Blaze spoke briefly with Tina, keeping the conversation formal and polite. He outrightly declined her invitation to dinner later that evening and asked her to have a nice day before ending the call.

"I'm going to break Eugene's arm, so help God," Blaze swore under his breath as he returned back to his seat.

Pouring himself a glass of wine, he swallowed the whole content in on single gulp, gritting his teeth at the burning sensation at the back of his throat. His initial hunger was replaced with fury as he glared at the food on the table with so much disdain.

Marcus ate quietly, keeping his slightly amused gaze lowered to avoid his boss's wrath.

The deafening silence prolonged for another five minutes before Blaze finally spoke.

"Find out what Tina Stevens is up to," Blaze said coldly without any sense of attachnt to the latter. "I need to know exactly when she really arrived in the city, who she has been talking to, how she was able to track down my gullible cousin and what her current mission is."

"Yes sir."

Blaze stood up, picking up his jacket and laptop bag.

"Quickly finish up here and go pick Alia from her damn auntie's house. I want her back to the villa before it gets dark."

"Yes sir." Marcus watched his boss walk out of the VIP lounge, looking more tense than he was when he first arrived. He almost felt sorry for him seeing that Tina had succeeded in ruining his appetite. It's such a pity she doesn't know the troubled water she had just stirred with that unwise move.

Blaze could have her disappear permanently from the city if she ddles in his affairs.

Regina almost lost her mind in the hospital when she received updates from Matt, informing her that Alia left the house with so of Gwen's stuff.

After seeing off her husband who had co to check up on Gwen, she hurriedly made her way back to the private VIP ward where Gwen was currently resting.

Thankfully, everyone except Jerry had left Gwen to relax after she underwent a total number of twenty-five stitches to close up her injuries.

Jerry was seated beside Gwen, shalessly playing the dotting lover, when Regina barged in on them.

"Gina..." Jerry was surprised to see Regina's face puffed and uptight. "What's the matter?"

"Nothing. Can I have a word with my daughter in private?" Regina said dryly.

"Sure, Gina. I will wait outside."

Jerry slowly stood up, a little curious about Regina's motives. He didn't like the fact that Gwen was not completely open with him concerning the sharing of the money. But he had his ga plans set. The conniving pair won't know what hit them when the ti ca.

Turning his enchanting smiles to his love-sick puppet, Jerry pressed his lips sensually on Gwen's forehead, smiling sweetly at her.

"If you need , honey, I'm just a breath away."

"Alright, baby. I love you." Gwen's cheeks glowed pinkish red as she blew kisses to him.

Jerry maintained his charming smile until the door was completely shut before reverting to his true colors. He brought an earpiece from a wireless transmission device and plugged it into his ears while taking a seat in the VIP ward hallway.

Regina ensured that the atmosphere was clear before turning her caustic gaze to her daughter.

"How could you be so foolish, Gwen?"

Gwen's attempt at frowning only ended up straining her fresh stitches.

"What have I done again, Mom? Haven't I apologized to you and Jerry about the fall? I didn't plan for this to happen. I just wanted to get that f**king b**ch in trouble."

"I'm not talking about your stupid idea of hurting yourself, Gwen. Common sense should have told you that falling on a glass stool would have dire consequences."

"Then what is this about?" Gwen's cheeks burned with anger. "Just spit it out already. I'm having a terrible headache."

"A headache is going to be the least of your problems if Alia finds evidence of all our past deals." Regina spat out between clenched jaws. "You left your bedroom door unlocked, Gwen. Thanks to your sloppiness, that snake was able to gain access to your bedroom room. Do you know what that ans?"

Gwen's pupils dilated in complete shock as she recalled how she left her bedroom in a hurry leaving her laptop, phone and so of Alia's credit cards in plain sight. "Did she..."

"Yes." Regina angrily cut her daughter off. "She ransacked your room, trashing so of your stuff. Unfortunately, we didn't get to see her in action because there are no caras in your bedroom. But we do know that she left with so of your stuff including your laptop."

"What!" Gwen felt suddenly breathless as though she were about to have a heart attack.

"And there is more," Regina said leaning really close to her daughter's ear. "I think she may be onto us. She discovered the audio spy bug you planted in that stupid blue vase which I rembered asking you to get rid of but you never did. I made contact with Lin to do a follow-up on her. But it seems after she arrived at Judith's place, all the transmission signals were jamd and lost. Currently, we do not have eyes or ears on her. We do not know if she's staying over at Judith's place since her cars are still parked there. We do not know what she is planning to do. She is a freaking loose cannon and it's either we fix this mistake or it may as well be the end for the both of us."

"No..." Gwen shook her head as she slowly lifted herself out of the bed, her head throbbing and her heart pounding in her mouth. "We have to do sothing, mom."

"Definitely!" Regina concurred.

"I have to get my laptop and other stuff back. We can't let her get a step ahead of us. We can't let her win when we are this close to victory. Go get the doctor. I think I'm ready to be discharged."

"Now you are talking." A sly grin slowly stretched across Regina's lips.

After spending a morable day with extended family who truly cared, Alia left her Aunt's house in a different car with her three bodyguards.

Upon arrival at the villa which Blaze had discreetly acquired in her na, Alia was completely blown away by the beauty and luxury all around her.

The villa was a grandeur haven of modern-day sophistication and beauty, which spoke volus of great wealth and power, befitting for a true heiress.

From the lavish exterior design, overlooking a captivating water fountain, to the exquisite interior furnishing, with breathtaking views, the villa was nothing short of a paradise.

Being a girl who had grown up in so much wealth and sophistication, such opulent surroundings weren't strange to Alia. But coming from a man she never considered as a possible lover or even friend, it felt so special.

Thinking of the great task ahead and the information she had gathered so far, Alia wasted no ti in settling into her new ho. She spent more than half of the night working tirelessly, putting certain new asures on the ground that would kickstart the course of her revenge battle.

By the following morning, Alia was up and ready to rewrite her story.

She scheduled a 7:00 AM eting with the managent team at LiLa Savvy, excluding Jerry and Gwen.

When Alia stepped into the grand reception hall of LiLa Savvy, closely followed by two hefty but sexy-looking n in a black suit and dark shades, heads began to turn and eyes gawk.

Cladded in a well-fitted immaculate white pantsuit, paired with beige stiletto heels and a matching designer handbag, Alia was the true definition of a boss lady with an edge. Her soft textured hair was neatly styled into a pretty ponytail and her makeup though mild was captivating.

With an infectious smile framing her cherry-red lips, she looked like a sensational fashion model walking the ramp.

"Good morning, ma'am."

"Welco back, ma'am."

"Is good to have you back, ma'am."

"You look aweso, ma'am."

Most of the elated company staff at the reception hall greeted her enthusiastically, giving her a standing and clapping ovation.

While so of them secretly sympathized with her over her husband's scandalous affairs with her stepsister, others felt it was her husband's loss to cheat on such a pretty and powerful woman.

But one thing was certain, everyone knew the cheating couple days in the company was about to co to an end. There was no way the CEO would allow them to continue working in the company.

Consequently, loyalty started shifting towards the winning side. No one was ready to lose their job over the heartless forr acting CEO.

Alia curtly acknowledged all the complints directed towards her, smiling sweetly as she made her way towards the private elevator that would take her to the third floor where the conference eting room was located.

Words about Alia's arrival at the company soon began to spread like wildfire and in no ti, Jerry and Gwen got wind of the eting and hastily made their way into the company premises.

Since Alia was yet to effect any changes concerning their managerial status at the company, the duo shalessly made their way into the office commanding their usual forced attention and respect.
