It's been a few days since Ben returned from his investigation jobs. He has started to train his magic and do less physical training. He still trains his physique, but it's just normal daily training to keep his body in good condition.
Now he has more ti to explore & learn his magic. He will work more on increasing his mastery and less on new spells. Ben needs to strengthen his magic foundation instead of adding more things.
Currently Ben wants to raise his elental mastery. The elents are the base of his magic. His magic will beco stronger if he has higher mastery over all his elents.
"Fire, Light, Heat, and Gravity form the Sun. To strengthen the sun, I need to strengthen those elents. But I also need to balance them or the sun won't form perfectly," ponders Ben.
Currently, his strongest elent is Heat. Fire & Light are good enough and he often used them to fight. Gravity is the last because he trained it late and it is hard to train.
Ben doesn't have many references about Gravity Magic. That's why his Gravity Magic grows slower than the others. But he can train it with his limited knowledge and make it quite strong.
For now, he can manipulate Gravity up to 15 tis the normal gravity. He can increase or decrease it up to 15 tis, based on the MP & spell that he uses. He can also make the center of gravity anywhere within 20 ters radius.
15 tis gravity is not a small number actually. With 15 tis gravity, Ben can make his targets 15 tis heavier. A 100 kg rock will beco 1500 kg or 1.5 tons if Ben increases the gravity level 10 tis.
But this is a magic world and his enemies aren't rocks. His enemies are mages and magical creatures. They can use their magic to cancel the effect of Ben's Gravity magic if they're strong enough.
The physical strength of strong Mages is usually high too. Their body that contains a lot of MP have been strengthened by it and surpassed normal people. Strong mages might be able to just walk normally on 15 tis gravity that Ben makes.
Ben's target for his magic is very high. He still needs to stop the Dragonization that will transform him into a Dragon. Being a Dragon seems to be good if his goal is just strength. But he doesn't know the effect of that transformation.
He likes to be a human too and do what he wants as a human. That's why he needs to stop the Dragon Seed from turning him into a Dragon through Dragonization.
To do that, he only has one way that Smog, the Heat Dragon has told him. He needs to seal Acnologia in his body because only Acnologia has the required power to cancel the seed of Sun Dragon in his body.
But it's not easy to defeat Acnologia and seal him in Ben's body. Ben has found much information about Acnologia and he never finds any detailed information about that guy's power.
However, Ben knows that as soone who has killed many Dragons, Acnologia must have very great power. Unless he can surpass a Dragon's power, Ben won't be able to defeat Acnologia.
"But what kind of Dragon is he? What elent that he has? I don't know anything about him, even Smog doesn't know his exact power. Just what kind of power that makes him could defeat so many Dragons?" ponders Ben.
Ben tries to think of Acnologia's power and how to defeat him. But even AI Chip can't predict his power & strength with Ben's limited information. All he can do is train and prepare for any situation.
Ben leaves his thinking about Acnologia's power. There will be no end to it if he keeps thinking and guessing. He just needs to get as strong as possible, so he can fight with Acnologia.
Ben then starts his training and focuses on training his magic. He trains all his magic spells and tries to improve them. AI Chip has made so possible improvents based on the data when Ben used it, so it becos easier.
Ben also tries to raise his MP capacity. His magic spells, especially the big powered ones need a lot of MP. Besides, more MP ans he can fight longer and uses more spells to fight.
He doesn't want to run out of MP while he fights. Sure, he has prepared so things to use if he runs out of MP like his magic gun. But it's not sothing to rely on. He needs to use it just for backup.
Ben keeps training and he trains the girls too when he has ti. They've grown stronger over the last 2 years. Ben has used AI Chip to help the girls improve their magic too. With everything in the database, it is an easy matter for AI Chip to do.
The next month, Ben finally get another S-Class job. He is tasked to explore an unknown island at the north of Fiore. The island has been just found by so fishern that went too far from their usual route.
It is not an easy job because unknown regions pose an unknown danger that might be deadly. That's also why this job beco an S-Class job, as the risk is very high. It can also be nothing if the island is safe, but no one will know it unless soone explores it.
"Exploration? You don't give a monster subjugation job again?" asks Ben curiously.
"I thought you will be bored to take monster subjugation jobs every ti. That's why I decide to take this job for you. Besides, you have said to that you want to explore the world in the future. So why don't you try it now by exploring an island?" says Roubaul while smiling.
Ben has a surprised expression and says, "Gramps, so you haven't beco senile yet."
*TAK* Roubaul suddenly hit Ben's head with a long wooden stick. He is very pissed by Ben's words just now.
"OUCH!" shouts Ben while crouching and holding his bumped head.
"Still disrespectful like usual. I will make you senile before I beco senile myself, you damn brat," says Roubaul with a pissed tone.
Ben can only crouch while rubbing his bumped head. His body is very strong now, but Roubaul's attacks always hurt him very much. He doesn't know how the old man does it even until now.
"So, do you accept this job?" asks Roubaul.
"Alright, alright, I'll accept it," says Ben while rubbing his head bump.
Ben finally accepts the job. Roubaul is right, he is bored to hunt monsters every ti. He wants to do sothing else, and this exploration job seems interesting.
The unknown region, unknown danger, and other unknowns. Nothing is known about that island, but that's what makes it more interesting. Ben is very excited to uncover the island's mysteries.
Ben prepares many stuff, especially supplies because he doesn't know if anything there is safe to eat. That's why he needs to bring his own supplies to fill his necessities on that unknown island.
Ben then goes to the north port where he will use a ship to reach the island. He drives his car and goes to the north port with Bella like usual. It takes them 6 hours to reach the north port from their village because it's quite far.
On the port, Ben goes around to find any ship that can bring them there. He needs a rather big ship because he also will bring his car there. His car won't only make his exploration easier, but Ben also can use it to camp and store things.
It's not easy to find a ship that wants to take him there. The ship owners are afraid that the unknown island is too dangerous. They don't want to risk their lives because of so Jewels.
Ben negotiates with many people for a full day. But he doesn't find anyone that wants to take him there. He tries again on the next day and no one still wants to take him there.
"Damn, I shouldn't take this job and stick on monster subjugation," says Ben while sitting on a bench.
"Go ho?" asks Bella.
"No, we will still continue the mission, Bella. But we can't go there without any ship," says Ben defeatedly.
"Swimming?" asks Bella again.
Ben sweatdrop at Bella's question and says, "No, Bella, we won't swim there. Well, it's okay if you want to fly us there though."
Bella imdiately closes her eyes and act like she is sleeping. Ben just laughs at her antique and continues to think of a way.
"Sigh, the Kingdom should've prepared the transportation when they issued this job," grumbles Ben. This is a big job, so at least the Kingdom needs to prepare what he'll need to do it.
Then suddenly, he has an idea and grins, "Wait! The Kingdom? Hehe, now I know what to do."
