Alia ignored him as she used her tongue to check both sides of her lower dentition eager to spot an abnormality. But aside from a tiny questionable bump on the inner part of her left lower dentition, everything felt intact.

"Was it surgically implanted?" Alia asked after a few futile efforts to see the mysterious implant.

"No, dear. It was not a surgical procedure." Blaze explained patiently. " Rather, it was an advanced non-surgical painless procedure, that took Dr Martins roughly an hour to conclude while you were asleep and well sedated."

"Get out of here..." Alia dropped her phone to look at Blaze squarely. "So you gave a sleeping dication to rest my nerves and drugged again to carry out a non-surgical procedure on my inner jaw."

"I wouldn't call that drugging you." Blaze corrected. "Dr Martins is a professional and the sedative was given in minimal doses to avoid any form of pain or discomfort while you slept. Nevertheless, I know I shouldn't have done this without your consent and for that I'm truly sorry. We didn't have much ti to co up with a better plan."

"Are you kidding ?" Alia half scread in excitent. "You think I'm angry after everything you've gone through for ? Tears of joy gathered in Alia's eyes, confusing Blaze a little. She fanned her tears with her hands batting her lashes to push them back. "You are a f*cking genius honey and I'm... I'm so overwheld. Co here..." She pushed her chair backwards as she stood up and gave Blaze a most deserving kiss.

"Thank you," Alia said softly as she pulled away from the kiss, her forehead resting on Blaze's.

"You really need to stop telling thank you. You make feel like I've done sothing huge when I haven't done much."

"Well... It's the little things that matter." Alia nuzzled the tip of his nose before taking her seat.

"So, do you want Dr Martins to remove the implant or do you want to eat first."

"Let's see... I haven't eaten all day except for so god-forsaking juice that was ant to knock off. I think I will eat first to my satisfaction and remove the implant later."

"Splendid! Let's eat."

anwhile, at a popular VIP lounge in the heart of the city known for its best wines and pretty exotic ladies, Matt sat alone in one of the private VIP booths, sipping from his glass of expensive wine and staring blankly at his phone, waiting for it to ring.

The relaxing jazz music playing in the background did nothing to ease his growing tension. His gaze was narrowed and his thoughts were as black as the dark-thed booth where he was lounging.

It has been over ten hours since he last spoke to Ivy who assured him that Alia was history. She promised she would call him again when the job was done. This was supposed to be over five hours ago and yet no feedback.

Also, the contracted bikers gang whom he has paid a fortune to teach Blaze a bitter lesson for his insult and pin the attack on his elder brother were yet to give him a confirmation of the successful hit.

"He was about to take another sip of his drink when his phone ca alive, buzzing on the table."

"Finally!" A devilish grin spread across his face as a private number flashed on his screen. He picked up the phone leisurely and swiped the receive button.

"Is it done?" Matt asked, thinking it was Ivy.

"Excuse ?"

Matt's face scrunched even deeper as he heard another person's voice that sounded very familiar. "Lin?"

"Yes, what do you an by the earlier question?" Lin asked from the other end, curiosity brimming in her lowered voice.

"It's nothing," Matt said between clenched jaw. "What do you want and why is your voice low?"

"I'm calling to inform you that your brother and his friend Engr Van just arrived at Judith's house."

"So?" Matt scoffed, taking a sip of his drink.

"Surprisingly we t so heavily ard n who I think are working for Mr Blaze Anderson. We found a chopper within the premises and we have reasons to believe that Blaze Anderson and Alia are inside that house."

"What!" Matt almost spat out the wine in his mouth. But when he recalled how much he spent just to get one glass he swallowed the drink.

If the biker's gang attack was successful, alongside Alia's second abduction, Blaze would be too busy trying to clean up his ss and figuring out who was responsible for the attack.

"Did you see either of them?" Matt sat up in his seat, his heart pounding.

"No. But I have reasons to believe that they are inside and whatever they will be discussing wouldn't be in our favour."

"Can you get inside and eavesdrop on them."

"That's where the problem is. We weren't granted entry into the premises except for the senator and his friend, who went in unprotected. And there's another thing, the senator has been acting really weird ever since he left the office today. He keeps texting on a new phone he recently acquired without my knowledge. I think he knows sothing and he has been very discreet about it. You need to call him right now and get him out of Judith's house before it's too late."

The call disconnected leaving Matt in a state of panic and confusion. He hurriedly dialled his brother's number and to his surprise, the call was rejected. He tried three more tis before he got the electronic voice ssage, stating that the senator's number had been switched off.

"Shit!" Matt jumped to his feet and dialled Regina's number.

"Hello..."

"Where are you right now?" Matt asked impatiently between gritted teeth.

"Gwen and I just arrived at the mansion from the hospital."

"Quickly, go now to Judith's place and inform your husband that Mom has just passed out."

"What! But I'm looking at her right now. She's in the sitting room watching the television."

"Do it, god dammit and stop telling what you know." Matt angrily ended the call. He hurriedly finished his drink, picked up his car keys and dashed out of the lounge while making different desperate calls.
