In a small pavilion facing the cetery of Kardia Cathedral, Noel and Mira quietly watched the rain outside, neither speaking a word.

Ever since Noel regained his mories—or more precisely, ever since he rembered Mira's kiss that night—their relationship had beco... strange.

Calling them friends felt too ambiguous.

Calling them lovers, not quite intimate enough.

There was always an indescribable distance between them, subtle yet undeniable.

But neither of them felt bothered or restless about it.

Instead, they silently chose to leave it unspoken, as if by mutual understanding.

"Two years... have already passed..."

After a long silence, Noel sighed softly, his voice low and distant.

Mira nodded wordlessly, her lips still carrying that signature enchanting smile of hers—though this ti, it was a little dimr than usual.

"If Lisanna were still here... she would've grown up too by now."

"...You still can't let go?"

"Let go...? No, it's not that I can't let go... It's that I don't want to."

"Because I lost her, I understand...

I know that these painful mories will only bring sorrow and grief. But... I'd rather hold onto them forever, let them stay with always.

I believe that in this world, there are things that no matter how much ti passes, we will never be able to forget."

"So, I want to open my heart—to try to accept it, to believe in it."

Mira's voice was soft, yet unwavering.

In her deep blue eyes, a radiant light flickered—one that was impossible to ignore.

A light called strength.

Noel was slightly stunned for a mont before he chuckled in understanding.

"You're even stronger than I imagined, Mira..."

"Hmm? Really? Only you think so. The others in the guild probably see as weak," Mira said with a light laugh.

"True strength cos from within... At least, I could never be as strong as you."

Noel sighed softly, a faint trace of lancholy flickering in his deep blue eyes.

"That's because... Noel... it's because you are by my side that I can keep being strong..."

Mira's voice grew softer and softer, nearly drowned out by the sound of the rain.

A faint blush slowly spread across her beautiful cheeks.

Not quite catching her words, Noel tilted his head in confusion.

"You said sothing, Mira?"

"It's nothing, don't worry about it."

Mira quickly shook her head, looking slightly flustered as she turned away.

Noticing that she didn't want to explain further, Noel scratched his cheek and chose not to press the issue.

As his gaze drifted, he suddenly noticed the blue crystal necklace around her neck.

"Mira... that necklace..."

"This?"

Mira gently touched the necklace, a soft smile forming on her lips.

"Mm... It's the one you gave , Noel."

"Really? I've never seen you wear it, so I thought you didn't like it," Noel said curiously.

The necklace was sothing he had found on Galuna Island.

Since giving it to Mira, he had never actually seen her wear it, so he naturally assud she didn't like it.

"That's not true."

Mira refuted Noel's words, then murmured in a low voice, "I was just... afraid of breaking it."

"Pfft."

Hearing her response, Noel was montarily stunned before bursting into laughter.

"Don't laugh, Noel! Or I'll get mad!"

Mira glared at him in embarrassnt, her tone carrying a hint of indignation.

"Ah, I didn't an to! It's just... sotis you're surprisingly childish, Mira."

Noel smiled, then added, "This necklace actually has a strong defensive ability. If you had been wearing it during the Laxus incident, you wouldn't have been turned to stone by Evergreen. So, you should keep it on next ti. I'd feel a lot more at ease knowing you have it."

"Really?"

Mira curiously examined the necklace around her neck. "I couldn't tell... but since you say so, I'll wear it all the ti from now on."

"Yeah. The way to use it is similar to a defensive spell—just channel your magic into it and direct the defense towards the incoming attack."

"Got it."

As Mira and Noel were talking, the dark clouds hovering over Magnolia suddenly flickered violently with silver-white lightning, and a nauseating surge of magic power rippled through the sky.

Within re seconds, the magic in the sky transford into raging tornadoes.

The howling winds swept across the entire Magnolia, twisting everything in their path into eerie distortions under the influence of this terrifying force.

Destruction.

Collapse.

Everything was assimilated by this overwhelming magical power.

"Not good!"

Sensing the imminent danger, Noel's body radiated a golden energy, enveloping both himself and Mira, shielding them from the devastating magic while repelling the chaotic force outside.

Everything else, however, was caught in the raging magic, entangled and devoured, dissolving into pure white energy that was gradually absorbed into the sky.

In just a few short seconds, Magnolia had vanished before Noel and Mira's eyes, leaving only a chilling emptiness stretching around them.

"Noel, what's happening?"

Mira steadied herself, her pupils contracting slightly in shock as she took in their surroundings.

"This feeling... Could it be...? No way, not this fast... Did Mystogan already fail?"

Noel frowned deeply as he gazed up at the sky, which was slowly beginning to return to normal.

"Noel... Elfman... the guild, the entire town... everything is..."

Mira anxiously grasped Noel's hand.

Noel gently clasped her hand in return, signaling her to stay calm.

Then, in a soft voice, he said, "Don't panic, Mira. Right now, we need to stay calm and wait. If things are truly as I suspect... then we need to wait for one person."

"Who?" Mira furrowed her brows in confusion.

As if answering her question, a figure slowly erged before them.

"Mystogan... did you fail?"

Noel's words made Mira pause for a mont before she realized what he ant.

She turned her gaze toward the newcor—his attire unmistakably belonged to one of Fairy Tail's strongest candidates, Mystogan.

"Yeah... sorry, Noel. The sudden expansion of Anima spiraled out of control, and I could no longer suppress it. Now... there's only one chance left to fix all of this. Noel, Mira, you both need to go to Edolas imdiately. I will search for any other survivors... and also, take these."

Mystogan handed them two pills.

"You can only use magic in Edolas after taking these. I'm counting on you."

"Alright, I'm going right away."

Understanding the urgency of the situation, Noel didn't waste any words.

He simply nodded, swallowed the pill in his hand, and then turned to Mira.

"Mira, I know you have many questions for , but now is not the ti. Once we arrive in Edolas, I'll explain everything to you in detail."

"Mm, I understand. I trust you, Noel."

Mira gazed into Noel's clear eyes and nodded.

"Then..."

With a wave of his hand, a pair of pure white wings appeared on both their backs.

"Wings of Light."

With a single powerful flap, the radiant wings propelled them into the sky like two beams of white light, soaring toward the vortex above.

Even the crackling lightning flashing across the heavens couldn't dim the brilliance of their glow.

Mystogan remained where he stood, watching Noel and Mira disappear into the swirling sky.

He let out a sigh.

"Noel... I'm counting on you. You're the only one who can save this world... and the only one... who can stop him."
