"My goodness! You call that a simple song choice!" Violet was the first to exclaim out loud, her eyes gleaming with wonder. "That was a difficult song choice and you nailed it."
Karl whistled next. "Incredible performance. I was completely blown away."
"I've never seen soone play so beautifully and passionately like you do." Anthony applauded.
"I will pay a hundred thousand bucks to watch you play, Sarah." Bobby clapped and cheered for her.
"Where have you been hiding all this while?" Pete asked, beaming from cheek to cheek.
Sarah was completely overwheld by the positive review.
This was the first ti she was playing in front of people who weren't her family or very close friends.
Although her family always supported and applauded her for her talent, she never did believe that she was that good compared to a trained guitarist.
But listening to the positive remarks from people she considered instruntal geniuses ant the whole world to her.
"Thank you," Sarah whispered, smiling, without realizing tears streaming down her flushed face.
"Hey!" Henry ca up to her and before he could ask her if she was okay, she threw her arms around him and hugged him so tightly, stealing his breath away.
"Thank you for this," Sarah whispered, her heart bursting with emotions.
"You are welco anyti," Henry whispered back to her, his drumming heart lting into a slow rhythm.
"Hey... Can you love birds save this for later?" Violet teased, and Sarah quickly pulled away from Henry, blushing really hard.
"We are just friends." Sarah corrected, wiping her moist cheeks.
"Sure!" Violet chuckled, recalling Henry's earlier plea. "So tell us, how long have you been playing?"
"Since I was five," Sarah replied, feeling a bit at ease as she spoke. "Back then, my dad got a guitar as a birthday present and I instantly fell in love with the instrunt. I have been playing ever since but not in public."
"You an to tell us you haven't had any prior training?" Bobby gave her an incredulous look.
"Not really. However, I learned a trick or two from famous guitarists on YouTube and TikTok. I watched them play and I try to replicate what they've done." Sarah said, feeling proud of herself while wondering what she sounded like when she was playing.
"Have you ever considered playing professionally? You're very good with the instrunt." Anthony noted.
"Umm... I never thought of pursuing music as a career. It's more like a hobby to ." Sarah replied.
"Well, that is a good thing. Everyone in this room has other things they do. But our love for music and instrunts brings us together. Musicians all over the world contact us and hire us to play for them. So we accept but others we decline based on our schedule." Anthony explained.
"Wow! You guys must be living the life." Sarah bead, imagining herself playing behind her favourite all-ti musicians, the Evans brothers.
"How would you like to beco a mber of the Sparrow XXX band. We could always use another guitarist in our crew. Violet would help improve your talent, and you can get to play with us anyti you are free." Anthony offered.
Sarah's jaw dropped, her widened gaze shifting to Henry and back to Anthony.
"You're kidding , right?"
"Nope." Anthony shook his head, smiling. "It will be our honour to have you on our crew. Moreover, Violet will soon be leaving this group to start up a family."
"Yeah!" Violet made a crying face that made everyone burst into laughter. "But once a Sparrow..."
"Always a Sparrow." The entire crew chanted making a magical flying bird hand signal that captivated Henry and Sarah.
"Don't worry, Sarah, I still have a year with the crew before my wedding. It will be my honour to teach you all I know and have you play by my side.
"So what is it going to be? Would you like to beco a Sparrow?" Anthony asked.
"Also, no pressure. You can take your ti and decide. It's an open invitation." Pete added, sensing the hesitation in Sarah's body language.
"I don't know what to say." Sarah cupped her mouth, her excitent scaling up the roof.
"Say, yes." Violet took hold of Sarah's hand, loving every bit of her innocent smile.
Sarah nodded, laughing and, at the sa ti, crying. "Yes."
"Yes!" Henry shot his fist in the air triumphantly. His first mission of getting Sarah signed into a musical band was now a success.
"Yes!" Violet embraced Sarah.
"Welco to the Sparrow XXX band." All the groups chanted, picking up their various musical instrunts and welcoming Sarah in their traditional musical way.

Alia hadn't been herself ever since she returned ho from the hospital. She was visibly shaken by the mory of the unconscious, badly injured pregnant woman and the fate of the unborn child.
Every attempt to get those thoughts out of her mind failed miserably. It felt like a dark cloud surrounding her heart and stealing her peace.
It made her lose her appetite for food. It deprived her of her sleep. It's kept her in a state of restlessness.
Already dressed in her warm cotton pyjamas for the night, Alia lay down on the bed and tried to close her eyes.
Sadly, sleep never ca. All she saw was the bleeding, broken head of the unconscious woman, causing her to snap her eyes open.
She sat up on her bed, hands trembling as she picked up a pillow and cuddled it close to her chest. She wished Blaze was by her side to cheer her up and take away these troubling thoughts from her mind. She wished she could call him on the phone and listen to his soothing voice.
But none of that was possible. Not when he was thousands of kilotres away, surrounded by dangerous people who wanted him dead.
The sa people who she once called her family. The sa people responsible for every terrible thing that had happened in her life. The sa people who would soon regain their freedom and inflict more harm.
"When will all of this hating, jealousy and pain end?" Alia's lips quivered her grip around the pillow tightening.
