"Hi!" Alia's voice sounded croaked as she tried to speak. "You ca."
"Of course, I did." Blaze bent over and kissed her first on the forehead before planting a gentle kiss on her dry lips making her cheek glow and her lips curve in a faint smile.
"Your work..."
"Shh..." Blaze cut her off, seeing the guilt in her eyes. "None of that matters. You are my priority and I'm here for you." He said perching by the side of her bed, holding her right hand tenderly in his.
Alia's eyes glistened with tears at those words. "Thanks." She blinked back her tears, squeezing his hands tenderly.

"You don't have to be," Alia said softly as she raised her hand to stroke his flushed face, amazed to see him looking so emotionally vulnerable. "I'm okay."
Blaze nodded and kissed her on the hand. He leaned closer so that their face was just a few inches apart while stroking her hair backwards. "Tell , how do you feel?"
"Better, now that you're here," Alia whispered, evoking a cosmic smile on his face. She giggled a little as he nuzzled her on the tip of her nose.
" too." Blaze kissed her again on the lips.
"You know I threw up right and I've only rinsed my mouth with water." Alia reminded him slightly embarrassed by his kisses.
"Really!" Blaze raised an eyebrow. "How co you taste so good."
"What!" Alia chuckled. "You're kidding right."
"No," Blaze said, kissing her deeply this ti.
"Can you help set up?" Alia asked when their lips parted.
"Sure." Blaze helped her into a sitting position by adjusting her bed head and the pillow behind her back. "Are you comfortable?"
"Yes. Thank you, sweetheart."
"You're welco. Would you like anything else?"

"I can drink by myself." Amina lifted I had to collect the glass but Blaze moved it away from her grasp.

"Just this once." Alia accepted the water from him, her glistening eyes filled with so much love as she held his magical gaze.
Just then, a knock on the door disrupted the attender mont, making Alia's heart skip a bit.
Pascal opened the door from outside to let the doctor and so nurses in.
At the sight of Dr Ashley, Alia felt her heart almost leap out of her chest.
All this while, she hadn't thought about her pregnancy or anything else. She had been so carried away with Blaze's affection that she forgot she was keeping sothing huge away from him.
"Good day, Mrs Anderson. I can see you up and smiling now that your husband is here." Dr Ashley said jovially as you approached the couple.
"Good day, doctor." Alia laughed feverishly, while Blaze stood up to receive the doctor.

"Very well." Dr Ashley smiled politely and got back to her work, giving Alia a reassuring wink.
"Oh God, please, help remain calm." Alia prayed earnestly in her heart as she closed her eyes.
After the examination was over, Alia listened to the doctor talk briefly about her food allergy and all the foods she should avoid for now. She watched as Blaze ticulously took notes on his phone as if he were writing an important examination.
"Dr Ashley, I would like to see you in private when you are less busy," Blaze said as the doctor rounded up her activities.
"In private!" Alia felt a cold shiver run down her spine at Blaze's request. Her drumming heart threatened to leap out of her chest as the doctor said,
"Certainly, Mr Anderson. You can co down to my office in the next one hour when I'm done with my ward round."
"Thank you. I'll..." Blaze paused when he tilted his head to look at Alia. He was shocked to notice how pale she had beco.
"Baby, are you alright?" Blaze asked, walking up to her and taking her trembling hands into his.
Alia simply nodded, words failing her as she tried not to look in the doctor's direction.
"But you're sweating and your hands are cold," Blaze noted in a slightly panicked voice, his gaze shifting to the doctor for an explanation.
"I'm sure it is nothing." Dr Ashley ca to Alia's rescue smiling at her while giving her a sign to start calm.
"I just gave her so drugs now and I believe she is responding positively to it. Although she hasn't eaten anything since last night. I'll suggest she eat a little and lie down. But if she doesn't feel like eating, you don't need to worry. The IV fluid going into her system will seek that out."
Blaze wasn't completely convinced until Alia patted him on the back of his hand and reassured him that she was fine.
Before Dr Ashley finally left the couple alone, she inford Blaze that Alia would be placed on compulsory bed rest for the next one week to enable her to recover properly.
