Alia didn't hear from Blaze for the rest of the day after he left the villa. She decided to give him so space to let him cool off by focusing her mind on other pressing issues that needed to be addressed.
She reached out to Stacy on the phone and spoke with her at length, on the matter concerning Tina and her mission to turn their friends against her.
After fixing a eting with the girls excluding Tina for the next day, Alia retired to her bedroom for the night.
The following morning, Alia arose expecting to see Blaze seated in her bedroom like he always did. But to her disappointnt, he wasn't there. She picked up her phone and checked for missed calls and text ssages from him but there were none. Releasing a sigh, she decided to go about the rest of her day, focusing on other productive indoor activities until it was ti to leave the villa for her eting.
All this ti, she didn't check her phone for any ssages or missed calls since she wasn't expecting anything.
Decked in fitted jeans, a blush pink jacket with a white inner camisole and paired with sleek matching sneakers, Alia picked up her phone from the bed stand where she left it and threw it into her handbag. She left her bedroom and was in the process of climbing down the stairs when she heard the housekeeper greeting soone formally with so much reverence. She was about to ask who the housekeeper was talking to when Blaze ca into view.
"Blaze!" Alia's eyes widened in surprise. She had spent the entire day trying not to think about him. But seeing him now she couldn't get her eyes off him.
He was looking dapper and handso as always in his cool all-black leather outfit. His eyes were hidden behind the dark aviator sunglasses he was wearing, making it difficult for Alia to see his eyes. But his calm expression told her that he was no longer angry with her.
"I can see you are already dressed up," Blaze said casually, taking off his glasses to reveal his srizing grey eyes which were devoid of the initial rage.
Alia felt hypnotized by those magical eyes as she remained glued to a single spot while he scrutinized her from head to toe, making his way towards her in slow motion.
"Although I would have suggested a dress, I guess we would have to make do with this."
Alia saw his lips moving but failed to comprehend his words imdiately. She felt completely lost as he ca up to her and snaked his right hand around her waist.
She held her breath as he casually brushed his lips against hers in a feathery kiss, acting as though there was no bitterness between them.
"If you keep staring at that way, I may be forced to kiss you deeper, ruining your makeup." Blaze nuzzled her on the cheek before releasing her waist.
"Shall we, Mrs Anderson?" He extended his right hand towards her.
"Huh!" Alia blinked twice, her gaze darting between his magical eyes and his extended hand. It was at this point her frozen brain began to function.
"Are we going sowhere?"
A crease appeared on Blaze's forehead but quickly disappeared as though it was never there in the first place.
"Didn't you get the ssage from and my mum?"
"You? Your mum? When?" Alia was more confused, her heart thumping rapidly at Blaze's words.
Blaze sighed, trying his best not to get irritated.
"Where is your phone?" He asked plainly.
"In my handbag." Alia's forehead furrowed as she recalled she hadn't checked her phone all day because she was trying to get her mind off him.
"Can you bring it out and check?"
"Umm...sure..." Alia exhaled through her mouth as she unzipped her handbag and brought out her iPhone.
"I sent you a ssage around 2:00 PM informing you to get ready before 4:00 PM," Blaze stated as he watched her browse through her ssages with slight irritation.
Alia saw that Maria had sent her three different ssages, one around 9:00 AM and the other two around 12: 00 and 1:30 PM, respectively.
In the first ssage, Maria was inviting her to a family Sunday dinner at her ho. The other two ssages were just reminders.
Alia also saw a text ssage from Blaze confirming his earlier assertion.
"If you weren't aware of the dinner, why were you all dressed up? Where are you going out?" Blaze asked succinctly.
"Yes." Alia moved away from him to avoid looking into those intimidating eyes, her heart pounding in her chest as though she had committed a cri. "I was going to et with my friends to address so important issues. I had no idea about your mum's invite." She was expecting Blaze to flare up and bark at her. But to her surprise, he chastised her in a subtle tone.
"That is why it is called a mobile phone and not a landline. You should always carry it around in case you receive an urgent ssage. You never no, it could be a life or death situation."
"Sorry," Alia said genuinely without looking in his direction.
"Being sorry doesn't fix it. You know how my mom has taken a special liking to you. She has gone out of her way just to prepare for your arrival. She'll be greatly disappointed if you don't make it."
Alia felt guilty as she turned around to et Blaze's expressionless gaze.
"I could reschedule the ti of eting with my friends. That ans instead of 4:00 PM we could still et by 7:00 PM after I leave your mom's house. Does that sound okay?"
"Whatever works for you," Blaze said as he walked past her towards the door, masking his bubbling anger with an indifferent expression. "et in the car."
Alia released a deep sigh as she assessed her outfit a second ti. She thought briefly and decided to go back upstairs and change to a dress.
Ten minutes later, Alia erged from the villa draped in a knee-length flare peach dress, paired with matching stiletto heels that gave her a modest look. She had her hair styled upwards in a loose chignon, held in place with a fancy pin.
"Good evening, ma'am." Pascal smiled politely, holding the rear seat door to Blaze Black Roll Royce Phantom edition, open.
Alia smiled briefly in acknowledgent before entering the car.
Pascal promptly shut the door before taking his place in the front passenger seat.
Blaze, who was busy browsing through his phone lifted his head to look at Alia.
"This is way better for this occasion than your first look." He comnted in admiration.
"Thanks." Alia inhaled and exhaled, to stifle her anxiety, her gaze on the side window as the car started moving. She tried to focus her thoughts on anything aside from the infuriating handso devil seated beside her.
"Alia," Blaze called softly.
A crease appeared on her forehead as she felt him move closer to her until there was no more space between them.
Blaze gently placed his hand on her interlocked fingers, a frown flashing across his eyes as she withdrew her hands from his touch.
"Look at ."
Alia hesitated before tilting her head in his direction. "What now?"
"You seem a bit tense. I want you to relax and act natural around ."
"You don't have to worry about my acting skills," Alia replied holding his intense gaze. "You should be more concerned about your temper because I'm not a robot."
Blaze chuckled at her fiesty words. He lifted her hands up to his lips and said. "Then you must try not to do anything silly that would make lose my temper." He planted a kiss on her hand.
Alia almost rolled her eyes at him but quickly lowered her gaze.
Blaze smirked, releasing her hands.
"My mom already suspects that we are dating based on your previous reaction to my presence."
"Whose fault Is it?" Alia echoed in her heart as Blaze continued talking.
"After our last discussion based on your last encounter with that fool who by the way is currently atoning for his sins..."
Alia raised an eyebrow, confused.
"...I have given it a serious thought and I think there's no need for us to keep our status a secret any longer. At dinner tonight, I will formally introduce you to my mom as the woman I'm secretly married to."
Alia looked up to et his gaze.
"Really!"
"Yes. You are my wife and I want all those bonehead out there to stay clear of what is mine."
"Sure a jealous prick." Alia thought in her heart.
"Going forward, you will be addressed as Mrs Alia Anderson and no longer Miss Alia. Does that sound go to you?"
Alia's eyes brightened. "Yes. It sounds great."
"I'm happy you think so." Blaze leaned back in his seat, his intense gaze still on her.
"Can I tell my friends?"
Blaze shrugged. "I don't see any reason why you shouldn't tell them."
"Yes!" Alia couldn't hide her excitent. She couldn't wait to tell Joanna and the rest of her friends that Blaze Anderson was her husband.
"You can also inform your family mbers that you are married to because I won't take lightly with anyone that attempts to hurt my wife going forward." Blaze returned his gaze to his phone screen, not bothering to look at the horror in Alia's eyes.
