(Jason's POV)
"Felicity." I said as I sat in the cockpit of The Archangel's Might, "Status."
I was flying high in the sky, over the sea that separated the two continents. I've been on flight for almost an hour, going at a fast but steady pace.
"Sir." She said, "The Magic Council has begun the evacuations into the bunkers we've built. Several cities have their barriers on stand by but it's the border villages and towns that are hurryingly being taken into the vaults and bunkers."
"How much food and water do they all have?" I asked
"Each Vault contains 6 months' worth of food for the maxed-out occupation limit." She said, "Depending on how long the conflict will last, we can keep them there until it passes."
I nodded, "Yea..." I said, "Who knows how long it'll last.."
"My calculations...." She continued, "3 weeks..."
"3 weeks until what?" I asked
"With what we have planned, sir, the potential trajectory of their armies, the size, strength of them....." She replied, "I've calculated that it'll take them 3 weeks to reach their target, Fairy Heart. If and only if, she stays in Magnolia, which will be heavily fortified the most."
If the Warmind AI says that's the case, then so be it. But there's one thing she's probably not taking into account; The Spriggan 12. I'm more than sure that the Spriggan 12 will be the deciding factor in any battle that takes place, even with my help.
"Felicity." I said, "With the Spriggan 12..... what are the calculations then?"
"Sir..." She said, "I've done the reading with the woman known as Irene. Since you've co in contact with her before, she is considered a familiar magical signature. That said if there are 11 more mages like her at their disposal and Wahl Icht is one of them...I'd say that 3 weeks is still appropriate."
"Is that so?" I asked
"Wahl Ich should pose no problem to you." She continued, "And depending on how Irene Belserion feels after this whole childbirth ordeal, I doubt she'll be in any condition to fully fight. That said, there are a lot more factors. I am confident in my calculations. 3 weeks if we keep Fairy Heart tightly secured. Your War Magic, The Nesis, and Myself. Those 3 factors will play a massive role for our side. I know it makes feel condescending, but I am more than confident in my abilities in War."
That does make sense. She is the Warmind, War should be her whole thing. And The Nesis is one hell of a thing. She's not in the wrong if she feels confident in her abilities. Her piloting of the Nesis alongside all other things she could do, gives us a huge advantage.
That being said, we're now heading into enemy territory. I wonder what would co out of this.
"Warning: Approaching Alakitashia." She said, "45 minutes until arriving at the coordinates issued by the Alvarez Empire."
I looked in front of , watching the huge landmass of the western continent.
I sighed, "Here we go..." I said, "Activate Stealth Mode."
"Activating Stealth Mode," Felicity said
I felt as the warship humd as the cloaking device began to activate, making us invisible to the naked eye.
"Alright..." I said,
"This better be true, Irene.."
***********************************************************
As the Ship hovered over a landing platform, I felt as it teleported downwards.
I landed on the platform and saw several soldiers running toward , with their weapons drawn.
"Sir." Felicity said, "What-"
"Shh." I said, "I'm disabling communications with you. If I'm not airborne in 5 hours, raise the Code Red level to 5."
"But sir!" She exclaid as I clicked on the badge, turning it off
I then snapped my fingers, causing the warship to disappear, sending it back to the Workshop Hangar.
A couple of seconds later, I was surrounded by dozens upon dozens of black armored soldiers who aid their weapons at .
"Stay where you are!!" they all shouted, "Don't move!!!"
I raised my arms, "I'm here." I said, "Where's Irene?"
I looked past them, I was in the middle of rocky hills, and a massive palace was on top of the hills. This must've been Irene's ho, not Vistarion.
"Move!!" One of the soldiers yelled as he nudged to walk forward
Around the hills, there were several military outposts where massive airships were docked. I noticed that they were mobilizing, several airships already hovering above the ground.
They were already beginning.
As I walked, being escorted by this massive platoon, I noticed a single lone figure standing by the entrance of the palace.
She had dark hair and wore a skin-tight uniform. I recognized her, she was one of Irene's subordinates, Heine Lunacy.
"Hm.." She said, "Is he the one?"
"Yes ma'am!" One of the soldiers aid
"Okay." She said, "Follow . Don't try anything funny, you're surrounded by the entirety of the Irene Squad."
I nodded, "Right."
She then turned around and began to walk.
I felt as if one of the soldiers pushed forwards, indicating for to follow her.
I walked behind Heine, being unsettled by the silence as we walked into the palace.
Several minutes later, we were walking down a hallway towards where Heine said Irene was.
"She's in labor, by now." She said, "I'm missing it because of you, had to lead you here."
I looked at her, "Wait!" I said, "She's in labor?!"
"Yep." She said, "Lady Irene was already due. She was so big and all, these past few months. She was so beautiful too."
As we reached a door, I noticed that it opened and a young-looking girl walked out. I recognized her as Julliete Sun, the other of Irene's subordinates.
"Heine!" She said brightly, "It happened!"
Heined gasped as she blushed slightly, "What?!"
"Yes~!!" Juliette squealed, "It's a boy!"
I widened my eyes, "W-What?" I said as I stopped, "A boy?"
Juliette looked at , "Huh?" She said, "Who're you?"
"This is Jason, Juliette." Heine said with an annoyed tone, "The father."
Juliette scowled, "You're the one, eh?!" She growled, "Where were you until now?!"
Before I could say anything else, I heard the crying of a baby. They were loud and could be heard all the way outside here.
"Juliette-" Heine started
"Move," I said walking past her
"Hey!" Juliette exclaid
I opened the door and walked inside, seeing that Irene was sitting on a bed, holding a crying baby. Next to her, there were what looked like nurses holding towels as they looked at Irene.
Irene was smiling, looking at the baby. I rely froze and stood there with my eyes wide open in surprise.
"I..." I said
Irene then looked up at , "Oh?" She said, "You're here."
I looked at Irene, she looked so beautiful, and her skin was glowing. Her long and beautiful scarlet hair was loose and let down, not braided as usual. I saw as her face was covered in a bit of sweat, due to labor.
"Irene..." I said as I began to shake slightly, "I..."
I then looked at the baby again, he was crying, and he had what looked like red hair, like Irene's.
"Jason." She said softly, "This is your son."
"Erion."
