Alia and Henry -back in his disguise- strolled out of the restaurant towards the parking lots, holding hands like a real couple and chatting freely. They arrived at the parking lot just in ti to see Blaze disappear into the limo while slamming the door in Tina's face.
"Ouch! That must really hurt." Henry almost felt sorry for Tina. But when he rembered how she left Blaze broken and bitter for a long ti, he snickered at Tina's dejected state.
Alia on the other hand couldn't be more proud of Blaze. A wicked smile crept up her lips as she watched Tina stand dejectedly by the side of the black limo, which was now pulling away. She was glad that neither Blaze nor his mother gave Tina any attention after all her egocentric attitude and confidence.
"Serves her right." Alia echoed in her heart, turning her face forward as Tina tilted her head backwards, her face covered in tears.
"Poor Tina," Henry muttered under his breath, chuckling. "Blake must have given it to her real hard."
'He knows Tina?' Alia was stunned. She was about to probe further when she heard Tina's unmistakable broken voice calling her na.
"What now?" Alia hissed under her breath.
Henry observed the was Alia's body stiffened in his arm as Tina hurried towards them. He leaned closer to her ear and whispered.
"I can get rid of her if you want to."
Although Henry's action was genuine and harmless, his warm breath which was in contrast to the cool evening breeze fanned against Alia's ear, causing a shiver to run down her spine.
Henry's action caught Alia off guard. She looked up to et his softened gaze, a posture that depicted a couple about to share an intimate mont.
Tina, who was now standing a few ters from them was left in a daze. The averagely handso bearded man in plain jeans and a white shirt seed enthralled by the beauty in his arms. Even a blind man could tell that he was in love. But Alia's response was more of a surprise than attraction.
"Could this be her husband?" Tina muttered under her breath. "Have I been accusing her wrongly? But it was her voice I heard. She was the one talking to Blaze. But why didn't he escort her out of the restaurant if they were lovers? Why did he leave her all by herself to another man?"
Tina recalled how possessive and protective Blaze was towards her while they were still dating. He could never stand a man holding her this close or lusting over her in the open. Sothing was wrong sowhere and she was desperate to find out before making a blunder.
"Okay." Alia heard herself whisper back to Henry. She was thankful Blaze wasn't physically present to witness this otherwise, Herry would have lost more than a tooth.
"Okay," Henry said in his usual playful voice as Tina got closer to them.
"That is close enough!" Pascal ca forward, scowling at her.
"Alia, I'm sorry." Tina, whose eyes were already teary, switched into her actress mood, cupping her face with both hands and sniffling out loud.
"Who is this, honey?"
"Honey?" Tina echoed in her heart, a thin smile slowly taking shape at the corner of her lips, as she peeked through her slightly parted fingers.
'Blaze is going to kill us.' Alia instantly regretted accepting Henry's help. But she still played along, not wanting to hurt his feelings.
"It's an acquaintance I t at the bar so days ago," Alia replied forcing a smile on her face while massaging her forehead as though she had a migraine.
"Acquaintance!" Tina removed her hands from her reddened face to reveal the hurt in her eyes. "Alia I thought we were friends."
"Look here, lady..." Henry said sternly in his foreign accent, making Alia stifle a chuckle. "... I will not have you disturbing my sweetheart. We have sowhere special to be tonight and your presence is ruining our fun. If your boyfriend dumped you, go find another. A pretty girl like you shouldn't chase a man." He shooed Tina as though she was so sort of a pesky fly while leading Alia towards her car.
Although Alia was inwardly troubled by Henry's choice of words, she was beyond thrilled at his face-slapping statent. It almost felt as though she was in one of his movies where the fake heroine is tossed aside for the true female lead protagonist.
'What a beautiful unscripted short drama.' Alia thought.
Although irked by Alia's lover's statent, Tina was inwardly joyful to hear him speak so passionately about her. Could it be that she had been wrong all this while? The fact that Blaze saved Alia didn't necessarily an that he was in love with her. Moreover, Blaze wasn't the type to fall in love so easily.
This only ant two things. Either this strangely familiar-looking man is responsible for the diamond ring on Alia's finger or he was her secret lover. But whatever be the case, Tina saw it as a win-win. She gets to keep Alia as a friend and win Blaze's heart without any competition.
Quickly switching back to her friendly and endearing nature, Tina hurried after Alia and her lover, trying her best not to trip over on her pencil heels. She called out to Alia, begging her to stop.
Alia, who was inches away from her car finally turned around, her face devoid of emotions.
"Can you please let be?" Alia snapped angrily, taking Henry by surprise. "Why are you chasing and calling my na out loud? Do I owe you anything? You are seriously beginning to get on my nerves."
"Alia, I'm so sorry." Tina held out her hands towards Alia. But Pascal wouldn't let her co within ten feet closer. "I know you are angry at for so of the things I said back at the restroom. The truth is that I felt insecure and jealous when I learned that you were friends with my ex's mother. Please, forgive ."
"I bear no grudges against you, Tina. Nevertheless, whom I choose to keep as my friend is none of your business. And please, stop trying so hard to be friends with . It makes your motives suspicious. Good evening." Alia hissed and walked away, climbing into the rear seat of her car which was held open by Lance.
Tina stood there and watched as Alia's sleek black Bentley drove by, closely followed by her SUV escort. She quickly wiped her tears scoffing at the disappearing headlight.
"Who wants to be friends with a broken record?" She hissed and turned around, heading back for the restaurant when she received a call from Remy. She swiped the receive button and said angrily.
"What is the problem?"
"I think you need to leave quickly. There is trouble." Remy said in a panicked voice.
"Trouble?" Tina quickened her steps. "What's the matter."
"You know the waiter whom we paid to spy on Alia and her company?"
"Yes?"
"The cops are here to pick him up?"
"What?"
