"If only wishes were horses..."
Alia slowly tapped her freshly manicured nails on the table, each strike, sounding like a bullet hitting its mark. She lowered her gaze temporarily as if weighing a thought before looking up, her icy gaze enough to freeze an entire lake.
"But since I didn't co here to talk about my husband, I will pretend you didn't just call him a cold-blooded murderer. Six months can always change into six years or a lifeti behind bars in the blink of an eye."
"Are you threatening ?" Gwen looked up at the overhead cara and at the guard standing behind her as if to say, "I hope you guys are recording this conversation."
But the female guard seed uninterested in Gwen's alard expression. She was too preoccupied, admiring the infamous Mrs Alia Anderson who had been dominating social dia space for challenging the security system of another country while defending her husband's innocence.
"Certainly not, dear step sister. I'm not the kind of woman who threatens people. I'm simply stating the fact. If you haven't noticed yet, you're speaking to Mrs Alia Anderson. You should always choose your words carefully."
Gwen's heart started hamring in her chest as the thought of spending one more week behind bars with all those psychopaths caused her to break into a cold sweat.
If only 6 months can turn her into this fat, ugly duckling, who knew what six years would do to her and her unborn child.
"What do you want here?" Gwen spat out, a blend of anger and anxiety lacing her tone.
"Now you're talking." A wicked smirk curled up Alia's lips.
"I ca here to make a friendly proposition for the sake of peace. Since it has taken a lot of hard work and dedication to get rid of all the filth in the Shawls mansion, I was thinking about permanently sending you away from this city to start up your life afresh and on a clean slate with your child."
Gwen scoffed. "You must be kidding, right?"
"Do you see laughing?" Alia maintained a straight face.
"I always knew you wanted and Mum out of Dad's life. But guess what, after I leave this place, I am going straight ho. I will live in that mansion and give birth to my child in that mansion. So you can shove your stinking proposition up your ass." Gwen's last statent was so loud that it caught the attention of those seated on either of her sides, including the female guard.
The inmates in booths two and four both scowled at Gwen before returning to their conversation.
When the female guard tried to caution Gwen about her rude statent, Alia raised a finger and waved it, nonverbally asking the guard to stand down.
"You disappoint again, Gwen." Alia sighed as if broken by her words. "Unfortunately, I had no intention of making the sa proposition twice. You just lost your chance of getting a little token from . Now here are your options. Tomorrow, when Dad cos to check on you, you will tell him everything you know about Raquel Torres..."
Gwen's pupil dilated in shock, her chest tightening as if Alia had just stabbed her. "How do you know my mom's real na."
Alia completely ignored her as she continue talking into the phone mouthpiece.
"... You will tell him how an unholy union brought about your existence and how your real father forced his mistress into a happy ho."
Gwen's hands began to tremble, with beads of sweat crowding her forehead. "Alia, please, you can't make do this. Rember Dad's heart condition. Such information will kill him."
Alia sneered, "Point of correction, he is not your dad. You are not even a legitimate child of Matt Shawls. You are just a bastard child pretending to be a legitimate child. But it ends now. It's either you confess to Dad or you disappear completely like the coward that you are? Either way, Dad and Grandma will still find out the whole truth. Good day."
"Alia..."
Alia dropped the intercom before Gwen could plead her case. She turned around and left the visiting room while Gwen kept screaming like a deranged woman.
"Alia, please... you can't do this to . You can't do this to ... I am begging you..."
It took three female guards to drag Gwen out of the visiting room, with her screaming, kicking and trying to hurt herself.
Due to Gwen's unstable state after Alia's visit, she was taken to the prison infirmary where she was kept sedated and monitored for the rest of the day.
Two hours after Alia left the Nova correctional facility, Nora was approached by another inmate with a secret package.
Nora quickly stashed this small neatly wrapped package inside her panties and disappeared into the prison laundry section when the guards were not watching.
For a pregnant woman, Nora was very light on her feet and agile. The sound of multiple operational machines and workers chatting engulfed the entire large room.
No one seed to notice Nora disappearing behind one of the automatic washing machines to her secret hideout. She was as stealthy as a prowling Jaguar and as quiet as a mouse.
Upon arriving at her location, Nora checked everywhere to ensure that no one was spying on her. She flash dialled a number and waited for the other person to call back.
After ten minutes, the phone vibrated and she quickly pressed the receive button.
"You better have a good reason for calling." An angry male voice echoed from the other end.
"Alia was here and from the Intel I gathered, she's planning to expose Gwen's real paternity to the Senator."
"I'll take care of that. Anything else?" The male voice appeared more chiller and vicious.
"Are you still arranging to get out of this place once Gwen is released?"
"Just stick to the initial schedule. Everything has been arranged. Now, get rid of this phone."
The call instantly disconnected.

They bargained that Desmond, Regina and Pearl's sentencing be reduced to nine months and Matt's, to one year.
But Alia was completely against this idea. She refused to consider even when her dad tried preaching forgiveness and issuing her a check for one-eighth of everything stolen from her.
