This business?
Lin Yue felt she had heard it sowhere before.
When she turned her head to look, she was stunned in place.
At the entrance of the venue, accompanied by several organizers, a capable woman in a black suit and trousers was walking in—none other than Yu Yue, whom she had just t that morning!
Gu Feng’s aunt!
When Yu Yue saw the astonished look on Lin Yue’s face, she smiled indulgently at her, then turned her gaze to Chu Yong from the Jiangcheng branch.
She sized up Chu Yong with a gaze full of undeniable determination, "I asked her to co. Is there a problem?"
"This—" Chu Yong was completely stunned, as if his brain had crashed montarily, but he quickly managed to say, "No, no problem. There might have been a mix-up by our staff mbers below, Miss Lin’s invitation has no issues at all."
Clearly, Yu Yue wasn’t ready to let Chu Yong off the hook yet. She gave him a sideways glance before turning directly to his superior, which is the person responsible for the Jiangcheng branch.
"Is this typically how you handle things? Don’t even know whether there’s an issue or not?"
Chu Yong’s superior hurriedly replied with a smile, "President, there’s absolutely no problem. I will write a detailed report and conduct a self-review on this matter and present it to you later."
He even glared fiercely at Chu Yong!
Only then did Yu Yue shift her gaze away from Chu Yong. At that mont, Chu Yong felt as though his backbone was soaked through.
He stood there shivering involuntarily, sowhat dazed.
"Since everyone is here, let’s start the eting." After casting a smirk-like glance at Lin Yue, Yu Yue scanned the crowd before heading towards the podium-style conference room.
"Miss Lin, this way please." The event director imdiately arranged a seat in the front for Lin Yue.
Although it was Lin Yue’s first ti attending, she knew that the seating arrangent must have been deliberate.
She saw that Zhang Jun, who was at her level, was placed at the very last row at the back.
She, on the other hand, was seated in the sa row as the heads of companies like Penguin and Ali, which left her feeling rather flattered.
Just as she felt undeserving of such an honor, she was surprised to see Yu Yue taking a seat at the conference host’s chair.
All the senior officials who usually handled such etings in Jiangcheng were seated on either side of Yu Yue.
Zhang Jun’s uncle didn’t even qualify for a high seat.
Sitting squarely in front of Yu Yue in the first row made Lin Yue feel quite uncomfortable. Observing the official national emblem badge on Yu Yue’s chest and the "President of the Dragon Country Chamber of Comrce and Industry" naplate on Yu Yue’s desk, Lin Yue’s mind was buzzing.
Gu Feng’s aunt was actually the official responsible for maintaining all civil business organization relations!
Watching her on the stage, confidently and steadfastly addressing the assembly of tycoons with a firm, steady, and powerful deanor, Lin Yue found it hard to associate this commanding figure with the amiable woman from that morning.
After delivering her speech on this year’s official export trade policies, Yu Yue asked for the concerns of the tycoons below.
She calmly responded to every big entrepreneur’s question and provided the best solutions.
Watching Yu Yue on the stage, Lin Yue felt an almost fan-like disbelief.
The attendees were tycoons from various provinces, each boasting billion-dollar enterprises.
In Lin Yue’s eyes, they were all heavyweights, even greater than her own father.
Mrs. Yu Yue, however, didn’t show the slightest stage fright facing them. Instead, she confidently spelled out a series of policy solutions and firmly stood her ground, expecting the tycoons below to execute them.
Zhang Jun, seated at the very back row, initially didn’t know who this woman was.
Listening to her reprimand his uncle left him speechless.
Following her into the eting, Zhang Jun grew increasingly nervous as he watched her command the entire eting process.
Even without asking his uncle, he knew this woman must be the big boss from Beijing he had heard about!
All over the country, from town to city to province, there are nearly five thousand civil business organizations.
Uncle Chu Yong managed the local business circle in Jiangcheng, also known as Shanghai Business.
But the big boss from Beijing supervised all provincial and above enterprises nationwide!
Any provincial enterprise moving up to transnational import and export had to deal with Beijing headquarters, who would then facilitate and support such enterprises globally.
Otherwise, would a huge business dare to conduct overseas transactions without official protection?
Zhang Jun wasn’t paying attention to the subject of the eting; all he did was secretly hope that Lin Yue had no connections with this magnate!
Otherwise, if his business went bankrupt, he’d accept that he had given his best.
As long as his uncle was safe, using his uncle’s connections, even if he couldn’t reach a large corporate group size, he could still circulate in the mid-lower capital rings in the future, at least not starving.
He just feared getting his uncle involved. Once his uncle also fell from power, he would lose access to the dostic resources in imports and exports.
Then his only foundation in the circle would be gone!
After the eting concluded, the solemn atmosphere suddenly dispersed.
As usual, many tycoons approached Yu Yue to mingle, seeking further clarification on policy directions.
Chu Yong imdiately went to Zhang Jun, looking panicked as he said, "Co, let’s apologize to Miss Lin and admit our fault!"
Seeing his uncle’s pale face, Zhang Jun sensed sothing ominous.
It seed as though the past hour-long eting had been a century of agony!
The two hurriedly made their way through the crowd towards Lin Yue. As Lin Yue stood up, preparing to leave,
Yu Yue waved to her and called, "Little Yue, co, join for dinner."
As Zhang Jun and Chu Yong neared, they heard the word ’aunt’ and their bodies jolted in shock!
