"AAARGH!"
Peter groaned as he fell down into the cushions of his bed.
For how heartless and outright torturous his training regi was, his overseers held nothing back when it ca to providing him with comforts.
If only the training weren’t so damn hard...
’At this point I can’t help but wonder, was it really smart to do my best?’
As one of the only two in the entire class that qualified for specialized training, Peter expected so sort of preferential treatnt.
Heck, he even went as far as to brag to the others that just like back in school, his athletic ability would net him a cozy, preferential treatnt! And with a powerful, A-rank swordsman system to boot, his future was painted in even brighter colors than back on Earth.
Or so he thought, before the reality of things finally caught up with him.
His talent?
As it turned out, it wasn’t an elevated starting point but a further goalpost. And his athletic ability?
Peter soon ca to realize that rather than being the special kind of young man that he was back on Earth, here, he rely qualified as just a slightly better trash.
Sprinting speed?
He couldn’t even keep up with the soldiers running around in their full, heavy equipnt.
Stamina?
By the ti he managed to climb up the upward slope of the hill, a bunch of fresh recruits was already done running down from it.
Be it his speed, stamina, reflexes, or even raw strength, Peter was worse at everything than even the worst of the locals.
His only saving grace? He was better than the rest of his classmates.
And now, laying down in the soft bed with all the delicious food that he could ask for and even the company of a willing mind if he had enough strength left in him to even think about this sort of an exercise, he could enjoy the best possible treatnt for an otherworlder.
’Who knows, maybe that loner got the best deal out of all of us,’ he thought, his mind attempting to recall the image of that silent guy who often opted to just tend to himself back in the class.
Surprisingly, though, as if there was sothing blocking his mory, he couldn’t recall a single detail of him.
His face?
A blank sheet.
His mannerisms?
He never cared enough to observe them. Why would a life’s winner like him ever bother with an NPC like that?
Maybe even sothing as simple as his na?
No.
Not even that little.
The only two things Peter could rember about that guy were the FFF-Rank Failure system that appeared above his head for the short mont before he just went and vanished, to the shock shared between not only the rest of the class...
But also everyone else present in the throne hall back on that fateful day.
Wherever it was that fate had brought him, though, it couldn’t be any worse than this hellish bootcamp that the rest of the class was sent off to!
"Haaaah..." Peter sighed out as he breathed all of his air out and stared at the white ceiling of his private chamber - yet another luxury only he and that fucking nerd of the class’ president were privy to.
’Wherever it is that he was whisked off to, there’s one thing I can say for sure.’
Peter breathed in before closing his eyes and twisting on the bed to assu a position that put the least amount of burden on his pained muscles.
’As harsh as this training might be, it is there for a reason. Which ans, if I ever get a chance to et him again...’
A small, satisfied smile appeared on Peter’s lips, his imagination full of the images of just what he would do to that lucky fucker now that his status grew even above the one he had back on Earth... and now that he was in a world where no one cared enough to enforce societal limits upon him.

’Another day, another night...’
Stepping into her private chamber, Kayle faceplanted herself into the cushions of her bed.
This was the only saving grace of her current situation, a chance to give her body a proper rest after spending an entire day working harder than anyone else in her class.
Sure, the rest of her forr classmates had it hard, being pushed to their limits by that infamous drill sergeant, constantly forced to reach for their physical limits and then to overco them, with a healer on standby ready to heal them whenever soone broke.
Kayle wasn’t as full of herself as to deny the efforts her fellow earthlings were putting in just to survive this ordeal.
But when it ca to her own training regi?
Even now, in her ti to rest, she struggled to clear her head. And the more she thought about the exercise of her classmates, the more jealous she grew.
’They have it so damn easy...’ she muttered into her pillow, gritting her teeth the mont a shadow of a mory of her training resurfaced in her mind.
Just like everyone else, her body was constantly pushed to the limits through simple yet effective exercises. But unlike the others, that was rely the easier half of her training. The other, much more difficult one, was focused on helping her to master the talent she apparently had in magic.
And not just an everyday sort of magic, as this country’s mages claid, but of the rarest, primordial school of magic!
With her fate as the "S-Rank Elental Wielder" she was bound to reach heights hardly anyone in this kingdom’s history managed to witness.
Free from the burden of complex spells and incantations, she was born to this world to wield elental magic directly, having a perfect affinity with all four basic and then three out of four of the advanced elents.
According to the legend, if she were to sohow master the elusive eighth elent despite her lack of natural affinity to it, she could even advance her fate and beco a null mage, the one type of magic wielder that could boast a true, unrestrained control over the magic itself.
But for that to happen, while everyone else was pushing their body to the limits, not only was she following an even harsher training regi, but she also had to do so while constantly trying to feel out for the presence of the magical elents in the air around her, slowly building up her ability to sense and thus control them!
’After all of my efforts back on Earth, rather than seeing them pay dividends in the university, I’m forced to start from scratch and put even more effort just to make use of my supposed talent...’ Kayle gritted her teeth in silent frustration.
She then took a deep breath, pushing all of those emotions down her throat, deep into the very core of her soul where they had no chance of ever rising up to the surface.
’So be it,’ she thought, her frustration replaced by cold determination. ’I will do it. I will put all the effort it takes to bring my talents to their ultimate form. And then...’
Her look of determination now gave way to a small, vicious smirk only for her face to then relax as she started to fall into the embrace of a well-earned slumber.
’And then....’
