"No sir." Sam shook his head. "At least nothing that I'm aware of. I saw her on television and she looks perfect to ."

"Oh...okay..." The senator heaved a sign of relief, taking another gulp of his drink.

"So what ugly incident did Matt have to deal with?"

Sam fidgeted, as he struggled with words, doing his best not to offend the senator.

"Sir, please, before I say anything I must first beg for your forgiveness. I know you are under a lot of stress due to Madam Gwen's hospitalization and Madam Alia's decision to stay away from the family. I regret making things any more difficult for you."

"Can you go straight to the point and stop wasting my ti, Sam." The senator rebuked harshly. "If you have sothing to say, spit it out before I lose my temper."

Sam gulped down his saliva feverishly, beads of sweat crowding his forehead, as his body started trembling.

"It has to do with, J...Jerry Morgan."

The senator, who was in the process of taking another sip of his drink, impulsively spat out the drink in his mouth on Sam's face and the table counter.

Sam flinched, taking a few steps backwards, wiping his face with his hand.

"What did you say?" The senator bood, rising up to his feet, his loud voice attracting so of the mansion servants to the lounge area.

"Jerry Morgan." Sam took more steps backwards from the table, his heart slamming widely against his chest at the senator's viciousness.

"Where is he?"

Sam's lips quivered. But no words ca out of it.

"Where, God damn it?" The senator's iron grip around the slender glass he was holding tightened causing it to shatter, spilling its contents on the table counter and the polished marble floor. The shards of broken glass cut into the senator's palm, causing his hand to bleed. But he felt nothing due to the adrenaline pumping inside his system courtesy of the new lies fed to him by Matt and Regina about Jerry.

"We found him outside the mansion gate looking bloodied and lifeless. According to the security n at the gate, he was dropped off by two dangerous-looking masked n driving a black tinted SUV." Sam explained in a trembling voice, his widened eying staring in horror at the blood coming out of the senator's hand and mixing with the spilled wine on the table.

"Upon closer inspection, the security personnel at the gate observed that all ten fingers of his hands had been cut off. There were so gory flesh injuries on his face and deep knife cuts on his chest and back."

"What!" The anger on the senator's face slowly dispersed and was replaced with horror and shock, as he slowly fell back on his seat, staring blankly at the butler who was still talking.

"We quickly inford Mr Matt since he is in charge of the house security and he ca down and took care of things. Before he left with Mr Jerry for the hospital, he made all of us promise not to bother you with the disturbing information until he ca back. But I couldn't keep it away from you, sir."

The senator nodded slowly, too stunned to say anything.

The Butler quickly attended to the senator's bleeding palm, seeing that he was a bit calr.

"Did he say which hospital he was taking Jerry to?"

"No sir. He didn't say."

The senator picked up his phone and dialled Matt's number. After speaking with the latter briefly on the phone, he stood up and left the mansions for the hospital.

Every attempt made by Judith, her husband and even her son to contact Sarah was t with a dead end. Her phone was simply unreachable. And at so point, it said switched out.

Acting like a mother on the verge of insanity, Judith hurried back to the airport late in the evening to make inquiries about the flight that her daughter boarded.

The family of three, made up of the father mother and son, were received by a friendly airport security personnel and handed over to the right departnt in charge of all flight-related issues.

The sympathetic mature woman on duty, went through the flight schedule for the day, confirming to the alard family that the said flight Sarah boarded had safely landed at its destination. It was also confird that all passengers were safely accounted for. But other than that, she couldn't give any other concrete information about Sarah's whereabouts so she handed the traumatized family to the airport police departnt.

At that mont, Judith had already flooded her husband's shirt with her tears while hoping against hope that soone would give her information relating to the whereabouts of her daughter.

The police officer in charge started with his routine interrogation, trying to gather as much information as he could about the missing passenger in question. However, as the questioning continued with any hint of Sarah's mysterious whereabouts, Judith finally snapped.

She abruptly stood up and started banging her fist on the interrogating office's desk.

"Enough of the stupid question and tell where my daughter is."

"Madam, please be patient."

"Patient!" Judith yelled at the top of her voice, her streaming tears clouding her vision. "My patience has thinned out. I cannot wait for one more second. My daughter could be in danger as we speak. Help , please. I beg you." She went down on her knees.

"Madam, please stand to. We are doing everything we can?"

"No, I don't see you doing anything other than asking more questions while my daughter could be in real danger."

"Sweetheart..."

Judith slapped her husband's hands away from her.

"Don't Hilary! I want my daughter."

"Mum please..." Michael stood up to console his mother, he pulled her up, into his arms and held her close. "We'll find her. Moreover, Sarah is a smart girl. Let's remain positive."

"For how long?" Judith's voice cracked, her body trembling in her son's arm.

"Madam do not worry," The Officer said standing. "We are doing everything within our power to find her. We cannot report a case of a missing person until after twenty-four hours. But we have already contacted the local police authority at ga City with a description of your daughter and the information you have provided us. They will get back to us in the next twenty-four hours or less."

"No!" Judith freed herself from her son and picked up her handbag. "I can't wait any longer. We have to take a flight. We have to go down to ga City and search for daughter and we have to do that now. Sarah might be in danger."

"Madam, please allow us to do our job."

The officer's words fell on deaf ears as Judith marched out of the room, with her son and husband running after her.

"Honey, wait..."

While Hillary ran after his wife, Michael quickly placed a call to his aunt, knowing only she could talk so sense into his mother.
