July 6th, Grand Magic Gas Final Day.

"Finally! Finally!! We’ve arrived at the most exhilarating event for wizards—the Grand Magic Gas Final Day!! Whether in tears or laughter, today... the guild that will claim the ultimate victory will be decided!"

The morning at the Domus Flau Coliseum was surrounded by cheers and applause.

On this climactic day of the Grand Magic Gas, everyone’s emotions were at their peak, eagerly anticipating the thrilling battles ahead.

Sitting in the comntary booth, Chapati announced, "Bringing you the live coverage once again is ... Chapati! And joining for comntary is forr Council mber Yajima! Please give him a warm welco. And our special guest today... the official mascot of the Grand Magic Gas—Pumpkin!"

"Pleasure to be here."

"Pumpkin!"

Following Chapati’s introduction, both Yajima and the Pumpkin mascot greeted the audience.

"Is it really okay for you to be here instead of officiating today’s matches, Pumpkin?" Chapati asked curiously, turning toward the laid-back Pumpkin mascot sitting beside him.

Pumpkin nodded confidently and replied, "It’s fine today, pumpkin~. Everyone, do your best, pumpkin~."

"And now, it’s ti for the teams to enter the arena!"

With the introductions out of the way, Chapati officially began his live comntary, introducing the competing teams.

"Currently in 6th place, with only a slim chance of victory, but still hoping for an incredible coback—Quatro Puppy, forrly known as Quatro Cerberus!"

The five mbers of Quatro Puppy entered the arena one by one.

Even though they knew that with their current score, winning first place was already impossible, none of them showed even the slightest sign of giving up.

On the contrary, their eyes burned with fighting spirit.

"Next up, Blue Pegasus! Lamia Scale! rmaid Heel!"

The mbers of the three guilds—Pegasus, Lamia, and rmaid—also made their grand entrance.

Since they still had a chance to turn the tables, each of them carried a composed yet determined expression, with faint smiles tinged with seriousness.

"And now, currently in 2nd place! Will they lose their throne at this rate? Can they reclaim the title of the strongest?—Saber Tooth!!"

With Chapati’s announcent, the mbers of Saber Tooth entered the arena.

However, sothing seed off—their expressions were noticeably unnatural, and the aura they exuded was vastly different from before.

Keen observers even noticed that in the Saber Tooth viewing area, the guild master, Jiemma, and the Exceed nad Lector were nowhere to be seen.

Chapati voiced his curiosity, "Hmm? Sohow, the energy they’re giving off feels different from before."

"Did they regain their morale?"

"They look so cool, pumpkin~."

Sting, glancing briefly at the lonely figure of Frosch in the Saber Tooth viewing area, lowered his head slightly and murmured to himself, "Lector... leave it to . I won’t lose again..."

"And now, in first place! The guild that has been hailed as the strongest for the past seven years—will today mark their complete revival?—Fairy Tail!!"

The mont the Fairy Tail mbers stepped into the arena, the entire coliseum suddenly fell silent.

Everyone stared at the lineup, struggling to process what they were seeing.

"They actually changed a team mber?" Chapati exclaid in surprise, noticing that Juvia had taken Natsu’s place in the lineup.

"Natsu Dragneel isn’t competing?" Rogue from Saber Tooth muttered in mild surprise.

Beside him, Sting spoke softly, "Isn’t this a good thing, Rogue? We should consider ourselves lucky."

Although Natsu’s absence did cause a stir, since the substitution followed the official procedures, everyone remained puzzled but accepted that the competition had to go on as planned.

Watching the gathered teams in the arena, the First Master gave Makarov a aningful glance and said, "The Sixth Master has really thought everything through."

Makarov sighed helplessly and replied, "In the end, this was the only option. Perhaps winning the Grand Magic Gas will get them to legally release Natsu, but... when we can’t fully trust our opponents, relying on just that one strategy isn’t enough. While everyone’s attention is focused on the tournant, we’ll continue to cheer for our team as usual..."

The First Master continued, "anwhile, in the background, we send another team to rescue Natsu—this is what you call a two-pronged strategy."

.............

On the streets of Crocus, several figures were swiftly making their way toward the palace.

"The final battle of the Grand Magic Gas seems to be starting," Mira glanced in the direction of the roaring cheers from the Domus Flau and murmured.

"Good. Now is our chance," Noel nodded slightly and looked at the group following behind him—Lucy, Wendy, Ed, Mira, Yukino, and the three Exceeds.

He spoke softly, "The first thing we need to do now is infiltrate the castle."

"But... how are we supposed to sneak into the castle without attracting attention?" Wendy asked.

"Don’t worry, I’ve already thought about that," Noel reassured her before turning his gaze to Ed.

"This next operation will require your help, Ed."

"Eh? I don’t mind helping," Ed blinked in surprise before replying.

"But as far as magic goes, the only difference between you and is in attack and defense, right? Everything else should be about the sa."

"Exactly. And that’s precisely why I need your help," Noel nodded with a mysterious smile.

.............

"Show off your skills... your magic... and the bonds between your comrades. The final day, a survival ga with all participants! The Grand Magic Gas officially begins!!"

"The battlefield is none other than the entire city of Crocus! All participating guild mbers have been dispersed across different districts, awaiting the signal to begin," Chapati announced excitedly inside the arena as he explained the rules while watching the images of various guilds displayed on the lacrima screens.

"If a participant encounters a mber of a rival guild on the streets, a battle will break out imdiately. Knocking out an opponent or rendering them unable to fight will earn their guild 1 point. Additionally... each guild has a designated team leader, whose identity is only known to their own guild. Defeating the leader will grant 5 points."

"In theory, a guild can earn a maximum of 45 points, aning every guild has a chance to win. Will they fight as a team, or split up to cover more ground? We’ll soon see what strategies each guild has chosen!"

In one part of Crocus, after hearing Chapati’s explanation, Erza turned to her four remaining teammates and declared, "We have no choice but to win—to take back Natsu."

Juvia nodded. "I hope Noel-san and the others can rescue Natsu-san safely."

Gajeel crossed his arms. "That’s our top priority..."

"But there’s another reason we need to win," Gray added in a low voice.

Laxus smirked slightly. "For the ones who endured those seven years of hardship and protected the guild."

At that mont, the bell signaling the start of the battle rang out, marking the official beginning of the final day of the Grand Magic Gas.

"Let’s go!!"

"Yeah!!"
