The next morning, after Henry and his foster family had bade farewell to the island they once called ho, the luxury cruise departed for the long journey ahead, its soft horn echoing across the shimring sea.
Henry and Sarah stood together at the far end of the upper deck, tucked away in a quiet, isolated corner near the railings while the rest of the family gave them the needed privacy.
The wind ruffled their hair as they held onto each other, staring at the ocean which stretched endlessly before them like a living canvas.
Sarah leaned slightly into him, their arms brushing against each other with a familiarity she hoped would soon return naturally.
"You know," Henry murmured, his gaze locked on the endless blue, "I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of this view."
Sarah smiled faintly. "You always said the ocean was your favourite place. Even before... everything."
"Yeah!" Henry bead eting her warm gaze. "But enough of . Tell more about yourself. You said you’re into movies now. And you’re also made ntion of a musical band...the umm...."
"The Sparrow XXX band," Sarah said, chuckling.
"Yes...that one." Henry grinned, stroking her arm. "You also said you’re a software engineer too? How do you manage all that?"
She giggled softly. "Well... I try. Playing the guitar is a hobby and a passion for . The movie was just an excuse for to get closer to you. But when I got involved I fell in love with it. As for my career path, software engineering has always been a dream. I always looked forward to graduating top of my class." Her smile dimd slightly. "It’s such a pity I didn’t get to attend my graduation ceremony though."
"Why?" Henry frowned.
Sarah hesitated. Her fingers twisted nervously around the railing.
"Because... I...was abducted." Her voice fell to a whisper.
Henry stopped breathing for a mont, her words slashing through his heart, "Abducted?" he echoed, his jaw tightening.
She nodded slowly.
"By who?"
Sarah looked up at him, her eyes slightly misty. "By... You know what we shouldn’t be discussing this. I don’t want you to stress yourself trying to rember anything."
"It’s fine Sarah. You can talk to ." He said, his voice tender and reassuring. "Even though I don’t rember anything now. I’d still like to know the animal that abducted you."
"Not just ..." Sarah lifted her hand to stroke his chin. "Us."
"What?!"
Sarah nodded her head, tears falling down her shimring eyes. "He abducted us."
"Who?"
"His na is Sebastian." Sarah felt a cold shiver run down her spine at the ntion of his na.
"Sebastian!" The na rolled like poison across Henry’s tongue. "And he... who was he to you?"
"A creep who was obsessed with ." Sarah spat out, more tears blurring her vision. She recounted how she t Sebastian and how they beca friends until the point she decided she didn’t like him around her due to his possessive nature.
Henry’s gaze darkened, his jaw ticking as he said. "Tell about the abduction and do not leave anything out."
Sarah exhaled, leaning her head on Henry’s chest as she began to recount a painful tale.
Henry’s pulse began to roar like waves smashing rocks as Sarah talked about the forced marriage before Sebastian finally opened fire on him.
"So that bastard is the reason why I ended up in the sea." Henry’s chest rose sharply, fury igniting in his veins.
"Yes... And that was just the beginning of my misery." Sarah went on to talk about her experience on the island and how Sebastian nearly violated her on several occasions up until her near-death escapes that landed her in the hospital, where Blaze found her.
"That bastard." A dangerous glint flashed across Henry’s eyes. "He tried to separate us by attempting to kill ?" He whispered through clenched teeth.
Sarah looked away. "Yes."
"And he kept you prisoner afterwards?"
"Yes." Tears stread down Sarah’s flushed face as she recalled the revolting kisses she had to endure just to plan her escape.
"He took everything from ...my mory, my life." Henry’s chest heaved with a blend of fury and bitterness as he asked the next question
"Did he touch you?"
Sarah hesitated, trembling with so much pain and humiliation. "He tried... forcing punishing kisses on and hitting whenever I fought back. I had to compromise with his kisses just to stop him from raping and to give enough ti to plan my escape."
Henry’s fingers tightened on the railing until his knuckles turned white. The ocean breeze suddenly felt colder and darker as he pictured everything in his head.
Inhaling deeply, he pulled Sarah into his arms holding her so close until there was no space between them. Then he planted a kiss on the centre of her head as he vowed.
"I swear on everything I hold dear, if that bastard isn’t already dead, I will rip out his heart while he still breathes and gut him like a fish just for you."
Sarah lifted her teary eyes to look at Henry’s eyes. "All those nights in captivity, do you know what I regretted the most?"
Henry shook his head, wiping her tears with his thumb.
"Not giving myself to you."
Henry’s anger lted, and in place of anger, desire rose– powerful, possessive and overwhelming. He leaned closer and brushed his lips against Sarah’s. "I’m sorry."
Sarah’s breath trembled against his lips as she whispered,
"I don’t want to wait any longer, Henry... I want you. I want my first ti to be with you and only you. My heart, my soul, and my body yearn for your touch. Please, make whole again with your love."
Henry froze montarily, her words hitting him like fire and ice all at once.
Her boldness, her trust and her devotion to him despite his state, left him breathless.
"Sarah..." He breathed, but she lifted her hand and cupped his cheek, her eyes shimring like the waves below.
"I’m yours," she whispered. "If you still want ... then make love to . Let your lips and your hands do all the talking. No more words."
Henry didn’t wait for a second invitation. He crashed his lips on hers and kissed her tenderly.
He was slow at first, almost contemplating, as if confirming her request and when she kissed him back with the eagerness of a starved kitten, he let his emotions go wild.
He kissed her deeper, his hunger fueled by months of loss, longing and mories he could not reach but felt in his bones.
Sarah lted into him, fingers curling into his shirt as she kissed him with trembling innocence and desperate yearning.
Her sweetness and the subtle whimper she made when he lifted her off the railings, intoxicated him.
"God, Sarah..." Henry murmured against her lips, "...you don’t know what you’re doing to ."
She smiled faintly, completely breathless. "Show ... then."
