"Please."

The chairman bent down slightly, indicating for Evan to follow him into the Magic Council.

"Good!"

Evan nodded slightly, and at the sa ti, motioned for Kurnugi to follow behind him and not run around.

"How boring..."

Kurnugi whispered. He was not interested in human communication, but because of Evan, he had to follow Evan in.

"The banquet is starting. Let all the wounded warriors co! Today we are drunk! Rember that the reason why our Magic Council can defeat the dragons is all because of your hard work. Everyone here is a hero!"

When Evan and Kurnugi entered the Magic Council, the chairman shouted to the wounded soldiers in front of him.

Oh!

"..."

All of a sudden, a group of soldiers responded to the chairman by roaring to the sky. Although each of these soldiers had suffered heavy injuries, they were imposing and did not feel dispirited at all, instead full of fighting spirit.

"As expected of the chairman of the Norther Continent. This thod of mobilizing emotions is very impressive. No wonder the Magic Council has been fighting against the invincible dragons, but it has never been dispirited."

Evan looked at the soldiers of the appraisal hall who had recovered their montum in an instant and nodded continuously.

"Tsk! A bunch of shorties. They can't even withstand a single slap from . I have to be careful every ti I make a move, afraid of killing them."

"I really don't know what they have to be proud of. They clearly didn't help Master at all..."

After listening to the angry roars of these appraisal soldiers, Kurnugi pouted his lips and spoke in disdain.

"Kurnugi..."

After Evan heard Kurnugi's words, he turned around and smiled at Kurnugi. At the sa ti, he beckoned Kurnugi over with her finger.

"Huh Master, you called ?"

Kurnugi imdiately walked over to Evan.

"Peng..."

Then Evan punched Kurnugi's head.

"It hurts! Master!"

"Master, I didn't do anything! Why did you hit ?"

Kurnugi covered his head and looked at Evan in confusion.

"Don't look down on humans, Kurnugi."

"Do you see that? Those soldiers are giving off fearless courage! Those who bully the weak are not the strong. The ones who dare to challenge the stronger are the strong..."

Evan looked at Kurnugi and educated him.

"Oh>"

Kurnugi widened his eyes. He blinked his big eyes and looked at Evan in confusion, as if he didn't understand what Evan was saying.

"Kurnugi, do you know how the dragons on Ishgar were exterminated?"

Evan looked at Kurnugi and asked with a smile.

"Yes! My mother told that there was a very bad person on Ishgar. He used a very strong dragon-slaying spell to kill all the dragons on the continent. In the end, he bathed in dragon blood and turned into black wings that represented despair and death! My mother also said that many of the dragons on this continent had escaped from Ishgar back then..."

After listening to Evan, Kurnugi nodded and said.

"All the seniors who used the first dragon-slaying spell, they are the embodint of human courage and endless creativity!"

"About four hundred years ago, there was a war between dragons and humans. Dragons wanted to destroy humans, dragons wanted to coexist with humans, and humans ford two opposing factions..."

"Among them, the dragons that wanted to destroy humans occupied the vast majority of the dragon species. The dragons that wanted to coexist with humans occupied a small number. The magic of humans was much stronger, but it was not very effective against dragons that had multiple magic resistance. They thought that humans needed to obtain stronger and more powerful magic in order to resist the dragons! The dragon-slaying magic also appeared in such an environnt."

"At that ti, there was a group of people who were willing to walk forward with heavy weights for the sake of the human heart. They were the users of the first dragon-slaying magic. Using the thod of adding the attributes of dragons, humans successfully obtained the ability to fight against dragons. However, the first dragon-slaying magic was too crude. It was simply adding the power of dragons to the human body. Therefore, in the end, people who overused this power turned into dragons one after another, becoming the ones who do not want to beco the most..."

"I once asked an first generation Dragon Slayer. I once asked her if she regretted creating the dragon-slaying magic? She replied with great regret at that ti, but when I asked her, if she had the chance to return to the past, would she still create the dragon-slaying magic? However, she told that if she hadn't created the Dragon Slayer Magic at that ti, there wouldn't have been human beings now. For the country she protected at that ti, even if she chose ten thousand tis, she would still attach the dragon power to human beings...

When Evan said this, him eyes were red. There was still the second half of the sentence that Evan didn't say. The second half of the sentence was, even if human beings betrayed her ten thousand tis...

"I still don't understand?"

Kurnugi scratched his cheek. He still didn't understand what Evan said.

"Perhaps you don't understand, but when you grow up, you might understand what I said."

After Evan finished speaking, he entered the banquet hall with the ignorant Kurnugi.

"Let us thank our hero, Mr. Evan, who traveled thousands of miles from Ishgar, to the Northern Continent to help us resist the dragons! Let us cheer for Evan!"

In the banquet hall, the chairman sat in the main seat and shouted loudly.

"Oh!"

Following the chairman's shout, the soldiers from the Magic Council all cheered loudly, showing the generosity of the northern man.

"Hehe..."

Evan smiled and did not say anything.

"Hmph!"

As for Kurnugi, he had nothing to say. After all, he was the dragon that had been resisted.

Then, the chairman said a lot of encouraging words, and then the banquet began. Everyone began to drink, eat at, and watch the dancers perform.

In this regard, Evan only drank fruit juice with Kurnugi.

Just as the banquet was in full swing, the originally tightly shut banquet hall door was suddenly pushed open...

A tall man with scars all over his body strode into the banquet hall of the Magic Council.

The strong man looked around the banquet hall and locked his eyes on Evan and Kurnugi who was beside Evan. At the sa ti, the entire banquet hall quieted down because of the strong man's intrusion.

"Rogue Cheney, why are you here, you bastard?!"

The chairman of the Magic Council sat in his seat. He looked at Cheney who had barged into the banquet hall and asked angrily.

"Haha..."

"Aren't I here to fulfil the agreent between you and ? I am willing to admit defeat. From today onwards, our dragon devourers will be part of your Magic Council. In the future, we, dragon devourers, will have to thank you for your help..."

The tall man whose entire body was covered with sutured scars was none other than Dragon Devourers, Rogue Cheney.

"Get the hell out of here! You are not welco here!"

The chairman stood up from his seat and roared at Rogue Cheney.

"Haha! Calm down, Mr. Chairman. I'm not actually here to look for you..."

Rogue Cheney ignored the chairman, who was sitting on the main seat, and walked to the front of Evan and Kurnugi.

"Kid! Give that dragon and join our Dragon Devourer. What do you think?"

Rogue Cheney looked at Evan and Kurnugi with a grim smile.
