Even if Zeref's death wave doesn't affect him, Alex still needs to be careful. After all, Zeref's ability isn't just that death wave. Alex can't rember most of Zeref's abilities from the series, but even if he rembers, he's sure that those aren't all.
As soone who has lived for hundreds of years, creating nurous demons, forming an Empire, raising many Mages as his subordinates, etc, he must have learned many types of magic and maybe even created a lot too. It's just that most of them aren't shown in the series.
"Your magic power feels familiar. I feel like I've sensed it before." Zeref is still surprised that Alex is not affected by his death wave, but then he suddenly feels that he has sensed Alex's magic power before, but he can't rember when.
"I don't care about that. What I care about is you need to leave this place before causing more problems. I can handle that death wave of yours, but I'm sure my friends can't, so you can't be here."
When Alex says that, he is looking far away into the distance. He senses the big problem that Zeref calls just by being here. With his really sharp eyes, he can already see an airship coming to this island even though it's still very far.
Alex transforms into the humanoid Gyuki form that makes him look like a Minotaur with Octopus's tentacles as his tails. He clad his body with lightning then without saying anything, he charges toward Zeref at a very high speed.
His right arm is risen like he's about to use Lariat, but his palm is open. Then unlike normal Lariat where he slams his arm at his opponent's chest or even neck, Alex slams his palm at Zeref's stomach.
Alex is so fast that even soone like Zeref can't react to his sudden attack. He only realizes it when Alex already hits his stomach very strongly. The palm that slams onto his stomach makes his body arches and air is pushed out of his lung forcefully.
"Be responsible and take care of the problem you cause, Emperor Spriggan."
With a very strong swing enhanced with Lightning Magic, Alex throws Zeref out of the island. Zeref flies very fast while feeling the pain in his stomach.
Sotis he lets his opponents hit him to see if they can kill him even though he can dodge or block them, but just now he genuinely couldn't see Alex's movent, which is a very great feat on its own.
Furthermore, Alex's attack is so strong that Zeref feels a great pain in his stomach that got hit. At his level, it's very hard for him to even feel pain from his opponents' attacks, so this is also very surprising to him.
Zeref flies at a very high speed and in just a few seconds, he crashes onto a big black airship from the front. The crash is powerful enough to push the airship back and obviously the front hull that got hit by Zeref's body is broken.
"W-WHAT HAPPEN? WHAT'S THAT?"
The people in the airship didn't even realize that soone was flying toward their airship and crashed onto it because Zeref flew very fast. They didn't have ti to react even though they were looking at the island.
They quickly move to check the broken part and what caused it. When they see a man lying on the floor among the broken parts, they are very shocked. After all, this man is soone they've been looking for and worship for a long ti. This is Grimoire Heart's airship.
"L-LORD ZEREF!" Hades a.k.a Precht quickly recognizes Zeref and it surprises the others. After all, they are coming to Tenrou Island because they sensed Zeref's presence there, but now Zeref is on their airship.
"What happened?! Why did Lord Zeref fly and crash onto our airship?" Rustyrose asks what everyone wants to know as well, so no one can answer him because they also don't know how it happens.
They can only look at the big hole in their airship caused by Zeref's landing and look at the direction of the island where Zeref ca from. Then suddenly, so of them see a small dark object flying toward them at a very high speed.
Before anyone can check what it is, Hades already makes 3 layers of massive dark purple magic circles in front of the airship. These dark purple magic circles are magic barriers.
He makes them because he has a very bad feeling about that flying object and he does the right thing by following his feelings. The dark flying object hits the 1st layer of the magic barriers and now it can be seen clearly.
It's a Tailed Beast Bomb the size of a basketball that is shot by Alex in his Humanoid Gyuki form a while after confirming that Zeref has crashed onto Grimoire Heart's airship. He wants to take the initiative and attack them before they land on the island.
While it's bigger than normal Mini Tailed Beast Bombs, it is still a Mini Tailed Beast Bomb. But with that size, its explosion is obviously stronger than normal Mini Tailed Beast Bombs. It's strong enough to break Hades's 3-layered magic barriers.
But the magic barriers give ti for the other Dark Mages to react. They also use their own defensive spells to block the impact of that explosion. Though it's just 3 people who react on ti to block the explosion that destroyed their Guild Master's barriers.
Bluenote creates a round shield behind Hades's barriers using his Gravity Magic. Azuma covers the big hole caused by Zeref using a lot of thick vines made of his Great Tree Arc Magic. Lastly, Rustyrose restores the broken hull using his Arc of Embodint Magic.
The explosion is stopped by Bluenote's Gravity Shield, but it's also destroyed in the process, so Azuma's vines still block so remaining impact. They all are surprised by the power of that unknown attack that will surely destroy their airship if it wasn't blocked.
"They can stop that level of Tailed Beast Bomb, huh? They are stronger than I thought."
Alex can see what happens to his attack from his location with his sharp eyes. Well, it's not really clear because of the great distance, but he can tell that they stop it with their magic because the airship is not destroyed.
He has done a lot of investigations on Grimoire Heart. From his investigation, he finds out that they have more main mbers than what were shown in the series which Ultear was a mber of their Guild.
He thought that because they don't have Ultear, they would have less mbers. But it seems they still recruited a mber to replace her supposed position and even recruited more. Though he can't be sure if they are stronger now even with more mbers than in the series.
It's not just Ultear who doesn't join them like in the series. redy, the pink-haired girl is also not their mber. Alex was surprised when Ultear introduced redy to him a few years ago when they t as escorts during the Guild Masters annual eting.
Ultear told him that she found redy on a job and picked her up. She didn't tell him the details though, but it's enough for him to know that redy is not in Grimoire Heart. After all, in his knowledge, Grimoire Heart redy was just an innocent girl who followed Ultear who she sees as a family after saving her.
Alex can't rember the details of redy's backstory, but he clearly rembers her being a rather innocent girl during Tenrou Island Arc. She will also join Ultear and Jellal later to do good things to redeem their cris, so Alex was quite worried about his plan to destroy Grimoire Heart if she is there.
Thankfully, Ultear found her and recruited her to join rmaid Heel, so he doesn't need to worry about destroying Grimoire Heart without rcy. Though it made him think that maybe so things that can be fates are unchangeable like Ultear's eting with redy.
That's why he is very worried about Acnologia's attack on Tenrou Island and everyone being frozen in ti for 7 years because those might also be sothing that he can't change. He will still do his best to change the result, but the chance of defeating Acnologia is small.
However, for now he needs to focus on Zeref and Grimoire Heart. If his mory is right, then they are the reasons Acnologia cos to Tenrou Island. Whether it's just their presence or the battles they initiate that cause it, it is still them that triggers that event to happen.
Destroying Grimoire Heart as soon as possible will reduce the chance of Acnologia coming here. So Alex plans to destroy them even before they reach the island. That's why he will go all-out from the beginning and be a real monster.
