought it was a minor issue and glanced at the legal departnt manager dismissively, "Which one? If they don’t want to cooperate, then they don’t. We’ll just find another. Now, go out and close the door behind you!"
One company ceasing cooperation would not impact the group’s operations at all.
The legal departnt manager swallowed hard, "It’s not just one company. All foreign companies, led by Chaman and Kosen, have sent us faxes to terminate their cooperation."
Zhang Jun suddenly turned his head, his face changing in an instant, "Is that true? Have you confird with their corporate offices? It couldn’t be a fax sent in error, could it?"
The legal departnt manager, "No mistake, I even called to confirm."
He simply walked over and placed the faxed contracts on the table.
Zhang Jun glanced at one, and it bore the stamps of each company.
The faxes from several companies unsettled him.
He took out his phone, intending to directly call the headquarters to inquire with the senior managent on the other side.
But no one answered the call.
Looking at the many departnt managers in the eting room, Zhang Jun didn’t want to lose his composure, so he waited for the phone to connect, pretending to be calm.
The assistant, curious, asked, "Could it be Thunder Group making a move?"
"If Lin Yue had the capability, wouldn’t she have found overseas clients by now?" Zhang Jun shook his head; he didn’t believe this was Thunder Group’s counterattack.
No one answered the phone.
Zhang Jun then dialled another company’s senior managent.
Still, no answer.
He dialed three in a row.
Finally, a company that had been partnering with Chengjun for nearly ten years answered the phone.
Zhang Jun asked with a smile, "Hi, Jason, there’s sothing I want to ask you. Just an hour ago, your company sent us a fax declaring the termination of our cooperation. Are you aware of this? I’m wondering if it’s a mistake made by soone down the line?"
There was a sigh from Jason on the other end, then he responded, "I’m sorry, Zhang, this was a collective decision made by the top managent of the group, not a mistake by anybody down the line."
Zhang Jun’s smile imdiately stiffened, "But, haven’t we had pleasant cooperation over the years, and didn’t everyone make money? You’ve seen our strength in dostic distribution, isn’t it most suitable to entrust your products to our designated agency?"
Jason: "Zhang, you need to understand that I’m the CEO, but I can’t sway the board of directors. It’s because we’ve been partners for ten years that I took your call, and I’m truly sorry."
Zhang Jun’s face was filled with disappointnt, "Can I know why this sudden decision was made? As you ntioned, it’s not just your company, but also several from Europe that have terminated their partnership with us. Right now, you’re the only one who’s taken my call. I want to know, where did I go wrong, or whom have I offended? Considering our decade of partnership, please tell !"
Jason sighed again, "Zhang, I don’t know much, but it seems you’ve indeed offended the capital on Financial Street in the USA."
Zhang Jun’s pupils dilated instantly.
Jason: "If you’ll forgive my asking, have you offended anyone else recently?"
Zhang Jun: "I don’t know, but I’d like to find out through you. Can you tell which company in Dragon Nation will replace us as the new agent?"
Jason: "I’ve not been notified yet, but I can only say that this ti, I had no recomndation rights; the board seems to have already selected the candidate, just waiting to sign the contract."
Zhang Jun’s heart sank to the bottom.
If Jason had the authority to switch companies, then he could maneuver by finding a shell company to stage a rescue. This would be a clever salvage strategy.
But clearly, the board did not grant Jason any such rights in this matter!
This indicated, the opposing company already had options for a cooperating company.
"Okay, if you hear anything, please tell imdiately. I appreciate it."
After hanging up the phone, in front of all the departnt heads and core mbers of the company, Zhang Jun fiercely smashed his phone!
