(Jason's POV)
"Jason!!" I heard a voice call out for
I could feel the desperate tone in their voice as I struggled to open my eyes. It was as if there was a massive weight that kept my eyelids from moving.
"Jason!!!" I kept hearing the voice
As I slowly opened my eyes, I could see the bright sunlight hit them and causing to flinch.
"Ah..." I said
As I adjusted my sight, I could see that Kagura was crouching above , a worried look on her face.
"Jason, are you okay?!" I could hear her voice
It was strange, for so reason, I could only hear her voice. I couldn't hear anything else, it was like so sort of loud pinging noise, blocking out the rest of the sound all around . My ears were hurting like hell too.
I slowly sat up, feeling my entire body in pain, "W-What?" I said rubbing my eyes,
"-ave to do sothing!!" I heard Kagura's voice
"Huh?" I said rubbing my head, "What?"
"Jason!!" She said
I felt her arms as she was shaking my shoulders as if trying to get to snap out of it. I was so confused for so reason, it was as if my body wasn't used to this. It was like I was in shock or sothing. Everything felt so numb, so weird, it was a really odd sensation.
Suddenly, everything adjusted, my ears, eyes, everything. All at once.
I instantly heard loud explosions all around us, the ground was shaking, and there was dirt hitting us from everywhere. I felt an absurd amount of magic power all around , it was unsettling.
I also heard a roar that shook the air and ground.
I widened my eyes, "N-No!!" I said standing up, "Acnologia?!"
As I stood up, my knees gave out and I stumbled, being caught by Kagura's arms.
"Jason!" She said, "Are you alright?! No, it's not Acnologia!"
"Oh..." I said, "Okay...."
My entire body felt like jelly, I couldn't exactly explain why. My fight with Acnologia was a bit crazy to say the least, I managed to seal him away but the fucker almost killed . Maybe it's the effect of his magic that is making my body feel like shit.
Wait....
If it wasn't Acnologia.....then....
I widened my eyes and looked up to see Erion's massive dark wings flapping in the air as he let out a roar, releasing a thick and black wave of magic power that shook the ground itself.
"W-What the fuck is going?!" I managed, "What is he doing here!? Erion!!!"
I tried taking a step, but my body couldn't move. That and Kagura was holding in place.
"Jason, we were looking for you for days!!" Kagura said, "We ca all the way over to the location where you and Acnologia fought, it was a hellscape! You were unconscious and didn't move, your body was cold, I thought you were dead!"
As she said that, I felt an insane splitting headache, my entire body trembling.
"Agghh..." I said, "W-Why's Erion here? Why isn't he on the ship?"
"I don't know, Jason." Kagura said as she walked towards a stone pillar, "Frankly, I'm glad he's here, he's holding them all off."
I looked at her, "Who?"
She gave a serious look, "All of them." she said
I then looked past the stone pillar and was able to focus on where Erion was. Below him, there was a massive army of Alvarez Soldiers shooting magic projectiles at him. Erion was shrugging them off and firing off beams of black light, causing massive explosions.
He was swinging his arms, causing shockwaves that sent dozens of soldiers flying as he flew straight into the crowd, causing more explosions. It was mayhem, almost like he was purposely fighting like a savage to cause as much destruction as he possibly could.
"Kagura!!" I heard a voice call out
I turned around to see Erza run up to us, "Erza..." I softly said
As she reached us she widened her eyes, "You woke him up?" She said, "That's good, but we have a problem. There's another marching army that is pushing through. Natsu and Lucy are doing their best but there's only so much they can do."
Kagura nodded, "We don't have to stay here." She said, "We can retreat. I can't believe they sent a full-force assault just to finish Jason off."
I winced in pain as I felt the splitting headache again, "Ughh...." I groaned, "G-Get Erion outta here....."
Erza looked at , "I'm sorry Jason, but Erion is holding off pretty well, we could-"
"No!!" I snapped, "I am not using him as a fucking weapon! Get him outta here!! Call Mavis and tell her to have Felicity to bombard this entire place up!! Why do I have The Nesis if I'm not gonna use it?!"
My entire body shook in pain, I couldn't bear it. Sothing was wrong, I can feel it. I don't know what it was, but it made collapse to the ground.
"Jason!" Kagura exclaid
"Jason, we have to get you out of here!" Erza said, "I'll try to talk to Erion, but he listens to nobody but yo-"
"ERION" I bellowed
I then felt a shockwave as I heard the flap of wings in the distance. There was a massive thud behind as the ground shook.
I turned around to see Erion looking at , in his Dragon form, with his big dark blue eyes.
"We're leaving." I said simply
He let out a low whimper; as if he were protesting to the order.
"Jason-" Kagura stated, "We're surrounded by thousands of their soldiers. There's no way that a Shield doesn't appear and-"
I placed my finger on her lips, silencing her. There were screams and massive explosions in the distance, the shaking of the ground was also causing a noise.
"Shh...." I said, "You feel that?"
She had her eyebrows raised, "E-Eh?"
"The air...." I said frowning, "The air is colder....."
As I said this, Erion opened his mouth and his breath was visible.
I narrowed my eyes, "Invel...." I said looking up to the sky, "He's here...."
The sky above was covered in thick winter clouds that were the result of the drop in temperature. This was not ideal, Invel was here and while I'm sure I can handle him when in normal condition, I am not in said condition to fight him.
And I don't plan to have Erion fight one of the Spriggan 12.
Erza spoke up, "If you need to retreat with Erion, Jason." She said, "We can create an opening, Kagura and I."
"Yes." Kagura said, "We can. We must act fast, Jason."
I shook my head, "No, I can't leave you here." I said clutching my side, "I'll have the Nesis bombard this place to high hell, see how they like i-"
I was interrupted by an imnse and ominous magic power that suddenly shook the air itself. It was so heavy and thick with power than even Erion felt it and was frozen, I could see his wide open blue eyes fill with surprise.
"This power...." Kagura said, "Is this the Shield you spoke of?"
I recognized this magic power and it wasn't Invel's. No, this was about to get really fucking hectic, really fucking fast. And I am not in a condition to deal with her, no, not today.
I shook my head, looking up at the sky, "Oh no..." I said softly, "It isn't....She's here..."
"Irene."
